I would also like to believe the owner of the site has a legitimate reason for the current state of his site.  However, I have less faith in humanity considering to what lengths people will go to secure a massive bitcoin wallet (who only they have the keys to).  I'm guessing the owner will be laying low for quite some time before attempting to move the coins.  I would however be very interested in pursuing the current host of the site.  How could we legally force them to give up their customer information?

Tweaked, thanks for the curl commands you posted earlier.  I didn't know the site had a functioning API.  I have been spamming them to send me back my coins the past few days.  I guess this is only thing we can do at this point.  From how the TORwallet representative spoke, it seemed the site was ran by multiple people (say 2 or 3).  If this is true, I wonder if only 1 person actually had possession of the coins at any given time, or if it was split equally with some sort of "checks and balances" in place?  If one of them decided to take off with the majority of the coins the service bounced around, you would think the other developers would have called foul to the community to let its users know the site went rogue.  Not a single person (besides the site's users) have come forward claiming to know why the site is "malfunctioning" (AKA stealing).  This makes me think TORwallet was run by one individual who manipulated the image of their mixing service to look more trustworthy.  This is all speculation and meaningless, but I'm just trying to contribute to the investigation and at least get the word out to steer clear of the site.  Mods, for fucks sake, please tag the user as a scammer.

I cannot agree more with this statement.  If they get their service working properly and return all coins, the scammer tag should be instantly removed.

I just want to add that I'm in the same situation as Tweaked.  My TORwallet link still works and I can see the balance.  When I check the coins on Blockchain.info, the coins have not actually moved since the initial deposit.

It would be nice if TORwallet popped in here to provide the support he/she promised back in June.

Good thinking and thanks for setting up such a service.  At this point, it's clear they are either incompetent or malicious.  Either way, they have no business holding on other people's coins. I agree with you that it's very strange the site is still operating and accepting deposits (with no way to retrieve them).  It would make more sense for the site to disappear completely (they know users have no way find them regardless).  The paranoid part of me thinks they already made the decision to scam their users and merely left the ability to deposit coins working to snatch every last microbit people are willing to give them.  I hope I'm wrong.

I'd give them a couple more days before you resort to something like this.  Just my 2 cents.
