Being new to the world of cryptos, I got myself invested in a few coins and have been mining some as well.

Last month, as part of my research, I can across this HYIP site called Control-Finance that literally got me hyped. I couldn't take my thoughts off it. Even after all the red flags, I decided to invest 150$ just to be my own example - I wanted to hurt myself financially to teach myself a lesson of never even considering something like this again. You know, some people learn the hard way.

Anyway, it has only been 10 days, and the flight has been smooth.

We all know how Ponzi schemes end - there will be tears. Or... will there? The thing is, while I had clearly different reasons to participate, I think a majority of people actually do it knowing well that their profits will run for a few months before the company goes belly up. The point is, they will probably still make a profit. With the interest rate they offer, you don't need, even one month (specifically, 4th month) is a return you will never get lending your money to a bank.

So what do you think? Is it ethical to choose to participate in an obvious scam knowing you will profit while somebody else down the line will suffer?

A disclaimer: I am not invested in BitConnect (although I am in a different, what many will undoubtedly perceive as dirty scheme).

After doing some research on BitConnect and a few other up and coming (and more or less successful) HYIP programs, it is hard to disagree that there is a tremendous risk behind them and, likely, they will all go belly up sooner than later. That said, BitConnect has been around for almost a year now, and people made some money, and people keep making money, and it doesn't look like it is going to die tomorrow.

It is clear that it is not the most beautiful or ethical way of making money - you're supporting a system that will eventually hurt its customers, but it works, and if you jump in now, you have a good chance of getting a decent return on your money.

That is, if you are stress-resistant. =)

Yeah, I started mining yesterday with a single gpu, and am already getting roughly twice as little as I did yesterday. Could it be pool-related or is it the same across all pools?

Is there a detailed roadmap for the coin?  I am struggling to understand how komodo is connected to local currencies. Is there a better explanation of that part anywhere besides the main website?


I don't know if it is related, but I couldn't withdraw any of my coins either. I had to download the Swing wallet to move them to an exchange.

Is it me or the difficulty went up quite noticeably since yesterday? I am making 30% less today now.

Man, the coin is surely taking off. Is there a target price for it? Sorry if I missed it.

I am not a rep, but it is clearly an investment plan. Because tokens won't be free, you will have to invest money by buying them and holding them to get a return. It is not very different from BitConnect even though it is a completely different system.
