I think the first phase alone could be a game changer for microtasks, let alone the subsequent phases. But let's focus on executing the first phase to perfection.

Yikes, people are really filing taxes in the last minute. I thought the worst was over. I hope it won't cause a last minute Bitcoin crash as people realize what they owe. Even though I don't condone the taxes.

We are giving away $6000 worth of EFX in a Telegram-exclusive gif contest! Head over to our official Telegram channel for the details: https://t.me/effectai
And please beware of scammers! We will not ask you to transfer any funds during this contest. https://t.me/effectai

Thanks for the heads up! I hope the competition is still going on because I need to make up on some losses Wink

And why would anyone transfer funds for a competition?

To be honest I did a lot worse percentage wise, but fortunately not in absolute figures.

200 BTC is still a lot of money, I can only dream of such an amount. In fact did you open this thread to humble brag?

In my opinion taxes on crypto are ridiculous. Governments hate crypto enough spread so much FUD, even pay people to make FUD videos, but they still want to claim taxes. If they think crypto is worthless and the true price is 0 then the taxes should be 0 too.

So many fans of Effect AI! Grin

I don't know about the AI marketplace. AI could be big, there's a lot of hype now, but it could also become like 3D-TVs.

Personally I'm more interested in its Mechanical Turk phase.

For the record, I hate e-mail. It's so flawed and outdated you'd think there'd be a replacement. If it isn't going the way of the postal industry soon I'm going postal.

There need to be more projects that add value and usage to the Ethereum ecosphere and stops people from exchanging Ethereum. ICOs aren't the way to go because the money that went in is often cashed out by the development teams.

Effect.ai is very cool. They are going to create an open, decentralized network that provides services in the Artificial Intelligence market and their ICO closed with 11+ million euro worth of investments.

I'm primarily looking forward to Effect.Ai's first phase, the Mechanical Turk for feeding artificial intelligence algorithms. There rewards are better than Amazon's, they pay out faster and it's available in far more countries.

Do you think Effect.AI stands a chance against Amazon M-Turk? Amazon's payouts are currently low, but once they see a viable competitor they may decide to raise rewards. Amazon has incredibly deep pockets and will win any battle if it comes down to endurance. How could Effect.AI win?

Re: Steve Wozniak: Bitcoin is mathematical

What if every Bitcoin replaced money and represented a piece of the world, replacing stocks? All value in the world would be linked to Bitcoin and expressed in Bitcoin. How much money and stock value is there? Now take that number and divide it by the number of Bitcoin. That is the value of 1 BTC.

So many traditionalists in this thread who are using circular reasoning instead of thinking outside the box. I wonder what they're even doing on this forum. Why are they even interesting in Bitcoin?

People are naturally inclined to see patterns where there aren't any, like the face of Jesus in toast or in the craters on Mars. As long as enough people believe there's a pattern there's a chance the pattern becomes reality.

i am questioning weather he truly believed what he said or weather he just wanted to appease bitcoiners, to make them feel better.

I doesn't matter. If the idea spreads and people start believing it, it's bound to happen. There's a name for that, it's called a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Re: Ideas on de-centralized regulation.
by

In the name of the topic is a contradiction. Regulation cannot be decentralized. In order to come up with and implement the General rules need a Central authority and this is a real centralization it contradicts the idea of creating an oval bitcoin can only harm. We need to be able to adapt to the conditions that exist. It is not difficult if you have a desire.

I disagree. In a democracy central authorities follow laws formed by societal consensus. Societal consensus can be achieved in a decentralized way. Now we need to find a way to enforce decentralized law, in such a way that prevents authority overstepping their boundaries.
