If your power is over $0.10 I would not recommend getting into the Bitcoin mining business, at least not for now.
Antminer S5 can get you 1.15 TH/s with about 600W of power usage. Your power costs would be about $56.00 per month and your monthly profit would be only $25.00 based on the current Bitcoin rate and difficulty. This month the difficulty is expected to increase, so your profit would even decrease.

I have several of those S5's and I'm experiencing a huge difference in power consumption.
S5 running at 350M = 630W
Why am I not getting the 590W with the default frequency of 350M?
I'm using EVGA G2 750W power supply. Measuring power using a Kill A Watt.

is this after the psu? i think the 590 is on the 12v line.
you have to also factor in the psu efficiency.. on a 750w psu you are at like 85% and most psu are most efficient at 50-60%
I should have probably got one of those 1300W, right?
I think a 1300 is overkill. I have had good luck with RM1000's.
I love them have a few of them on a few different miners, including a S5. If you want even better you can go with platinum PSU.
Which platinum PSU would you recommend? The EVGA 1000 P2?

How can I create a worker ID? I can't find it anywhere.
Yes use your mining ID then a .with a number so it looks like this sampleID.15 then give it a few mins like 5 or 10 before it shows up on your mining page
EDIT: from Bitmain page...Worker: aurel. or aurel_. Workers are added automatically, use any password.
Done. Its showing as Dead, however I will give it a few minutes. Hopefully it will work.
Also I'm unable to update my Bitcoin Wallet, as no confirmation email arrives. Been waiting for few hours now and tired several times, no luck.
