I fully agree with you. Whenever someone mentions marketing you get answered with "we don't need any hype".
Nem is hardly used by any business, so how do you expect it to be valuable in the long term.
No matter how good the tech is, if there is no marketing and no one can use it in their daily life it will become useless.
It looks like nem was just a hobby project or a test project for the Nem team. they are too busy creating some other stuff for real businesses like Mijjn and Catapult. And we just hope that some of the success will flow into Nem. Just pathetic. They have a Nem marketing fund which they do not use and they do not update us about their plans with regard to Nem itself.
No idea why people are so excited with those side projects, currently Catapult that is supposed to come out in August. I doubt we will see any positive effect that causes shops and businesses to implement NEM

It sounds like you're trying to run down the price to scoop up some more. Can you keep doing that, because I put in a super lowball buy order and it would be kind of cool if it filled...
To the one who said they invested family savings in NEM, very, very risky. It might work out, but it also might not, and no matter how good the coin is, only invest what you can afford to lose.
And when you start feeling that you can't afford to lose what's been gained, it's time to take some profits and diversify.
i have 50 % of the family saving into crypto not all(my wife doesn't know it yet lol)
i did it because i hate my job, it's worth risking
i liquidated stellar and dash and chose Nem after i've done my little research
i feel more secure holding nem, the marketing is the only thing that scares me a bit
overall nem is solid .
How are you going to explain the profit then if earn big?? Just keep it a secret?

Whatever happened to our silver coins? I'm an original stakeholder, dumped my stake at launch. Haven't kept up with the thread until then. Did the silver coins go out yet?
Noting done yet. The topic comes up every now and then with the last suggestion being give everyone who claims a trezor or ledger wallet pre-loaded with the silvercoins stake divided by the number of stakeholders. Im not sure if any Dev responded to this yet
They need to get with it. It should be a priority at this point, it's been long enough.

Looks good and would not need to change images on vice or on the coins
The original cluster isnt bad but with the 3 nem colors planted in the middle doesnt help

I don't expect many people to be verifying this way, at least at this stage of the coin. miiCard will be the latest addition for participant verification, and for our purposes it should work out great. Pay out of nem coins, the real ones, will be automated. You will just have to send your tokens to a nxt address along with a nem account number in a message attached and your real coins will be sent to you. If you have .1 tokens you will get .1 of a nem stake in real coins. .1 is a tenth of a stake so 156k coins.

That's incorrect. 1 Nemstake = 1 million NEM. 1/10 stake (100.000 NEM) is the smallest unit you can trade in asset exchange.
oh sorry. i thought it was 1.56.. was sure i read it somehwere.. anyway thats ok.. makes allot more sence now being 1 stake = 1 token thus being able to trade 100 coins at once. much simpler, thanks

The coin total was adjusted to 25 billion coins. I have 60% setup for manual distribution, 40% for pos staking. Now evenly distributed that would bring a realistic number of about 3000 people. Some time into the giveaway the amount given will be reduced, depending on adoption rate. If that be the case it will be much larger than 3000 people. We'll see how it plays out!
