I, too have, five coupons for S2 for $400 USD off each.

I'm not sure why I even got these, I've never even purchased a single S2. And, I don't intend to.

Just curious how I ended-up with these...

I really wish that when Bitmain updates their website, that they include an "Authorized Resellers" list with links, etc.

It just makes it easier to sort out the legit versus illegit.

So, how about it, Mr. Bitman!

I hope you were simply being sarcastic with the "Mr. Bitmain" comment.  Juan has been a trusted reseller to many.  Take it easy on him.

Not being sarcastic, nor was this message intended for Juan.

I'm just speaking about others that I've seen here and elsewhere that 'claim' as 'Bitmain authorized dealers'

And, for the record I know Juan (Top Mining) and Minersource (Bobsage) are trusted here and have credibility.

Contact: info@bitmaintech.com
URL: https://www.bitmaintech.com

We Just purchased 5-S2's BEFORE the Coupons Were Issued and NOW YOU REFUSE to Treat us with Professional Customer Service Giving us Credit for the 5-S2's Purchased the 500.00 Credit.
You FINALLY sent us the Coupons After We purchased and have bought nearly 100,000.00 USD of products from you.
BUT these coupons can only be used one per unit.
We plan to purchase 2-3 more S2's and the coupons are useless for those 5-Units we already Purchased.
Why are you treating us this way???

The LEAST you could do is treat us Properly and Professionally in this matter and Issue us Either a 500.00 USD Credit in BTC to the Address Provided in multiple PM's OR a 600.00 Coupon that can be applied to a single miner and a 100.00 Coupon to be applied to another miner.
Then you could delete the 7-Coupons we have in our account.

After many PM's back and forth you have  REFUSED to Address this issue and the replies given are AS IF you just don't understand while YOU DO UNDERSTAND VERY WELL.

IF you wish you can Refund the entire amount for the 5-pcs S2's to the BTC Address Provided in the PM's and we can repurchase and apply the Coupons one per unit.

ALL the Above has been sent in multiple PM's and an email...

IF you wish us NOT to do Business with you Ever Again we will Comply.

Please Advise.

SINCERELY...

From what I've been reading as of late, this sounds like they are following the same path as BFL. My coupon questions were also ignored multiple times for my S1s - and I'm a small french fry compared to the rest of you all with mega big purchases.

So sad, indeed.  And to think, I had so much respect for Bitman's prompt service earlier this year.  They were always slow to reply, but they would respond back...eventually.  Bitman, don't be another BFL, please!

holly super ants! has anyone tried this service, looks like they are all S1 Ants?

mBigas-com

I won an hour of 180GH/s for $1.05 on flea-bay. I know it won't mine anything close to the cost but not a bad solution for folks that want coins and don't have the technical resources or verified access to Bitcoin markets.

Better to just open up a Coinbase account (if you are in the USA) and buy Bitcoins via bank transfer from your account.  Then, you'll have your portions of BTC.

Yup, I agree with the other poster, it's pretty close.

I searched earlier in one of the S1 Setup forums and read EACH BLADE requires/draws ~15 amps each - so, basically ~30 amps total for each S1 under stock mode.

Just make sure you check your PCI-E wires on BOTH ends and see if they get super hot.

EDIT: BTW, in one of Sushi's threads, it's "recommended" that you have ONE SEPARATE 12V PCI-E cable (non-splitted) to EACH S1 Blade for safety reasons.

Yup, that fake Bitmain site was brought up here in he forums a few days ago.

Someone clicked on an external link on some Bitcoin wiki site...

Never trust those links on them Wiki sites..anybody can edit them and put anything they want.

Hopefully, no one else gets taken.

Paid 0.837 to this address:

https://blockchain.info/address/1DvVqPb8Bq4WEECwdpAP4S2qkmZxaU9FkT

Is it just me that raped?

Sorry to hear that.  This is really terrible.

Personally, I hesitate clicking on external links from those so called 'Wiki' sites.

All I know is that Bitmain's official profile and signature here on the forums point directly to his (legit) official website, same goes true for their official FB, Weibo and Twitter pages listed in the 'About Us' section of their site.

I went to GoDaddy and did a WHOIS on bitmaintechs and found out it was registered/created on 2014-03-31.

Re: D750 750W Server PSU Breakout Boards

I switched 5 Ants over to the 3-panel, that I had running on three separate boards externally wired up in pretty much the same way except without unified fan control. Seems to be working well so far. If I can template all the changes and materials for that setup we should be able to batch some without a lot of trouble.

Also I'm drawing up schematics for an external load-balancing circuit for the DPS-800. If I can get it successfully prototyped this weekend would be nice, and we can get onto PCB design in the next few days. It'll still be many weeks before we'd have a board ready to ship, since we'll first have to get test boards made and stress-test them either into oblivion or passable standards, then get a large batch ordered and start manufacture. I don't see having them before May.

Oh also, anyone buying boards now (or that has bought boards in the last week or so) is getting the new V0.5 boards shipped. The main changes affecting customers are a different DIP switch setup, better current measurement, and the PSU-side connector is actually the real part so it should slot into place a lot smoother and more reliably. New documentation is at http://www.gekkoscience.com/misc/V0.5_Board_Doc.pdf

Thanks for the quick shipping!  I got them yesterday!

Thanks again, and they're running smoothly on my OC'd Ants!

So...do we know for sure?  Is the S1 permanently out of stock at Bitmain or is this just a temporary out of stock condition?

I PM'd the Bitmeister here a few days ago asking him about the out of stock situation on the S1s, additional S1 coupons and getting a Bitmain T-shirt.

He replied back answering only one of my questions - and that was about the T-shirt (which is still in production)!  LoL!

  Cheesy

Unless they are really gone and no mas, they'll probably "86" it on the homepage!

If I don't see an update on the Bitmain site by Monday or Tuesday, then I'll just head over to Bob's Mineersource website (http://minersource.net/)!  He's awesome, his pricing is reasonable and he's got them in stock (for now)!  Maybe, he'll hook me up with a free Bitmain T-Shirt! hahaha

well, there IS this little website called eBay...  Grin

Also, try minersource.net.

Lastly, rumor has it Bitmain is culling it's S1 inventory and discontinuing S1 production in favor of the S2.

Been hearing that rumor for a few months now; however, I think it's still all just vaporware IMHO.

I've got a customer of mine that needs to purchase 3 more to complete their rig requirements. This lack of communication from The Bitman, himself is having me to pursue the other option.  I'd actually rather go with Mr. Bob over at Minersource than with someone on eBay.  Mr. Bob has more credibility and his markup on the Ants is much more reasonable compared to those blokes on eBay! Just my two bits worth...

Bitmaintech is SOLD OUT! where do we get machines now?

Hopefully, this will be temporary. Maybe a few days time.

I've seen this happen a few times these last few months...must be selling out pretty fast...as they are VERY popular units (IMHO).  I'm sure Bitmain has a pretty great supply chain situation.

I just PM Mr. Bitman last night.  I need order more, too!

I'm just totally impressed how I got my most recent order of Ants in like 4 calendar days!!  Un-effing believable!

Hi,

I'm curious how you did this setup?  I want to do something similar.  I know you have to apply primary power to the control board side of each of the ants.

Just thought id let anyone in Australia know that I bought 2 x of the adapter boards with cables from Sidehack to connect up the 750W power supply and it works like a dream.
Compared to what I had rigged up already, these boards make connecting up an Antminer S1 a piece of cake. I also love the fact that now I can power cycle the Ant by simply flicking the switch.
Not to mention being able to control the fans, without having to jumper the pins, to put them at a quieter operating level.
The cables that come with it have not even gotten warm as they are nice and thick guage.
From the time I ordered and paid for the boards, it took about 2 weeks, which I think was mainly due to them being held up in customs, but they arrived no worries at all. Sidehack posted the gear the day I paid for them.
So anyone hesitating buying these boards to run with the Dell server power supplies for a bucketload cheaper than the Corsairs or others, just do it. You wont regret it.

Great feedback!

I just got me a pair as well!

Thanks!
