No, ICO's are still alive but just aren't as popular as they were a couple of years ago.  There are many projects that are releasing working products and their prices are below or near their ICO price.  These projects are a better investment than gambling on a new ICO.

I am positive that investors would prefer that the team pay out bounties with Ethereum instead of the actual tokens they have invested in.  Bounty hunters often dump their bounties immediately when it is listed on an exchange.  This effects the price negatively if the trading volume isn't high. 

Investing a million dollars into cryptocurrencies is extreme.  The whole point of investing in cryptos is there's a chance you can turn pennies, into dollars.  If you're already well off and have a million to invest, put no more than 100k into cryptos and put the rest into sometime less risky like real estate. 

These days, it's better to just wait until the project is listed on an exchange to buy.  Most likely, you'll be paying much less than if you purchased during the ICO.  The ICO fever is over. 

Browse coinmarketcap.com and click on "next 100" until it gets you to the marketcap range you're looking for.  Then do your research on each project and see which one you like.

It will most likely be a small cap coin that isn't even ranked in the top 200 on coinmarketcap.  These sleeper coins are the ones that usually bring in massive profits. 

It seems as though the generosity of giving out merits have died down quite a bit.  I don't know if it's cause those that are already holding high ranks don't care for the system or feel it's not worth their time to give out merits.  It is a very difficult task to earn merits these days, just like solo mining bitcoins. 

I am saving fiat for my kid but not bitcoins/cryptocurrencies.  I don't want my kid to get involved in this industry. 

It's never too late.  Bitcoin will eventually break it's all time high.

I wouldn't even bother with airdrops unless you want your email flooded with spam. 

Are the merit sources on vacation?  It seems like there aren't many merits going around these days.  Maybe people are just lazy to give them out or don't really care for the system. 

Learn from this experience and make sure it doesn't happen again.  No one can help you retrieve your tokens. 

Do it.  Just don't cry if you end up living with the rats on the street.  

In 50 years?  Who cares!  Why worry about something so far in the future that you aren't even guaranteed to be alive by then to find out.

I wouldn't be bragging about receiving 10 merits for your one liner post.  It looks like DeepOnion has a merit swapping program going on.  Is this a new requirement to be accepted into the airdrop?

Coinmarketap should be the first place you check.  If it's not listed on there, find the bitcointalk announcement thread to see if it's listed on an  exchange yet.  If it's not, you're just going to have to wait or try to sell them privately. 

It's only been one month?  I swear it feels so much longer.  Getting a merit is like finding a bitcoin block while solo mining. 

For sure, it won't be you.  No wonder you don't have any merits.   Your post is a waste of space.  Practice what you preach and make quality posts.
