I have 10 workers. 10 machines.
Sometimes some worker shows offline on Omar pool.
but miner shows working.
Seems pool not stable?

OmarG Pools has had problems before, but if the miner is still getting work and submitting shares then it sounds as if the pool backend is still working as it should. If you worry, set up failover for your workers so they can switch to another pool in case OmarG's pool goes offline.

Don't forget that the Solcoin team has an official P2Pool which is maintained by us, and always online: stratum+tcp://p2pool.solcoin.net:8360 with mining info on http://p2pool.solcoin.net:8360/static/.

I am use Omar pool now,
Sometimes it shows my worker offline.
But when  I check miner  it still working..
Is it a Omar pool bug?

If you are worried that the pool might go offline you can configure your miner to use a backup pool, just to be on the safe side.

In response to rising block chain activity from Asian users, to provide faster block chain propagation, we just launched a new node in Singapore. The Solcoin team is now operating 6 nodes on 5 different geographical locations.

Update: we've added a second node for Asia, in Taiwan.

2014.09.10 14:00 (UTC+8) - SoFund Foundation Announcement

From Sep. 10 to Oct. 10, 2014, the SoFund Foundation will acquire Solcoin on the open market. As the basis for its next business model, it is expected to buy up 20,000,000-30,000,000 SOL, with buying criteria of 10% above or below the 30-day moving average (30MA) of the AllCoin
12-hour. We will continue buying at the following four exchanges using these criteria.

https://ybex.co/coins (English: http://en.ybex.co/coins)
https://www.allcoin.com/trade/sol_btc
https://www.swisscex.com/market/SOL_BTC
https://www.usecryptos.com/market/SOL-BTC

The SoFund Foundation currently holds 8,000,000 SOL, and the development & applications team will donate an additional 2,000,000 SOL, increasing SoFund's total SOL holdings to 10,000,000 SOL.

Please refer to https://www.facebook.com/pages/Solcoin/1581655052060298 for the current 30MA.

2014.09.09 14:00 (UTC+8) - Solcoin has been listed on the Chinese exchange Ybex

Chinese: https://ybex.co/coins
English: http://en.ybex.co/coins

Currently Ybex Exchange trades SOL with 0% fee, offering both Chinese and English interface. Ybex will be focused on as the official Solcoin trading point, and we recommend all Solcoin customers and miners to trade primarily on Ybex.

The VPS server host where the official P2Pool is hosted had a server outtage on the morning of 9th September, lasting about 5 hours. The server and the P2Pool is back online and running now, and all shares delivered to the pool up until the server crash were saved and accounted for.

It appears that the biggest Solcoin pool, OmarGPools, has been having technical problems lately. As more than half of the network hashrate is on OmarGPools we would like to remind miners that there is an official Solcoin P2Pool maintained by the Solcoin team - stratum+tcp://p2pool.solcoin.net:8360 - and we recommend configuring your workers to use it as failover/backup.

As usual for P2Pools you set your Solcoin address as username and 'x' as password.

Block 100k was found yesterday after 224 days of mining, with an average block time of 3.2 minutes. The number of days needed for block 100k if each block had been exactly 3.14 minutes apart is 218 days.

(What this means is that mining progress has been very steady since Solcoin was launched in the first week of January.)

This is a minor update, and is not mandatory. The main changes are that the Qt wallet finally has QR code support enabled, and the Linux clients now come in both 32- and 64-bit flavors. In addition, the Windows version is now built against version 5 of the Berkeley DB instead of the old version 4.8. There shouldn't be any wallet incompatibility problems when upgrading, but as always: backup your wallet before using a new version.

Re: [600 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool

I'm running a p2pool for an altcoin, and I'm seeing odd payouts that don't reflect the 1% fee configured. More like 0.2-0.5%. Here is a list of transactions going to the wallet of the daemon the pool is connected to: http://explorer.solcoin.net/address/8SLHAh8LukapttooKzdWocZ41tG5hne1UQ

Each block has a value of 1772 coins currently, so each transaction per found block should be around 17 coins, no? What's causing this?

The fee is 1% of valid shares, not 1% of total BTC mined.

So if a miner submits 100 shares, the expected result is the miner receives 99 and the node address receives 1.

Code in work.py line 161:
Code:
        if random.uniform(0, 100) < self.worker_fee:
            pubkey_hash = self.my_pubkey_hash
        else:
            try:
                pubkey_hash = bitcoin_data.address_to_pubkey_hash(user, self.node.net.PARENT)
            except: # XXX blah
                pubkey_hash = self.my_pubkey_hash

        return user, pubkey_hash, desired_share_target, desired_pseudoshare_target

Ah, that explains it I guess. Thanks!

This update includes a new DNS seed node and some corrections to the hardcoded nodes, and is built against the latest OpenSSL 1.0.1i which contains a number of security fixes. It's not a mandatory update but we recommend it, especially for the exchanges and pools.

I don`t have much scrypt power to check it is working and producing 100% proper blocks, so please test it Smiley

Block found, it seems to work fine: http://solcoin-explorer.tru.io/?a945e4dde684df4894383ea9b25aead8d0c529414306e9371eb69bd5862e253d

Thanks again for creating the Solcoin network declaration on your p2pool fork.

Official Solcoin P2Pool with 1% fee is running on  stratum+tcp://p2pool.solcoin.net:8360

Web stats are available on  http://p2pool.solcoin.net:8360/static/

As usual with p2pool mining you set your Solcoin address as username, and 'x' as password. Give it a try and let us know if something isn't working as it should.
