This one really worked in my case. BUT in my case, that tiny chip near SD card is in place, so can't tell if this will work for those whose control board does not have that chip in place.

I am not really good at these things, but it looks like what Bitmain hid under vague "further security" ended up being not entirely secure ... I mean if I managed to use that method to get rid of signature check for new updates, then a virus would surely be capable to use that to do its stuff.

I guess so, but made me nervous at first because he said we will do the same with S17 and ifthat would happen all those innosilicons and avalons would become pumpkins (not that they're doing very well now though)

Did anyone notice that Jihan Wu said on WDMC that in S17e they used revised 16nm asics? That can't be true I guess. Maybe he meant to refer to S9se which would have made more sense. Any ideas?

К сожалению, похоже Авалоны не очень "народные" в плане стоимости. В настоящее время S9 можно найти уже по 95 т.р., а за 821 Авалон просят не меньше 120 (несмотря на то, что продают их комплектами из 5 шт; итого 600 за весь комплект). И еще, в Россию их, похоже, не так много возят.
