well actually, a fork WOULD test out his "new 51% attack prevention solution"

You are assuming compatibility with the current system. The longer fork would have to be accepted by the existing clients.

So youre going to hurt all the people who got a bounty just because someone was abrasive ?

Some of the best chefs in the world are complete assholes yet you dont see people refusing to eat at their restaurants. Dont want to get hurt feelings? Dont go in the kitchen...

Actually, my suggestion was that the prohibition on spending his pre-mined coins should be implemented at the current block. The people who PREVIOUSLY took bounty money in good faith before CoinHunter screwed up big time and lost control of his project should not be penalized.

I think thats wise if you go down that path.

However who gets to choose who owns what coins ?

And when you go to the restaurant you don't deal with the asshole chef or go in the kitchen you deal with the staff of the establishment who are usually very helpful or people don't go back no matter how good the food...

That is true. However that doesnt excuse the fact people want to exclude the first 30 000 coins mined which ARE ALL BOUNTY COINS.

Bitcoin will soon be regulated out of existence, some of the main developers are gagging for it.

Where are you going to go when  that happens ?

I just hate when a sucker wants to play god

Thanks for providing an alternative. Although its more than about a license imo.

Making a new fork would just make people dislike open source.

It will fork anyway if the majority choose to use this client . Just like democracy you dont get a say if 51% imposes their will.

Only CoinHunter dislikes open source. The rest of us here like it just fine.

Why, are you him?

No. I merely want to point out that if the majority use this client it doesnt matter what I or CH thinks if you have the support of more than 51% of the miners.

Ideally you should make another chain instead of trying to fork this one.

Its purely democracy.

Just to clarify; Bruce's referrence to "fugitives" couldn't possibly include me.

My real name, address and telephone number are in the whois record. I might be the easist man to locate in all of the bitcoin realm.

Nanaimo Gold is now the world's oldest running exchanger of digital currencies, the first exchanger of bitcoin and the only exchanger to run through the entire lifespan of bitcoin without a hack or more than a brief downtime.

A fugitve could not accomplish that.

That's some serious accusation you have there. Let's look at the situation: Someone threw a joke that you scammed some coins from the MyBitcoinCoin and now you're going all out how the person is abusing 7 year old children and what not. That's way out of scale man.

Please do post your own proof: what are the other aliases of Bruce Wagner that are discussing about child abuse and how did you come to the conclusion that they are the same person?

I'm open minded and not locking any possibilites away. So please do elaborate on your claims.

Oh, that was a JOKE! Well my bad. Some news reporter in a foreign country was just making a JOKE when she told the world that I'm a thief.

Bruce is a con artist and he surely conned you, didn't he?

Joke indeed.

So assburgers, where is that proof that I made some negative judgement about being gay. Come on already. Lets see some proof of your claims! You call me a homophobe, show your work!

Gay people are not perverts and  trying to insult people by calling them "assburgers" is yet another way you show your lack of consideration. You are a small hate filled little man. Id rather be a gay perverted aspergers that a shane smith.  Smiley

Methinks you do protest too much about sodomy.

In economics, regulatory capture occurs when a state regulatory agency created to act in the public interest instead advances the commercial or special interests that dominate the industry or sector it is charged with regulating. Regulatory capture is a form of government failure, as it can act as an encouragement for large firms to produce negative externalities. The agencies are called "captured agencies".

So the companies that are regulated and have to bear huge overheads in taxation and paperwork go after the ones who dont have the burden ie they divide and conquer.

Whats the point of a p2p currency if it becomes just another centralized bank system ?

Theres also the recent situation where one of the  main spokesperson was caught posting on rentathailadyboy.com and skipping out on an order to pay victims of a mortgage scam.

I still havent seen the bitcoin devs make a statement that they disprove of this behaviour. Bitcoin is now seen in some places as a pedophile network or as a haven for scammers.

While I think a lot of it is a hit piece it still speaks volumes when there is crushing silence on an issue.

Does your new coin solves the principal scalability problem of BitCoin?

By that I assume the ability to endlessly print new money ?

Holy crap ignorance must be bliss.
Don't worry - solidcoin dev will just swipe that code from Bitcoin when the Bitcoin team solves it (and release the untested code and claim it as an 'advantage')

oh.. the solidcoin accelerated schedule means it might be their problem first!?   Hilarity will ensue!
(Actually it'll only be a problem for solidcoin if they get a serious number of users and transactions, so it does seem likely Bitcoin will solve it for all the parasite forks such as SC)

maybe ask the other two forks why they stole solidcoins algorythm then.

Why did you choose the dollar currency sign? Is it pegged to USD?

Because we arent scared to troll the feds.

To me BitCoin seems to be at least O(n2) system (every transaction is distributed to every member).
Is your system better or inherently the same in this regard?

All systems using a block chain have this as its basic feature. Solidcoin development assumes the need for super nodes rather than thinking every user will want to host the  entire block chain. Anyway, transaction pruning is a possiblity the same as bitcoin where you dont need to have all the old tx.
