So... How is going? Any news/updates?

Hi 9zero9, we are in the process of building strategic corporate relationships for SonoCoin to launch real world use-cases for our technology.

We have yet to receive the no-action letter on behalf of FINMA before allowing to begin the initial coin offering. During this time, our team is working day and night on raising money privately from institutional players.

News and updates of our progress will be communicated once we receive concrete commitments.

Cheers!

Do you know the fact that someone already uses 'SONO' as their project name a few months ago and still running until now?
what will you do if your users misinterpreted it as your project? it is already running right now? because the images said it is under development.

Maybe it was our project?

I asked a hooker if she accepted bitcoin. She told me no because it goes up and down more than she does.

How many miners does it take to change a light bulb?
A million - one to do it and the rest to verify he did it.

What’s the difference between Mt Gox and marriage?
There’s still hope of recovering some of your coins after Gox

Why are the Chinese dumping their Bitcoins this week?
Because they were Wong about Wright.

Boy asked his bitcoin-investing dad for 1 bitcoin for his birthday.
Dad: What? $8,554??? $8,854 is a lot of money! What do you need $8,682 for anyway?

Will bitcoin survive? Here's your answer.
by
SonoCoin
on 14/02/2018, 10:04:01 UTC
In the words of the American economist Abba Lerner, from his essay in the 1947 edition of the American Economic Review

“The modern state can make anything it chooses generally acceptable as money . . .It is true that a simple declaration that such and such is money will not do, even if backed by the most convincing constitutional evidence of the state’s absolute sovereignty. But if the state is willing to accept the proposed money in payment of taxes and other obligations to itself the trick is done.”

Tether is only $2b of the $420b market, right?

There isn't really 420bn in the market... that's just on paper. My guess is there is 25% of that, and tether volume produces a lot of the liquidity.

I think it will, but that is because they are essentially a huge portion of the true amount of money in crypto. Not looking forward to what would happen if comes back negative, I think it could be catastrophic to crypto, even worse than an exchange hack (yes I just said that).

Do you have any idea when the proceedings will take place?

As you all know, the U.S regulators have recently subpoenaed Bitfinex and Tether.

If the outcome is negative, will this impact the market or has it been priced in?

Re: How long before Decentralized Exchanges become mainstream?
by
SonoCoin
on 13/02/2018, 17:49:30 UTC
Decentralised exchanges will rise at the same time as centralised exchanges run by competent and regulated operators. It's getting there on both fronts but not quite yet.

For better or worse most will flock to the places that hold their hands. At the same time they'll drive out the people who are either dodgy or simply wish to remain close to crypto's original intentions.

In that case they'll be widely used but never fully mainstream. I think they'll be the decentralised Linux to the centralised Windows.

The problem with that analogy is that Linux is widely used in the business sector. The whole of Google's search engine, processing billions of searches per minute, is done on a Linux based platform. IIRC they chose Linux at teh start because it reduced the licence fees they had to pay. Lots of govt orgs use Linux for teh same reason. It's only retail users that are predominatly Windows.

Well then in that case DEX's could be adopted for the same reason. People would want to move away from the uncertainty of regulation and security flaws.

I like your analogy of Linux and Windows and the current state of exchanges. I must admit - I hope DEX's continue to innovate by finding ways to compete with large exchanges. It would be beneficial to the growth and well being of cryptocurrencies.
