Re: Interesting fact: When Bitcoin reaches $100 000...

...total Cryptocurrency market capitalization will be at least $2 Trillion.
Many analysts and traders suggest that $100 000 is not a question of IF, it's a question of WHEN.

This means the cryptocurrency market will join the Trillion Dollar club and that is not a small thing.

Stock Market cap: $78 Trillion
Bond market cap: over $100 trillion
Real Estate market cap: $33.3 trillion
Commodities Market cap: $20 trillion
Forex Market cap: $5.1 trillion

This will very likely propel Cryptocurrency to wider adoption.
World will get another Trading Asset along with Stocks, Bonds, Real Estate, Forex, Commodities and such.

4.Probably 3/4 of all bitcoin users HODL their BTC.If there's a big price pump, they will simply start selling their BTC,thus the price will go down.

Wasn’t that even more true when BTC did worth $1,000? But it reached $10,000 anyway….
I think users that HODL are very likely to buy more BTC in near future, and newcomers potential is higher due to larger mainstream  awareness.

Re: Is the 21M BTC supply promise realistic?
by

Everyday people lose access to their wallets, send Bitcoins to wrong addresses. It results in Bitcoins being lost forever. In the meantime, there is no way to prevent it.

So, let’s suppose that Bitcoin would exist forever. It means that at some point there won’t be any coin left in the network…

I know there are other implications/discussions about Bitcoin supply. But I’d like to limit this topic to this concern (Bitcoins lost).

Is  the 21M BTC supply promise realistic?

Even if more persons should misplace their private keys, send their bitcoin to wrong addresses or even pass on without reveling their keys to their loved ones, Bitcoin as far as I aam concerned will continue to exist even if only 1 BTC is left in the world. I based my opinion on the fact that Bitcoin comes with 8 decimals. So if only 1 bitcoin is left in the entire world, it will still be enough to be used for p2p transactions and as a store of value .

When there is 1 BTC left, next step is 0.1BTC left, and then 0.01BTC left... But yes, Sun will stop shinning at some point.

Re: Poker talk - Specifically Hold'em - Hands and or strategy

Hi Guys,

I used to play on pokerstars 6 years ago. I haven't played online poker since, on rare occasions I played in live casinos. I like to play cash games (NL Holdem $0.25/$0.50, I was a break even player).
Regarding these reviews https://bet1coin.com/bitcoin-poker/, Betonline seems to be a good site for me.

In your opinion, what the best site to
Play CG (small/mid stakes with average/bad players Smiley )
Deposit and withdraw using BTC (or ETH)

Do you have general strategic advice to give me?
I used to play tight and value oriented. Is it still a profitable style?

Re: Crypto Investment

Crypto investment and other investment is not the same. Crypto investment is in more than one way, either you are hodling or you are trading it.

Most crypto enthusiasts forget that you can do exactly the same in a lot of markets. Buy valuable enterprise shares and they are very likely to be worth more in a couple years.

To respond to OP his approach makes sense. Trackers used to beat traders, I’d see why it would be different with cryptos.

Re: Buying real estate with Bitcoin

This makes wonder whenever it's possible to buy real estate with Bitcoin?
This topic has been brought up before, as I remember seeing at least one other thread asking this same question--and I do find it an interesting one.  I do recall seeing someone selling their house on bitcointalk a few years ago.  The OP provided pictures and all, though I can't remember which country it was in.  And in another thread someone mentioned a huge real estate sale that happened with bitcoin being the payment method.

But those cases are isolated and rare to the best of my knowledge.  I don't think there are any real estate agents or mortgage brokers who deal with bitcoin routinely, nor do I think there's a huge demand for that service.  People barely spend bitcoin on little things, and the number of people with enough bitcoin to purchase a house or land is probably very small.

And besides, I see bitcoin as an investment more so than a currency.  Buying a house with bitcoin would be like buying one with gold or stocks.  It just doesn't make much sense--that's what fiat is for.

Yes, a lot of people believe that bitcoin is an investment.

I don't forget that bitcoin is meant to be a currency.

Re: Bitcoin is the future ??

.....So hold your bitcoin for your future.

Actually I have a totally different strategy. I try to buy and use bitcoins continuously because I think it is the best way to accumulate it and keep this currency growing.

Basically I invest a significant part of my incomes in bitcoins. When I can use fiat currency and bitcoin I choose bitcoin.

To me it is the best way to accumulate bitcoins (those that I don't speed). I don't expose myself too much buying a lot of bitcoin at a given price. obviously it's a basic strategy, I'm not a professional investor.

What's do you think about it?

And yes, I think BTC is the future, that's the crypto I feel confortable investing and using.

Re: Let's make mining sustainable
by
SophieMil996

1. mining is already becoming more sustainable. the hashrate/watt is getting more efficient all the time. imagine hashing 100exahash using GPU and you will see that if we didnt develop ASICS the electric use would be much much much much(not exaggerating) higher
take for instance 9GPU rig vs a antminer s9 . (same electric use)
900mhash(gpu) vs 14thash
yep ASIC is 15,555x more efficient than GPU

2. bushfires are not caused by mining... if it was then china and georgia would be on fire. not the amazon/australia.
the reason the amazon and australia burn is due to the lack of water. carbon is a lung health issue because the 'greenhousegas' actually shows the upper atmosphere is cooling. yep its cooling. heat rises and more is getting released into the atmosphere rather than being reflected back in.. because the greenhouse affect is not reflecting much back.... at ground level the reason why not as much heat is getting evaporated into the air is lack of water. yep the water cycle has more problems than carbon.

3. snow at christmas... i think you have been watching too much cocacola adverts and fairy tale books making people think they remember snow at christmas every year.. truth is snow is more of a february period.
in england we have historical data that in the last 60 years we only had 9 times of a white christmas but many more of a white february. even things like the london 'frost fair' in the 1800's was in february.
what you find out is things like the cartoon 'the snowman' (nothing to do with christmas the author says) is featured on tv at christmas. even things like the movies 'frozen' 1&2.(again nothing to do with christmas) are released around the november/december period.
did you know most christmas movies are not filmed at christmas. but filmed using fake snow and people celebrating christ while outside the studio its summer. yep snow on TV is usually fake snow.. paper mache

...
summary. dont take media's opinion on how things are. actually do the math find the stats and actually really think about whats being presented to you

Well if anyone sticks on these “it is better than it was” / “others do worst” kind of arguments we are in bad shape.
As a mother, I use bitcoin because I think it will bring a better world to my children.
At the same time, as an engineer, my opinion is that it will be an epic failure if such hashpower can’t do more than just secure bitcoin blockchain.
