That article is referring to collecting back taxes, a civil matter. I was referring to the criminal prosecution for tax fraud.

Accoding to the indictment he did file a 2016 1040NR where did not report the income the got by expatriating bitcoins sent from MemoryDealers and Agilestar to himself. That did not happen outside of the statute of limitations, regardless of whether clocks were stopped or not.

How to change password if I have forgotten it?

What is a safe way to reset my current password if I have forgotten it? I am still able to get in from an old computer where I had stored my password in the browser. I seem to recall that trying to reset via email may cause problems and could in fact lock me out.

BTW  Jet Cash case got me thinking about possible incidents with customs during border crossing. What if they   turn their attention to  to my Ledger wallet and require me to enter my PIN to check the fund I'm possessing. What the  best reaction should be in  this case? Would it better yet if  I never  take it with me on business trips abroad?

I don't think that's possible to do legally. They also don't check how much money you have in your online banking application, right?
What I mean is that they look for how much cash you carry. You can have as much as you want in bank.
And for Bitcoin, that has to be converted into a country's currency to count as funds.

However, let's say you are right and they care about your bitcoins. Do they know what a hardware wallet is? Highly unlikely. But let's say they know. You can enter wrong pin 3 times ("stress because of police") and you recover some other time from the seed. They cannot know if you have 1$ there or billions.
It is best to just take the time to memorize the seed words of your actual wallet. It's not really that difficult. If you can't do that, there are other methods you could use to hide the words in plain sight - for instance you could scatter them within the text of an email or online document in a way that only you know how to retrieve. This way you could reset the wallet each time you need to go through customs. In many countries immigration and customs agents have the authority to search electronic devices. If they ever demanded to see the contents you can then show them a wallet with 0 BTC.

Homemade tin foil shroud with 2 x 250 CFM extractors from Home Depot (piped out a basement side window). Just enough to extract heat from 2 x S7s and 2 x Neptune cubes exhausting upwards.

Inserting setup don't know that I have seen to close to this before on neptunes.  Do you have more pictures of the foil shroud? I would love to see a little more of it.

Thank you for sharing!

Not at the moment. But it is really very simple. I just placed and secured the 2 exhaust fans over the top wire shelf and built the shroud around the fans. There is a window behind the shelves which I boarded up, painted nicely on the outside, into which I installed 2 vents which are ducted to the fans.

Does anybody "play the lottery" still with 1 or 2 GPUs?   I keep one going just for the lols.
I've got an HD7770 tucked away in a host that is also running a database server. No point shutting it down since the marginal cost of the electricity is $0.

I think you may have miss read that fact this setup is 30 miles away from my house. Without a connection via VPN tunnel from my house to the location of the miners, I would have no access what so ever, other than using Team Viewer through the laptop. Team Viewer on the laptop is backup access, also there are a select few commands that cant be done via tenet or SSH and you need console access.

You put a Team Viewer enabled PC in an otherwise secure setup? Seems like the back door is not as strong as the front door.

Could save some electricity charge if the power supply fancy LED lights are kept off.

All those LED lights spend less than a 1% of electricity involved, in fact real number is probably even < 0.1%. Next to nothing would be gained by turning them off.

I prefer LED turned off as each LED is about 1 watt and the total farm would take 20-30 watts which is still a burden when it come to ROI...
1 watt LEDs are what goes into flashlights, the really bright ones. Those colored LEDs are under 100mW.

Just finished the Antminer Hood H1.   Cheesy

Running a couple Habaneros at 1.4TH/s combined down below as well.

Are Antminer fans pulling air? If not where is all the hot air going?
Looks like there is an exhaust duct on top of the hood, probably with a high enough CFM fan to match the combined hot air output of the S3 fans.

New DOGE Station, almost complete, I need the extra two connectors to move the last blade onto the PSU...

Is that a Jupiter that is shut down over on the left? Why are you no longer mining BTC?

My very simple and easy to made mining rig. I just wanted to be simple as possible and low cost to made. On this image there is no PSU but they are just behind GPU's.

What's up with all the molex connectors?

It doesn't need to be pretty...fairly efficient with cold room temps. Anyone know how much power the stock AMD fans draw when you wind them up to 5K rpm?

If you don't look too closely at the hardware, you'd think it was early 2011 all over again.

Wasn't ebay/paypal kinda against bitcoin miners? Pretty sure I read that somewhere...

yes they are, if you buy some minning staff on ebay, paypal may block your account
Just list the minning staff on eBay as box of funs and PayPal will be OK with that.

Not much to look at, but pulls a steady 450Ghs overclocked. Within the sea of fans is a bitfury m-board with 12 h-cards plugged in. Disclamer: the images contain a shameless attempt of marketing somewhat unrelated goods.

Behind the rig is an open window, the ups cardboard is in place to prevent direct rainfall on the rig should winds blow in the exactly right direction at massive force.
How come some H-cards appear to have custom heat sinks and some don't?

Finally got it all set up nice and pretty. Currently pulling 16A @ 240V

showoff..  Shocked

Looks nice. Grin

20K cost if you bought in at old prices???  When did you have your units delivered (I'm envy to see if you made ROI unlike me  Grin)

If they were FPGA trade-ins break-even ROI in USD might have been reached long before they were delivered.
