Probably, but that does not explain the erratic decisions of the team.
Finding out that perhaps people made bogus accounts to claim some ATS is no reason to run into disaster like this. Who decided in this mess at Authorship?
Why wasn't the fraud being culled/canceled/looked at along the way? Instead of being sprung on all the users suddenly as an excuse of sorts.
I understand the confusion as I've read all of the following today:
1. Cancelling bounty program/Ceasing Payouts + Book Coupon
2. All accounts that earned over 1000ats will be paid
3. No need to file withdrawal form
4. Everyone is getting paid again + 3IP rule

Re: [ANN][ICO] Authorship - Making the Internet More Free and Accessible For Authors
yes, and we are still waiting for a APOLOGY for all that bullshit. and I'd like to hear a statement from your boss, the CEO on that matter.
They have nothing to apologize for, they are still sending tokens to the impatient, greedy people that still complain and spam this this thread with scam accusations
You must of missed this morning then? They wanted to pull the rug out from everyone that participated in the bounty program.
The only reason it's being paid now is the terrible publicity.
That's not quite a honorable beginning. It was worrying to say the least. I still haven't received my tokens - don't know if I will.

Re: [ANN][ICO] Authorship - Making the Internet More Free and Accessible For Authors
If we get our bounty tokens or not (nothing so far)...
in any case today was a MASSIVE PR disaster.
Authorship team knows - and has deleted that embarrassing rant that was posted earlier today on their website (and sent to their users via email). Damage is done, though. The text has been screenshotted and quoted all over the web.
And even now, several hours later: no clear statement, no official update on the website, no retraction on the fishy claims that were made in that announcement that was supposed to cheat the vast majority of bounty promoters out of their tokens in exchange for some - very hypothetical - books.
Just some panicked backpedaling since the backlash was louder and more determined than expected.
Authorship - you better do something about your credibility.
People including myself invested money in your platform.
What you have shown today in terms of communication skills, disaster management and (non-existent) contingency plans, etc. - does not make you look like a professional company that will be able to make a platform with many thousands of authors and even MORE transactions and fraud attempts work and profitable.
Investors - even those just speculating on a quick profit on the tokens, not long-term revenue - will not be amused.
Haven't received mine yet either.

Re: [ANN][ICO] Authorship - Making the Internet More Free and Accessible For Authors
maybe the whole mess in this thread leads to false (double) transactions now it seems to be really chaotic let's wait for peters answer for this
man thats not good.. I've seen a few of these now, someone got 19k twice.. Thats alot of money.
We tried to explain this is happening, everyone called us scammer and didn't believe us. The transaction was sent just ONCE. This is what happens when mass transactions are being sent, nothing we can do about. We'll pay everyone who qualifies to make everyone happy (about 90% of the payments were already sent). Not sure how sending more tokens to cheaters will help the value of the tokens for honest promoters, since they will only do one thing: dump them, but, we do what you want us to do. Hopefully by tomorrow all the payments will be processed and we can close this chapter.
Regards, Peter
yeah, this thread has been a mess of people shouting 'scammer' over 75 ATS lol, i'll just pick up a load of cheap ones on the exchanges I guess! Im holding for long term.
Not that simple. Earlier today everyone was told they wouldn't receive the tokens they earned. Which was pretty lousy.
Enough bad publicity caused them to start paying again.
This was bungled beyond belief.

Re: [ANN][ICO] Authorship - Making the Internet More Free and Accessible For Authors
Are you sure you are ready for this type of 'investments'?
Not everyone is a long term holder.. or needs to be. Some just want to cash out from the bounties they earned. Nothing wrong with that.
I mean: if the token and the market is not understood (and a simple 'Google search' is out of the question), why step into this arena?
It's not the consumers fault for clicking a advertisement promising $10. Authorship could of done this alot differently if they were concerned with the type of customer base.
Besides this is a good low cost entry point to get a grasp and learn about crypto in general.

hey peter does the issue affects the value of ATS ? I think it will affect much that it will pose serious problem in the opening of your campaign
Authorships reputation was damaged today, some people are receiving double payment so who knows. It's a mess.
YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING, RIGHT?
Did you miss this morning when authorship decided to suspend the bounty payouts? It was a big deal.
They are in the process of correcting their mistake now because of the bad publicity.

Snodo, it's a misunderstanding. The poster who pointed out the number of accounts and transactions was incorrect. But there has been atleast a few users who have gotten their bounty paid twice (large amounts too)
