Re: Do you think the use of Bitcoin is kind of complicate?

Its really not that difficult at all. In fact it is quite simple to use even for the tech unsavvy. Using a wallet like blockchain.info is just like paypal imo. Wallets will get even easier and safer to use as time goes on too.

Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for?

Bitcoin is purely speculative for me currently. I plan on holding it for a while until it gains some mainstream traction but then I'd like to be able to spend it on anything I would normally buy with fiat.

I use it for online shopping. For me bitcoin has become as boring as money.

Bought 40 of these last night. Not very interesting.  Cheesy

Re: How to calculate a valuble invest cost?

What do you mean by valuable invest cost? Elaborate please.

example, You bought a bitcoin for$ 250 . How much You want to sell it

This still doesn't make much sense to me. Not sure if troll with that username. If you're going to invest in bitcoin you can sell at any time you want. Sell as soon as you're in profit or keep it as a long term investment. That's what I'd do.

I'd advise to use an escrow or you'll likely get scammed if you just send first. YOu should also put what you're selling in the title. It looks like you're selling your forum acccount on first glance.

I thought it was set up november last year? Think im wrong. Will there be some sort of discount coupon before opening?

Discount coupon? There's no fees so thats discount enough. Any discount would have to come from the sellers so I cant see most of them allowing that.

Re: [2015-07-05] What Good is Bitcoin if People Don't Accept It?
by
Southampton
on 06/07/2015, 12:13:15 UTC
Sometimes it helps to force the use of it onto someone...

I had a small debt, only $150 that I needed to repay to a friend. Had $200 worth of bitcoins in my wallet so told him I can repay him BUT I could only do so in bitcoin. After arguing a bit he opened a Coinbase account and received his money from me in bitcoin.

He was impressed with how quickly the funds arrived and from what he said afterwards it's clear that this will not be the last time he will be using it.

I think there are many misperceptions about bitcoin still doing the rounds leading to people not wanting to use and or accept it but times are changing.

Forcing someone to do something isn't a nice or good way. It's too pushy. I'm sure bitcoin wasn't the only way you could have repaid him either. I would be quite annoyed if someone owed me money and tried tp get me to accept some other obscure currency I didn't want.

Bitcoin to me is a currency first and foremost, and a digital one at that so I'd like to be able to use it to buy anything online. I can't see why all webstores wont accept it in the future as it doesn't cost them anything to adopt.

I think they'll still collect this stuff just in secret. Are they really going to shut the entire program down? I just can't see it.

everything is being recorded =)

Just imagine what will happen if some hacker is able to access this gigantic database of phone-calls, videos and chats. Or it can be even a rogue employee of the FBI, who want to sell this data to third parties for a profit. Can you imagine the consequences? The lives of a lot of people will be ruined. We will be seeing a large spike in murders and suicides.

There's already been FBI agents sharing nude photos I believe. Look what the agents did in the silk road fiasco too stealing millions in bitcoins. They can't be trusted.

Re: Welcome to Bitcoin's Boring Era

I think bitcoin has hit a bit of a boring slump. I think there's just no excitement or interest from the media currently. I'm sure it'll pick up again eventually but I think we need some good news to get bitcoin back buzzing in the media again. All we've had recently was the SR trail and that's not exactly great publicity.

It's the worlds first digital decentralized currency and I think it's a genius idea. I hope it becomes the first widely accepted worldwide currency too.

I think these wars are more about ego than anything else.

Of course. They always are, but when people have money staked on something it just magnifies their sensitivity and butthurtness tenfold.

this guy is a scam or no tho?

Read his feedback and make your own mind up. He will probably do what he says but how much can it possible be worth to make one vote on a poll or click on a ref links. Clicking on ref links are worthless unless they actually gamble some money or something most of the time.

This guy is awesome (in the negative way). He knows of to bring fishes into an investment for coins that are not worth the time.

Keiser is just an elaborate troll but knows what he's doing and how to stoke up a fuss and fan the flames for his own benefit. The fact that we're talking about him now is only giving him publicity and that's what he wants. The best way to deal with a troll is to ignore them but people can't resist.

How much longer till a smart, but not especially techy person can do whatever it is they have to do to buy something here? I'd love to get some honey or socks or whatever, just to try it out.

I have a pc with windows. I'm not looking for drugs or anything illegal and I won't be too mad if I lose a little money in a glitch. Are there actual vendors selling stuff? Is there a tutorial about how to get started? Sorry if I'm being impatient.

I'd probably commit to buying something once a month, if I could.

Well it's not even open yet so you might be waiting a while. From what I gather they don't seem to be too complicated nor do you need to be an expert so if you can use bitcoin safely you can probably use this.

I don't know what it is about selfies that enrages me but it does. What's worse is those selfie sticks I've seen people using. Wtf is wrong with them? Who actually carries a stick around with them just to take pictures. It's nuts.

Re: Paid per post

Hello,

I heard and read that it's possible to make bitcoins from writing and replying to posts on this forum.
Is it true?

So far I wrote few posts, but I can not see my earnings...

Lol. That's funny how you thought the forum paid you but I can see how you might think they did by what you heard. Firstly you really need to be a higher rank to earn a decent amount but secondly it seems many people get banned for getting paid per post so I'd be careful and not spam or you'll lose your account.

Why do people see "doomed to failed, because it's not already big", while I see "Has tremendous growth potential, because it's not already big nor the defacto world currency".

Because they're either trolls or ignorant, usually both. Obviously we can see the potential in bitcoin and the opportunity for both growth and profit so we see it as a worthwhile investment, but others don't. Some people thought it was a get rich quick scheme and it didn't work out for them or they lost a lot of money and now they're pissed so they become aggressive and cynical.

Electrum for my main bitcoins saving stash and blockchain.info webwallet and app for quick access to a small amount I use frequently. I keep my savings offline though.
