Good to see that Bitcoin has managed to cross this obstacle, it's a great sign for the future if governments and other entities start throwing it under the bus. The team behind 2x was very irresponsible throughout the entire thing.. Even canceling it just a few days before it actually happened was shady as heck.

Now we wait and hope we get some scaling solutions in the very near future, with consensus.

People have caught on to the whole ICO craze and most of them now launch their tokens and the price plummets instantly, making it much more attractive to just wait and buy the coins cheaply on etherdelta or any other exchange..

Just claim it and sell it right away, this way you'll get some money for your efforts and you get rid of Bitcoin Gold, a pure scam coin. I really don't see the price of this shitcoin increasing much over time, it's useless with no real use.

MyEtherWaller (or MEW) is probably the best ERC20 wallet (aside from hardware wallets). Most people use it and recommend me, myself included. Just remember to back up your private key in a VERY safe place, and don't leave it on your pc or any cloud based service.

Eth markets (like EtherDelta and other future eth-only exchanges) have one advantage over bitcoin: cheaper and faster transaction fees, meaning you can deposit and withdraw your coins much faster, in case you see a trade you want to make you still have time to deposit and do it, whereas with bitcoin it would take too long.

I think bitcoin will keep leading the market atleast until crypto is accessible enough for the masses to start using it. Not necessarily Bitcoin as it is today, since Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin 2x might catch up eventually, but definitely one of form on bitcoin will be #1 for the next couple years.
