Re: Mathematician: Is Our Universe a Simulation?

Well, once you get to a certain point in the game, near the end, you find out that you're not real and are in fact a simulation on a massive computer. Hence the relevance. This part of the wiki explains it a little bit:

Quote
Reaching the Time Gate, the party enters "4D space," a dimension higher than their own. According to the 4D beings, their universe is actually not real in relation to 4D space; rather, it is a computer simulation developed by Luther Lansfeld, the owner of the Sphere Company. Dubbed the "Eternal Sphere", it is similar to a real-world massively multiplayer online game for the inhabitants of 4D space.

Anyway, I guess I should have elaborated more, but wanted to see if anyone else would get the reference. It's explained a lot more in some detail in the game and it's really well worth a play as the story is up there with the FF series.

ok, a quick tip for anyone else that wants to copy data to the watch.... do NOT use a USB hub, plug the phone directly into your mobo usb ports. I've been trying to copy the latest update to the watch for a while but it kept stalling for no reason. Tried adb push, same issue! Then, finally tried plugging directly into the computer and bingo, worked first time!

May just be the hubs I have, but they are d-link ones so are fairly decent.

Most usb hubs to not provide enough power so its always safe to connect directly to computer, same goes for charging the watch.

It is a powered hub with 1A ports, but yes, good tip for general hubs.

Anyway, I have a bug report for you to pass on. Latest v3 firmware:

The Weather App, Selecting United Kingdom, then Brighton & Hove (my nearest city) as the location will cause the weather app to go into a crash loop. Only a reset to factory defaults will cure it. I assume it is because of the '&' in the description. If they can change the city name to just Brighton then I'm sure it'll be fine.

For now I have London selected as my nearest city and it's working ok.

I have a like new 310 xt in perfect working condition with box and everything that came in the box when I first purchased it.

It's a long shot, but there must be some runners amongst everyone here  Wink

Currently I use endomondo on my nexus 4, but having just upgraded to a note 3, it's a little too big to strap to my arm! So I'm looking at getting a Garmin Forerunner. Second hand is fine and would prefer a higher spec one than the basics.

I'm in the UK, so a UK version (not sure if they're regional) would be preferred.

The older 310XT is quite popular in our running club so that'd be ideal.

Cheers,
Spacey

Snap. I'm in the UK so to any UK purchasers, I'll let you know how long the delivery took.

Two words...

Password Manager

Personally I use lastpass.com and have used roboform in the past but there are many more out there. You just need to remember one very secure master password then the rest you let the PW Manager handle it for you.

I have no idea what my password is for just-dice, or this forum without looking at my password vault! None are the same, all unique, and all very long with letters, numbers and symbols in them.
