We're not doing an ICO, we are offering masternode and staking packages of BASE in the presale phase before we get on exchanges (here www.sparkbase.io/pre-sale).

Although the reputation of ICOs has been tarnished by scammers in the last two years, it's still a good fundraising tool.
For our purposes it's not necessary as we do not need millions of dollars to realize our project. The goal is transparency.

The BASE network has 38 active masternodes right now of which some are corporate owned to keep the ROI where we want it, high and stable.

Since v1nkccbcf's question we've opened a discord channel (https://discord.gg/4Vvvbbg) as well as a telegram (https://t.me/sparkbase). Have not promoted it yet. Main worry against it was having to moderate several channels instead of spending energy on use case development.

Long-term focus is on reaching exponential growth in registered end users. We want to give back to early supporters that help the SparkBase network, so it's a win-win, but we're not interested in pump & dump groups that aren't actually loyal followers. We're discussing the possibility of a bounty program, but it ought to be done right or not at all. We dislike spam.

Reaching out to media outlets, placing ads & using our connections to get to investors and advisors as well as attending crypto events in person in the meantime.

I've been on Twitter for a while (https://twitter.com/5000BASE) and know some of the bigger accounts in the space personally. It has a vibrant crypto community. Users may tweet at us or send us a DM if they need help.

There is no such cryptocurrency trading tool platform as our vision of SparkBase available today. It's a unique project. We'll soon update the use case key features on sparkbase.io, which will clarify.

We already have more power than Bitcoin thanks to the aforementioned block size of 2.0 mb and, in addition to our powerful masternode infrastructure, have also already implemented an Instant Send function. Thus we are on the safe side for the next 2 years. We're not reinventing the wheel concerning the coin (we very much do aim to reinvent the use case that we're focused on) and we are combining the most successful concepts for decentralization, speed and stability, even with large transaction volumes.

We're a small team of five with backgrounds in sales, finance, marketing & stock trading situated in Crypto Valley, Switzerland. In the last two years the world of cryptocurrency has been of major interest to us: following developments in general, learning about the blockchain as well as trading. Our constant chats on the matter and the question wether to hodl or not to hodl have led to this project.

While Switzerland has allowed for a favorable ecosystem for blockchain tech firms, the current environment is uncertain due to the regulation process. We're careful with how much personal info we publish in this first stage on council of our legal adviser. Another factor is of course that employers tend to get uncomfortable seeing experienced staff working on autonomous projects. This will not be a faceless project for long and we intend to hire more talent as we go.



The 'operational phase'/launch is due this time next year, Q4 2019 (see Roadmap). By then we should have created a sustainable use case platform, which delivers its business value to registered users and is affordably accessed by BASE-coin. The business value lies in the AI dashboard with useful, real-time data including our own type of greed & fear index, market sentiment based on perhaps social media channels first, then public news channels with NLP output.

I myself envision part of it being e.g. a world map with a % indicating the confidence level on e.g. ETH in Europe and in Asia, which by itself could prove a valuable buy or sell signal/indicator as opposed to simply speculating or going by what a crypto influencer on twitter said. Then there's a plan for incorporating statistical analysis and python-based algorithms, which we will specify in coming updates.



Indeed, we're not a conventional ICO. There's no finished product yet, but I wouldn't say it's just an idea. We're in the process of realizing our vision, granted step by step.

We're agile developers meaning we work with weekly sprints on fulfilling a long list of user stories (functions, milestones) in our backlog.
Said backlog is growing in size as we continue to brainstorm, gather feedback and inputs. The approach allows for regular progress and
functional usability for our users as we release each version of the platform.

Hence, scaling up an ambitious project as decentralized network.

Current theoretical maximum for BASE coin transaction speed per second is at 173 TPS.

We're building on the basis of the DASH framework. QUARK algorithm & Proof of Stake.

The BASE-coin compatibility with Trezor hardware & other hardware wallets is in our development backlog. Currently we're focusing on scaling up the network.
