Do you have the 2.0.0.4 wallet or the 2.0.0.5, or are you on the blockchain from 2014 still?

This tutorial will cover the coin feature of the Pinkcoin windows wallet and will show you how to properly start staking.

Windows and Mac wallets can be downloaded from the official website while Linux version can be download from github.
Extract the wallet on your desktop using Winrar and Right click > Run As Administrator. (There's no need of any installation or anything). Wait for it to sync. Usually it takes 5-10 minutes to sync.

After it successfully synced, go to Settings > Encrypt Wallet type the passphrase you want and hit OK. After you hit OK wait for some time and the wallet will close itself, make sure you re-open it. **NOTE** Make sure you remember your passphrase because if you forgot you will lose all your coins! **

To be able to start staking you need to unlock your wallet. If you hover the mouse over the arrow at the bottom right corner of the wallet you will see "Not staking because wallet is locked".

To unlock your wallet please go to Settings > Unlock your wallet and then type your passphrase that you set it earlier and make sure "For staking only" is checked.

After we successfully unlocked our wallet and tick the option "For staking only" we need to make sure that our coins are mature. Now the question is how do I know if my coins are mature and when they will mature?

If you have your coins stored on one of the exchanging websites such as Bittrex, Poloniex, Cryptopia or NovaExchange and you are sending to your desktop wallet if you hover the mouse over the gray arrow in the bottom right corner of the wallet you will see that says that you don't have mature coins. For coins to mature you need 101 confirmations or 8 hours before they can be used for staking.
 
Mined coins come in blocks of 50 coins. But when you buy them and send them to your wallet, they come in one big block of coins.When you stake, the whole block stakes. That's true if it's 50 coins or 500,000 coins. But if you have 500,000 broken up into 50 coin blocks, then when you stake, you don't lose all the weight you generated from your 500,000 coins, you only lose the weight from the coins you needed in order to generate the stake. But if your 500,000 coins are all in one big block, then when you stake, you'll lose all the weight you generated for that 500,000 coins, and they wont stake again until you build up that weight again. To prevent ourselves from losing all the weight that we built from staking we need to enable the coin features which will help us sort the issue and we will send the coins to ourselves into blocks of 1000's.
In the example I will show you with 4200 coins and how to split them into 4 blocks of 1000.
 
Click Settings > Options > Display > "Display coin control features (experts only!)" make sure this one is selected and hit OK.

After we enabled the coin feature, we need to go back to the Receive coins tab and copy our own address. After that we need to go the Send Coins tab and click on Inputs. In inputs you will see a bunch of columns. In this case as you can see we have 4200 coins and we want to split them into 4 stacks of 1000. So basically we need to select them and hit OK.

Now it will navigate us to the previous tab, the one that we came from. We need to have ticked SplitBlock and we will type 4 which means we split the 4200 coins into 4 blocks of 1000, (don't worry the rest 200 coins will find their own block). In the Pay To we paste our own address that we copied from earlier from Receive coins tab, and on the right side where it says After fee: we need to right click and hit Copy after fee and paste down below in the Amount. Basically we are sending the coins to ourselves.

If you followed the whole tutorial everything should work fine. But how do I check that?
In the bottom right corner of your wallet you will see the arrow changed it's color from grey (before we started staking) into green (after we started staking). And with that being said we finally started staking.

Dear Pinkcoin Warriors,

Dcmartin, reading your posts is like a breath of fresh air, thank you for your brain. This is a great idea, I'm not a marketing student but what the hell it's never too late to start something new lol. I know Wordpress has been accepting Bitcoin for a while now for websites and blogs, I wonder if they would be willing to accept a badass altcoin like Pinkcoin too. I'll try shooting them an e-mail and see what they say.

They must have froze it temporarily to change the Ticker Symbol from PC to PINK. It's taken them over 6 months to do that lol. They must have brought it back online tho cuz PINK is rocking hard on Poloniex just fine as of 5 minutes ago. All I had to do was generate a new wallet, I didn't have any coins on Poloniex when they changed the Ticker tho. Not sure if that would have mattered or not.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get my Windows pinkcoin wallet.dat file restored onto a new Pinkcoin Wallet using Mac OS?

Does anybody else play backgammon? I just got  turned onto it a few days ago, but I know it's a popular game. That'd be neat though to have an arcade with a bunch of random games. Then have people pay $pink to play them and payout a prize to the top scores every month or something. "charityarcade.pink" or a website we can trade our awesome stuff online for pinkcoin with, like ebay; would spur some commerce.

Will allow people to exchange other altcoins and BTC into Pinkcoin. This will be done automatically, and your Pinkcoin will be directly deposited into your online wallet.

Will allow vendors that currently accept Paypal, to also accept Pinkcoin without actually being paid in Pinkcoin. Vendors will receive Fiat for purchases made with Pinkcoin via Paypal.

These are the 3 up and coming features that we are currently building and integrating together, and into our current systems.
Upon their completion, Pinkcoin will not only be accessible by the masses, but it will be easy to get your hands on.

Has anybody had this problem? My dogecoin wallet will open onto the task bar and will allow me to open a debug window to see that it is syncing, but from the task bar the wallet will not open or display anything. Never had this issue with any other of my wallets. I saved the wallet.dat file and deleted everything else, re-downloaded the walllet but still it only appears as an icon on the task bar. Even if I just say to hell with my Wallet data and download a whole new wallet, the new wallet will not open either and will only display on the task bar. Will give hefty donation to whomever can help me resolve this problem.

Nobody buys Pinkcoin because of the Color, the color Pink just attracts females who are an untapped market in Crypto-Currency. People buy Pinkcoin because it is a Charity/Donation Oriented Platform like Dogecoin, and because Pinkcoin has a Cult-Like Following. Dogecoin is now a $30 million market cap coin on an account of their Cult-Like Following. It has very little to do with any innovations at all and especially nothing to do with the Color. 'Pink' is an already overused marketing ploy that is whitewash to new investors in Crypto Markets. Doge works because it is still new and fresh, Pinke would be better than Pink. If anything naming Pinkcoin 'Pink' would draw even more attention to a "Color Stigma". Regardless, to exclude honest voters because we are on Twitter exposing the World to Pinkcoin honestly befuddles me. We deserve to be counted, WE ARE A PART OF THIS COMMUNITY. Our followers, who we on Twitter encourage to invest in this new mysterious crypto currency stuff, need to hear the word 'Coin' after the word 'Pink' or they will not make a connection Between a Color shaded between Red and White and a CryptoCoin. #CHUUCH #PREACH #ALtruism #PINKCOIN

Leave it Pinkcoin!

Pink is too broad and confusing. When people hear I bought Pinkcoin today they become curious and are more encouraged to look it up and potentially invest in the idea themselves. Saying I bought Pink today. Pink? What could have been pink? anything but whatever it was I'm not really interested in the mystery pink item now I'm off to think about something else. That's a potential lost investor based off confusion.
