Can someone please explain how a masternode gets a proof-of service score of 1? The masternode is upgraded to the latest version and has been green for more than a day with score of 0 and suddenly it gets a score of 1? Has this mystery been solved?

Oh shit! This can potentially be huge!
Two of the Federal Agents that were assigned to Silk Road (Ross W. Ulbricht) case have been charged with money laundering and fraud stemming from their investigation into Silk Road. Ulbricht’s lawyer has reportedly requested a retrial, following the revelations that two of the federal investigators had engaged in criminal activities of their own.

Plot twist: What happens if the Court decides that Fed should return Ulbricht’s already confiscated and auctioned bitcoins back? Cheesy Where is Fed going to buy back 100,000 BTC? Grin

So yes there is ideology behind this coin : privacy, liberty, freedom, try to make the world less directed by "power" and more with the heart...

I hope that changing the name will not make the ideology behind it change too, otherwhise it will failed.

There's no ideology in something that nobody uses. The ideology's in the design, not the name. Vertoe is justified in leaving over not being consulted but less so over 'ideology'.

It's not a rock song that's being built here it's electronic money.

The name can easily be compromised without any loss of principle but the functionality can't. So Evan has got his priorities right in that regard.

no.

i left because i disagree darkcoin or however it will be called next year is not a decentralized entity. it never was but i ignored it as long as darkcoin was following the same path i was following. the path to total financial privacy. and thats why i am so upset about how this currency is lead by a single person. darkcoin is like an old conservative company with strong hierarchical comamnd structures and a single person on the top of the pyramid. evan duffield. the rebranding using a detergent name was just a step forward in creating something like apple or paypal. fuck this i tell you. what we need is a trustless, decentralized and anonymous currency. darkcoin is not decentralized as it still relies on a single person. and this reaches deep into the code base.

the core devs were just a bunch of volunteers exploited for the big thing. the extended darkcoin team was the same with even a lower place to sit on that pyramid. and what was the darkcoin foundation again? right, something to reserve some rights on some names and collect money. who nominated and voted for the foundation board? who does even know who are these guys? how did we learn about the foundation? from local news papers! the team listings kept counting names of people nobody ever noticed before. and they never committed anything visible to the community or the repository. and i was spending 25 hours a day monitory everything that happened in the darkcoin community for more than a year. the things going on here are fishy, intransparent and rely on a single entity.

i will get out and and will contribute to something decentralized and anonymous. i always hoped darkcoin could fill that void. i cant blame anyone to stay with this project. you are probably investors trying to win a gold donkey. or you are simply trying to exploit every possible vector of profit in the coins space. whatever. you are not here because darkcoin is something it claims to be.

if you disagree with my statement above, i dont care, but answer that simple question: what if evan duffield suddenly announces he quits the project tomorrow morning?

good luck

Verto,

You are not saying anything new in your above post. We all know that Evan created this coin and i think in the early stages of its development it is normal that he is taking the leadership role. I have no doubt that gradually the coin will become truly decentralized and eliminate the individual human or small group factor dependency.

Your comment about the Board is also not new. And no, you don't have to know the members of the Board. After all decentralization does not mean a fucking democracy. We are not building communism or socialism here. Dash is a business entity.

What I don't understand is that if you have left the project already then what is the point of coming to this thread and whining? You made your point and left and now you come back and say the same thing over and over. If you regret about selling your coins cheap then you can just admit it and I am sure the community would donate you the lost value of your investment:)  But hey, I am happy in anyway because if your FUD attempts work and some of the people who are in the bottom of the evolutionary chain decide to dump their coins then I wold be more than happy to pick those cheap coins up Tongue

I cant help but to think about Bitcoin's scalability problem. If Bitcoin wants to be adopted by the masses, it has to solve the scalability issue and for that it will most probably require a hard fork. BY scalability I am referring to bitcoin's current per second transaction limit.  I am not a technical person and would like to know have Darkcoin developers addressed this problem already so that if we grow suddenly big, we would not be facing a similar dilemma?

There was a great post here about that in the last day or so. I cc'd it to a friend. Someone else or the Author can quote it quicker that I can.

And Yes, You're Correct about BTC.

Man, then bitcoin is in deep trouble- it has to go through hardfork if it wants to grow fast and if it goes through hardfork it might not even survive Cheesy

hmm, if not bitcoin then what other open source coin is left to meet the global markets' demand for crypto technology? Obviously the answer is not the copy-cat Litecoin. I think it is not too hard to see the big picture now Wink

iCEBREAKER, you just ruined your Hero account. I am sure soon you are gonna be flooded with negative trust rating too Wink

its a good thing he can still laugh about it.. although his laugh does sound kinda stressed.
I just hope he doesnt fall apart under all this tension, he is after all our most favourite put on ignore troll
What would we do without him ?

I don't get it. He can make shit load of money by investing in Darkcoin. You don't have to be a genius to understand that there is a serious Venture capital interest in Darkcoin project. Plus, we havn't even started the major PR work after re-branding. The most optimistic price prediction per Dash would be around 40$. So i ask again, Why hate while you can profit?  Grin

look at that green lantern go .... hello 0.22 ?

So in 600 pages we need to have a discussion about Dash branding.

It really needs to be green not blue (cos cash is green).

Or it could be Gold color Wink Which we had that option by the way

How do you run a wallet with -zapwallettx in windows machine? Thanks

You can run darkcoin-qt -zapwalletx from cmd (command prompt) or right click on the proprieties of the link of darkcoin-qt and add -zapwalletx in the argument.

the command is -zapwallettxes

If i do from cmd, is it still zapwallettxes or -zapwallettx?

-You go to cmd
-You go to the folder where you have the client
- then type: darkcoin-qt -zapwallettxes
- It will run and rescan the blockchain
- You are done

Hm, i had the same problem with stuck transaction. Did exactly what Minotaour said but i got error message "darkcoin-qt is neither internal or external command..."

Any idea what i might be doing wrong?

I also got the same error.
As Minotaur26 said, i opened cmd, went to the folder %APPDATA%\Darkcoin and then typed exactly darkcoin-qt -zapwallettxes and nothing happened. Must have missed something.

When you say went to the folder... you mean from the command line right?

Yes, by typing cd %APPDATA%\Darkcoin in cmd  [which then takes to the full path with Roaming... etc
