Yes, good argument. Most governments will schrink in size over the next year. Hell, the shutdown
of the entire country last year was the reality of it crashing in. I wonder what will happen end of this month,
when they're gonna have to raise the debt cealing again. It's hard to say what's going to happen.
But, still we have to think about the next step of security, thus also improving the cryptography of btc.
From a more broadened perspective; many facets of btc will (have to) evolve over time. F.i. storing your
data on USB-sticks might not be common anymore in 5-10 years. Certainly in this time where technological
evolution is growing exponentially, expect everything to change.
The point of buying the car was to show that it can be done. Also to counter people like greenspan saying btc lacked intrensic value.

I'm sorry that I came back, but I was just too tempted to point out that buying a car doesn't prove BTC intrinsic value. The working time spent on creating the BTC core software, creating the mining hardware, creating the support services, electricity used, demand of product etc. prove that BTC has calculable intrinsic value. Buying a car only shows that BTC has value, without pointing out if the value is intrinsic or speculative. And that was already proven when first bitcoins were sold with couple of cents per coin. And it is still proven by exchanges that trade bitcoins for a certain price.
My problem was not with your car and I also like exotic pieces of machinery. I was just pointing out that maybe it isn't useful to create certain type of first-impressions. When the bitcoin market will be flooded with people who are vulnerable to these types of marketing techniques, then the outcome isn't pretty. These people are unstable and vulnerable to all kinds of simple types manipulations and bitcoin is not ready for that. Bitcoin needs more serious people who are able to be supportive to the entire evolutionary process. And these types of marketing techniques will make BTC unattractive to serious and ethical people without who BTC will not survive.
I see bitcoin as a step in monetary evolution, so it hurts me to see it treated like a standard pyramid scheme.
I'll try not to respond again, because I see that my observation aggravates people here. But I hope that you'll think about my line of thought.

There will be a new wallet in the new year, it will be mandatory update. Dont know exactly when, but you will be given plenty of notice.

That's really great. We have at least one exchange that offers SXC/BTC trading. Now the next step is getting more exchanges who offers SXC trading. And a huge step forward would be SXC/USD, SXC/EUR and SXC/CNY.

Well it hasn't been priority, but could mean a next step in crypto, esp. for the alt-coins.
BIL is the first to try something in the form of a integrated wallet chat client. Sadly it's
not really used.
I can imagine something similar for coins like SXC; integrated webcamstuff, integrated webshop.
More and more functions that are now browser-based could be transported to wallet-based functions.
I think this will be a key step for most alt-coins to ensure long-term existence. Without usability there
will be no need to use alt-coins over BTC. But if they would have their own uses... integrated in the wallet,
who knows?

I think OP is making some valid points. Usage is the next challenge. All fair and well to sit on
a pile of BTC worth alot of FIAT in your head, but it's the FIAT Bitcoin can finally rid us off.
Therefor we need to eventually start using the damn things for buying stuff, paying labour, all
the things we now use FIAT for.
Also, the point he make saturation might already have happened is also possible. Maybe the masses
will not like the system and won't use it. Then this is the BTC-economy size right now. I personally
don't think this is the case. I think it'll get much wider adoption, regarded that the learning curve for most
people is still tough. Try to get average Joe making a cold wallet.
