Hi Folks,

I do not recommend 2 use "Lüsterklemmen" (don´t know the english word)
4 excessive "Mining-Use",
better soldier it directly ~~.

Cheesy PanneKopp (just my 2 cents)

Hmm by that you mean the connectors ? (things where you attach other things ? xd )

can you tell use what is the purpose of buying accounts? you want to use account only for signature campaign or you need that to run some kind of service, tradding, buying selling etc?

Honestly speaking I suggest you do not buy accounts.. buying accounts encourage account farming and these account farmers make the forum a bad place.
Mostly for sig campaign...

Re: Server PSU for GPU power

I see a lot of server PSUs on sale for real cheap. I don't see the point in buying high end PSU anymore. All server PSU are by default 92+ efficiency and are made for 24/7 use. I found real cheap one, 800W for 20$. After a bit of modificationsi made it so it can power my GPUs.
What did I do ?
Soldered 2 pins so it stars right away when it's plugged in (there is no need for any button or anything...)
Soldered 2 wired (+ and - ) on the board and wired them outside so i can connect multiple 6-pin connectors.
How to get a lot of 6 pin connectors ? You can use 24 pin motherboard connectors from old PSUs, just cut them in peaces and connect them properly.

How all this look:

Hope someone else will do this and save a bit of money instead of buying high end PSU !

Yes, I've been doing this for many years.

You have to observe some basic rules tho. Remember to always do the math first.
Calculate loads and wire gauges carefully.

I wouldn't do that 5-way splitting, because all the current flows through that thin wire pair that is connected to the PSU 12V and GND.
You should connect them all parallel directly to the PSU, or use thicker wires to split from. Check the temps of the main wire pair with your finger while applying load to the 6 pins. I am sure its going to get hot above 300W. If the wire is so hot that it hurts then it's too thin for that load.

Always check your setup by the junction law: SUM(I in) = SUM(I out)

Also there are high current type series terminals (I mean that white connector row). The cheaper ones can only handle 5-10Amps (120W@12V)!

Good tinkering!:)

Thanks for feedback ! But all that is already taken into consideration when this was made. All wires are high quality copper wires made for big speakers and to prevent heating all connections are soldered (on bord and between 2 cables) with more than normal amount of tin. Also tested 24 hours under 690W load and two wires were just a bit warm, far from hot.

I don't know what to think of this "Ethereum Classic" beside that I don't like it. I'm kinda loyalist, and will stick to Ethereum which is backed by a world-renowned team while Ethereum Classic is made by random people on the Internet Roll Eyes... Having it more profitable than Ethereum won't last long, since a little price change kills everything...

Why is that a bad thing ? BTC was made by random guy

Thanks to all for your reply, i do appreciate your comments.
i think am not late yet as there is gonna be coins to mine even if ethereum goes POS. I believe ETC won't follow eth for POS.

GPU

3x  R9 390 on amazon.com

Please is anything missing i didn't include that is necessary?
will all these listed perform well as expected?

Well since you have CPU and CPU cooler listed separate i guess they don't come together... You can maybe try to find some used celeron that will sell with a cooler. And for MB if you plan to have max 4 cards it should be fine but if you plan to expand later better go with board with 6 connectors. And PSU with aliexpress..... hmmm well idk i would't trust them with something like that.

Why is it too late ? And you recommend him to buy coins now when this shit is happening with ETC and ETH ? Anyway if you have money invest, but even if ethereum fail (both chains) which is highly unlikely there will always be another coin to mine with gpu, and you can just sell them afterwards...

You noobs are slow but let me try to explain. When ETH goes POS no coin can absorb the hashrate. There will be no other coin to mine for profit. Noobs lose again.

Which will not happen for quite some time, at least not in next 5 months that is current average ROI on ETH.... So please....
And everyone forgets about ETC which will not turn POS and is profitable.... In fact its more profitable to mine than ETH right now... You can argue about how long will coin last but mine > exchange dump everything you mined for that day works quite well....

Am thinking of investing into mining ethereum by setting up like 3 GPUs to start with. unlike bitcoin that has so many difficulties this days which no one can afford to mine with little capital.
is ethereum going the way like bitcoin or still profitable to mining within next 9 months?

Too late. Better to buy coins.
