Re: Rock Legend Gene Simmons Says He's "All In" on Bitcoin
by
Sputnik_
on 13/08/2021, 00:39:59 UTC
In a recent interview with CNBC, Gene Simmons stated that he has entered Bitcoin with all his assets.
Rockstar is convinced that Bitcoin will be traded at a price of $ 60,000 by the beginning of next year:
"So, I’m all in, I’m putting all in. When there was a big dip and it went down…I’ve put in more."
As reported by [Suspicious link removed]day, the musician, who has become a businessman, revealed that he had a seven-digit bitcoin fortune in February.
Simmons entered the world of cryptocurrencies at the beginning of the epidemic because of his relationship with Tyler Winklevoss.
He quickly became a fan of cryptocurrencies, which even led some to accuse Simmons of receiving wages with some cryptocurrencies.
Apart from Bitcoin, the KISS star also owns Ethereum, Cardano, Polkadot, and UniSwap.
Simmons likes the fact that cryptocurrencies leave digital fingerprints, which he says make it easier to tax than gold.
He added that his fans could now use the cryptocurrencies to purchase his artwork, which will be available later this year.

Re: Is there any miner who have not sold any bitcoin from the beginning?
by

on 13/08/2021, 00:25:27 UTC
Mining has become a business and it’s growing. It has daily expenses and for that miners need to sell their BTC to cover up electricity bill and other cost if exists. But is there any known miner who has not sold their BTC for a single time who is mining for a long time now? We know there are addresses which haven’t moved their BTC for a long time. Is any miner included in the list?

I havent sold a single satoshi

Mining since 2010

I pay for my power out of my day job - its cheaper and easier to do and better than the DCA monkeys

plus saves me having to do tax because I havent sold.  Id imagine when the time came Ill have to dig out decades of info -- but for now - couldnt care less

crypto isnt about money - if it is - then youll never make it.

Re: Is it true that this cryptocurrency/bitcoin boom poses a threat to Earth.
by

The threat is in the form of increasing global warming which results in climate change. Generating Bitcoin requires a capable computer to solve complex mathematical puzzles and high electricity consumption. so that some countries prohibit mining for several other reasons such as in China and Iran some time ago. if so will bitacoin and others be able to run forever or is this just an excuse to change the green field to red..

This fucking forum has gone to shit.

It is a leftist/zionist agenda to destroy the fairest exchange medium on earth, simple as that.

Vanguard and Blackrock own pretty much the planet = they own all the investment firms below them (golman sachs et all) and then everything else or at least 80% of it.

They both own nearly 70% of APPLE and Microsoft - if that is NOT a conflict of interest then I dont know what is.  That is just the tip of the iceberg - and yes, they own all the pharmaceutical companies making "vaccines" trying to push it.

Here is an example of how much they own.  You book a holiday - using their shit, you fly in a plane - they own the company that made it, they own the mines where the materials are mined from.  You book air bnb - they own that shit too.  Walk into a store and dont buy a coke but by something like Schweppes or something.. yep they own all that shit too.

Just look on Yahoo finance and click on top holders, youll see those two scumbags at the top.  And they are private companies and you can see who is the most invested in them.

BTW these firms also use foundations to launder/do shady shit.  Oh and not only do they own all the media, they also own all the plaes that give the media their news, like reuters and AP..

I could go on and on and on and on.. but its ALL verified by checking ANY stock that is worth anything and check the top stock holders.

You see that they both control the world.

This shit should be front page news and yet I bet its the first time you have heard about it - because they own it all.

Re: Do I give a shit if elonmusk tweets some shit about Bitcoin?

Why should anyone care about what anyone tweets about ?

I swear to god, the losers will buy or sell all because of unconfirmed tweet from some loser or some other FUD. Thats has been going on for nearly 7 years tbh....

Always makes me laugh at the fickle nature of those traders.

Must hodl, he will fuck off eventually.  No one cares what ELON does. NO ONE with a brain anyway.  All those losers buying doge on the back of elon LOLOL  I even sold my old scrypt miners just by putting  DOGE COIN miner in the title and they went for 1000s to these kids... idiots. But look Ill thank elon for that I suppose.......

Dont worry too much about it, the only people that seem to give him attention are the kids that only discovered BTC in this latest bull run - like elon himself.  Problem is these kids whist utterly clueless about crypto in general - seem to act like they are more intelligent and smug about it.

Look at nicehash reddit, ethmining reddit, gpumining, even altcoin mining on here for the stupid questions - this new lot are dumb as bricks.   And I mean that because you only have to look at society in the last few years and the severe lack of quality teaching they would have got...now we get their dumb shit show up everywhere here now.

Re: POS instead POW
by
Sputnik_

With PoS, the more coins you hold, the more power you have over the network. Now think of the huge exchanges such as Coinbase and Binance — think about how much power they'd have. Bitcoin with PoS is simply a disaster.
Can't argue with the many similar posts that POS is not an option for BTC. While other coins have this proof-of-stake mechanism BTC is simply too valuable to engage in such without being detrimental to the rest of the holders.

Remember, BTC is all about decentralisation and moving away from the 'one man' monopoly.

Lets not pretend like Bitcoin is not  " the one man monopoly" as you put it. If you have the most fiat you can buy the MOST Bitcoin. If you have the largest Bitcoin mining operation you generate the most Bitcoin in rewards. This is the way of the world! No amount of decentralization will change that. Bitcoin cannot change ALL of the dynamic of humanity or our society. It has vast potential but human nature is what it is.The one thing we can change is the mechanism the value Bitcoin holds is powered by. Is it powered by SLOW environmentally unsustainable POW core or a environmentally sustainable FASTER POS

No you are wrong, and anyone else that champions for PoS

Its a piece of shit tech that doesn't work.

If you want centralisation then go buy frequent flyer points.

Its people like you that will ruin the entire crypto sphere.

POW has created the most secure financial system on earth - and it will keep it that way.

Elon and people like you want to destroy that.

You are the enemy of BTC. So kindly take your BS and fuck off kid.

Hello, crypto fans

We all know Satoshi Nakamoto. But the cryptocurrency industry would be nothing without its innovators who have worked hard to turn it into a success.
These people have fostered the popularity of cryptocurrency and are one of the reasons why it’s so widespread around the world.

Thanks to them, the world has Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, as well as a plethora of innovations in the form of digital assets, platforms and systems.
Not only that, these cryptocurrency trailblazers continue to drive the crypto movement towards mainstream finance adoption and other developments.

The crypto industry is yet to reach its full potential. You never know what new innovations will be made to improve it,
but you can rest assured that the best minds are on the case. Keep reading to learn more about some of the most influential people in crypto:

Changpeng Zhao: Founder of Binance

Changpeng Zhao, also known as ‘CZ’, is the CEO of the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world.
After studying computer science at McGill University, CZ began to work in the financial and technology sector.

His extensive experience in the industry includes being a developer for trading software and a technology officer for OkCoin.
However, the real magic began when Zhao founded Binance in 2017.

Binance first started out in China then soon expanded to countries like Japan and Taiwan as their success continued to grow.
Trusted by millions of users worldwide, the exchange continues to be a trailblazer in the industry.

Today, Zhao continues to dedicate his time and effort into Binance and its growth. It maintains a steady flow of demand despite being
one of the oldest crypto exchange platforms. Meanwhile, its native token BNB coin is also gaining traction in the market.

Vitalik Buterin: Founder of Ethereum

Known as the great mind behind Ethereum and Bitcoin Magazine, Vitalik Buterin is undoubtedly a household name in the crypto world.
At a young age, he was already drawn to technology, maths and economics.

In 2013, he proposed a whitepaper that plotted his plans for the Ethereum platform and cryptocurrency, which was then launched the following year.
Since then, Ethereum rose through the ranks and is now one of the best cryptocurrencies in the world. With a market capitalization of $249 billion,
it maintains its place after Bitcoin.

Brian Armstrong: CEO of Coinbase

Brian Armstrong is well known in the crypto industry because of his opinions regarding different issues and controversies in the crypto sphere,
as well as suggestions on improving it. Some of these include his clash with the Trump administration in 2020 and his words of wisdom to crypto
beginners about getting started in the industry. Armstrong started his career as a software developer and engineer for companies like Airbnb and IBM.

Upon acquiring $150,000 worth of funding in 2012, Armstrong used it to launch Coinbase. It soon became one of the most sought-after crypto exchanges
worldwide with more than 43 million users. Today, Coinbase is the first and only cryptocurrency exchange that has filed with the SEC to go public.

Joseph Lubin: Founder of ConsenSys

Born and raised in Canada, Joseph Lubin grew to pursue his passion for finance and computer science. After graduating from Princeton University,
his career slowly took off until he became the COO for EthSuisse, where he worked on the program-storing capabilities of blockchain.

Soon after, Lubin was invited by Vitalik Buterin to be one of the co-founders of Ethereum. He contributed to improving ETH through blockchain programs.
However, he is most known for founding Consensys in 2015. ConsenSys is a production studio dedicated to software and applications that are designed
to run on the Ethereum blockchain.

Amiti Uttarwar: The first woman to contribute to developing Bitcoin Core’s underlying code

In the cryptocurrency industry, female names are rarely heard of. However, this all changed when Amiti Uttarwar, a Bitcoin Protocol Engineer for
Bitcoin Core became one of the first women to contribute to developing its underlying code.

Uttarwar started her career as a developer who was proficient in dozens of coding languages. This gave her the opportunity to work with big names
in the crypto industry such as Coinbase.

Moreover, her career took off in Bitcoin Core where she became the first woman to contribute and gain funding to work on the software.
Aside from this, she also mentors other aspiring professionals who are looking to start a career in the industry as well.

Pavel Durov: Creator of privacy-focused messaging app, Telegram

Who would have guessed that a messaging app would be able to contribute to the crypto world? This is exactly what Pavel Durov,
the ‘Mark Zuckerberg of Russia’, did when Telegram was launched in 2013.

Durov believes everyone should have access to private communication. With the help of his brother, Nikolai Durov, the application soon became
a popular platform for crypto enthusiasts. Telegram became a gathering hub for crypto enthusiasts because of its privacy features.
It also supports news channels for crypto, as well as updates on crypto trading signals.

Brad Garlinghouse: CEO of Ripple, the 4th best cryptocurrency in the world

Garlinghouse specialises in financial technology and has worked for notable companies like AOL and Yahoo!
In 2015, he joined the Ripple team as COO and was promoted to CEO the following year.

Although the company has had its fair share of problems, especially with the latest SEC lawsuit, Garlinghouse remains positive.
The company has since bounced back and maintains the 4th spot of the best cryptocurrencies in the world.

These crypto kings and queens along with countless others are the reason why the cryptocurrency industry continues to break barriers and grow in popularity.
Public demand has risen and it’s all because of the technological advances and initiatives that stemmed from these experts.

Thanks for reading and you are welcome to share your thoughts.
Who else would you like to point out?

Regards,
Karl from Bitcasino

Your post forgot Craig White, I mean if you are going to include ripple....might as well chuck in the rest of the idiots in the crypto sphere.

I wish people would get off XRP centralised dick. It not a crypto currency at all imo.

Also, Eths launch was hardly fair, Ole Vitalik and his buddies mined a big chunk before the public could.  Never sat well in my eyes.

ok so i am guessing that kind of answers my question? the 650 kH/s is the max speed of my GPU? because my GPU is sitting at like 2% utilization

To answer your question - YES that is the max youll do.  It was NOT uncommon for people to have endless gpu racks minign scrypt coin. I myself had the r2x cards and about 10 of them gave me a has rate of about 5 M/h for some ridiculous power consumption of well over 1500w.

Then I bought a Zeus Thunder and that thing did 30M/H whilst consuming around 1000-1200w (I can still see this thing sitting there on the shelf - still works)

After a while, I decided to buy the L2 scrypt miners, they never came out, and got refunded in LTC - and then it mooned to 300 bucks - so I got well more back then I invested in the miner....

then I bought some L3+ scrypt miners and Iver been mining ltc/.doge with them ever since - they do 500M/H for 800watts

That shoudl answer your question about if your graphic card is good or not - as it doesn't matter if its good or not, these answers for has rate for scrypt for gpus is about 8 years ago - you caan search there as a reference point - most people here are not the old miners and cant give you this answer.  Ergo - you are asking for information NO ONE gives a shit about and hasnt since 2012.  Search for it instead in this forum.

Re: Mine doge coin with cpu miner?

Hello,

The right software to mine DOGE with CPU is CPU Miner?

Is this software reliable or is it a virus?

Has anyone the reliable download link?

HAHAHA this is awesome.

Its 2021 and doge coin was released in 2013 my man.

Doge coin has never been able to be mined with a CPU.  LTC was the dominate and first scrypt coin and by then GPUs were just about obsolete on it.  Ive a zeus thunder siting on the shelf taking up a lot of space and that mofo did 30mhs for like 1000 odd watts lol.

You can mine scraps of doge with the L3+ but you should have bought them before the end of the last year where I saw them going for $300 Australian dollars, I almost contemplated selling mine not too long ago, now I see em seeing them on ebay go for 2k lol.

So I turned them all on for a bit and then might offload them with DOGE COIN miner in the description lol

Re: a little help for a new dogecoin miner - with CPU
by

I'm using Windows Server 2019 and I want to do CPU mining with CPUminer (or whatever is best).  I downloaded CPUMiner from sourceforge, and I get one zip file with one exe inside.  Once the exe is unzipped to the desktop, I double click on the exe and nothing happens.  I read somewhere to try to open it with the command line, but couldn't get that to work either (may not be doing it right).

I'd appreciate some advice on how to actually USE cpuminer, (or is there something else I can use?), also, advice on what's the simplest and best pool to join...I'm a brand new dogecoin miner (potential) and am still learning how it works...

Holy shit, is it 2012 again Huh  next youll want to scypt mine with GPU's, then it will be 2013 for you.

Just so you know its 2021 and scrypt coins use ASICS and dodgecoin is merge mined these days.

Take a look around the crypto community, both in meatspace and online, and it would be fair to say that the majority of participants are male. This is borne out in a recent survey of 2,000 Americans which shed light on the makeup of the bitcoin space, highlighting a stark gender divide. In fact Google Analytics data estimates less than 4% of bitcoin users to be female. The question is, why?
