Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025

Those four will be quite awesome and they are going to end up changing for a long time, that has to be something that could focus on how to get a greater return. If we see this then we could make a good four team race but I sense that at least one of them will leave early and won't get a good result.

This has to be the complicated what they are dealing with, it is going be a lot better for us if all four ended up getting good results, that should not be a good thing for none of us at all. We should not be a good viewer if we didn't want all of them racing together, even if you are fan of one team, if your team goes up 10+ points ahead and then wins the league with ease, it is not as good of a feeling as winning on the last second.

Manchester United could have been the club to sign Gyokeres from Sporting CP, but since he made it known that he wouldn't join Manchester United, that made Manchester United not to enter the race to sign Gyokeres, and that's also the reason why Arsenal was able to sign Gyokeres. Arsenal was very serious about signing Gyokeres, but since Sporting CP used Manchester United to raise Gyokeres's transfer fee, Arsenal found it difficult to meet Gyokeres's transfer fee fast.
That would have made more sense in a multiple different ways. Amorim and Gyokeres meeting up again would have made a lot more sense and I am sad to see them they are not doing that. It's really complicated situation because Gyokeres really wanted Arsenal, not entirely sure what the exact reason was, but there was nothing United could do, the player just wanted to go to Arsenal so what could have they done?

There aren't that many strikers that they could have gotten. Osimhen was one, but he required a lot, he wanted a net of 12+ million euro for his fee, which means 20+ million with taxes, so that has to be the most important part. We need to realize they can't pay that much for the sake of salary balance between players.

Ademola lookman is a young talented striker that had good record from Atalanta that will attract other coaches to have him in their team next season.  what Inter Milan coach is seeing in the Ademola lookman performance in the Italian league and UEFA champion League attracted him to sign the striker in this pre-season, Since Inter Milan is planning to release some of their players, I think they will negotiate with Atalanta in a way they will agree for inter Milan to have Ademola lookman in their team but the only thing that will make inter Milan not to buy the striker, is the high price Atalanta management may demand because inter Milan is not too financially strong to afford such amount of funds, if it is English league coach, I know they will be able to afford huge amount of funds to have him in their team next season.
Lookman would work great for Inter, that type of striker is what they always look for. Lookman isn't the typical Haaland style pure goal scoring striker, he is  a team player that can assist too, or even if he doesn't really do anything in a possesion, he could literally just draw the defense away from the real danger, and create positions for others.

Basically what he is doing is fitting the system and the team instead of trying to shine all by himself. Those type of team players always shine amazingly at Inter. Look at Martinez, dude played there for years, and scored a ton of goals too, and he did very well, wasn't a top goal scorer for most of them, but scored enough, but helped the team overall, same could be done by Lookman without issues.

Nico Williams is still 22 years old, this is very good for the long term of the team and indeed in terms of individual quality Nico Williams is quite good, it's just that there is an added value when Nico Williams is paired with Yamal in the Spanish national team which makes the performance of both considered quite suitable but apart from that I like Nico Williams individually, he is a great player.

If Nico Williams comes I don't think anyone will be marginalized between Raphinha and Olmo because these three players will really help the team with the rotation that can be done by Hansi Flick and these three players can play in different positions, Olmo in the middle, Nico Williams on the wing and Rapihna can play a little up front so there is also a possibility that the three can play together.
It is obvious that Nico would be perfect for them, both a Catalan player AND also 22 years old and the Spanish teammate of Yamal, everything is like a dream, and he wants to play there too, so it works amazing for them. However, you can't just put Raphinha on bench, that is not how it works, he is a great player and he is doing a wonderful job and we should consider it being a lot better for them to sell him. If they can somehow get Nico, then they should get rid of Raphi so that he could go play somewhere.

Plus, as a team who has so much financial trouble, they can make at least 40-50 million from selling him, that's not really bad money and they can use that money to go buy Nico and while it may not cover all of it, it will cover most.

The FIFA Club World Cup is not just a bit of a fluke, it's a whole fluke. Benfica drew with Boca Juniors, Dortmund failed to score against Fluminense, Inter Milan failed to score multiple goals against Monterrey and drew, Manchester City failed to live up to expectations against Wydad AC, Real Madrid were helpless and drew against Al Hilal and PSG, the Champions League winners, lost to Botafogo without scoring a single goal. I don't know what else we're going to see in this tournament, but I expect we'll see some big surprises. I've already stopped betting on this tournament and am ignoring it.
Events like these always had results like these because no one know about few teams which are coming from different conditions many results were surprising, but still things are going on good because few teams are giving good performance like Bayern Munich and Manchester City and Juventus.

South American clubs usually underestimated because they are having no sources like clubs like UEFA but still they are having good skilled players those can bring good results for them as Botafogo done against PSG even no one were expecting due to PSG recent success in Champions League. Messi's Inter Miami beats Porto despite conceding early goal, but they fight back good and have won Porto was good favourite but still things gone against them, and they lost this game currently Benfica vs Auckland City is going on at half-time Benfica leading by 1–0 mostly were expecting good number of goals but today Auckland City doing good.

Another reason of the cause of liquidation is the use of high leverage. What leverage did the person used? Or if the person is trading highly volatile coins that he supposed to just gamble with.

Another reason is the lack of patience. Most traders wants to make money money as fast as possible but they will be losing because of the lack of patience.
Excellent point. I have noticed that more and more people are trading with high leverage. It's kind of a new trend to trade with 10-20x leverage which is nothing but gambling. People are sharing screenshots on X where they made $10k from just $200 with high leverage and new traders think this is an easy way to make money. It's absolutely NOT, because when someone earns $10k, there are 100s of traders who get liquidated.

Patience I'm not sure because having too much patience can be problematic too. Sticking with your trades is good but sticking just because you have an emotion with it, can lead to total liquidation.

Re: Who is fundamental analysis more important to?

Fundamental analysis is not new to people who trade, there are traders who somehow still happen to do well with price action or other indicators and strategy without use of fundamental analysis. To which trader do you think fundamental analysis holds more significance to, is it the crypto trader or the Forex Trader? Who should take it more seriously?
I think fundamental analysis is important for any type of traders but it's more relevant and useful to people who trade more in the product than in the price. Basically for anyone who believes in the product more than the hype. Also long term investors should always do a thorough fundamental analysis before investing because longevity comes from how the future looks like and that all can be checked with the help of a fundamental analysis.

That said though, fundamental analysis is important for everyone. Even for someone who makes quick trades, doing some level of analysis helps you understand how things will pan out in future and hence which way the price could move.

It was a surprise for me too, that Al-Hilal game, since in my opinion the difference between the teams is quite big. This is already the second big surprise I've seen in this tournament, the other one was Fluminense vs Bayern... Today there's another game I'm curious to watch: Botafogo versus PSG. If Botafogo wins, it'll be the third surprise for me lol.

Tomorrow is the most important game of the season for the team I support: Flamengo.

Thinking about today’s bets,  any suggestions?
That is true that the gap is big, but we have seen Real Madrid lose to Sheriff FC 4 years ago, while also winning the UCL same season, so just because you lose to ne bad team, doesn't make you bad. That could be the best example because it's the same team, Real Madrid, and it's the same situation.

This game doesn't mean they won't win this, or they would be bad for the whole season, it is just one game, and sometimes great teams fail to win against worse teams. They need to make sure they can play better, but it will take time for them to get better, I am sensing that Xabi is making huge changes and that will cause some trouble. Plus, there were some players who are not starting eleven material, so they just used those for Al Hilal.

Asked why Ranieri, Pioli, DeRossi and Cannavaro said no.
Easy, it's a mission impossible, very difficult to enter this World Cup in this situation and with little time available.
In fact I think that Italy will fail to qualify, once again. Not a problem. The top brass of the FIGC must be fired.
Fingers are crossed for Italians soccer team because after every day their system is going down, and they are facing problems which are having huge impact on their structure which needs to be had changes before it faced terrible end. Many big names already reject offer, and now they are having a person who is looking not right for this job but still having his best for remaining games I am still having some faith into them but look like most chances it's going to be third time.

Agreed. Also, I would say that the coach has a limited role to play in today's national teams. The real issue with Italy is that they simply don't have enough younger players to replace the seniors who retire each year. And also, unlike the case with teams such as France and England, they don't have a very large immigrant population. This means that they have few people in the 15-29 age group, and this is being reflected in the performance of the national team as well as the major clubs.
Italy's league was one of the best in UEFA but sadly in last few years it's gone down badly with mostly foreign players are having control of top clubs which are giving setback to their national team while their system is also fail to bring domestic players in front.

Things are looking for big changes but no one is ready to do this Brazil and Italy are both on same page which is big setback for global soccer because both were once beauty of soccer and bring many players those make their mark around soccer world but now still having individuals but as team their performance is badly down who will took charge it's big question.

Staying at the Al Nassr team is also not a bad option for Ronaldo although I also don't want to compare Ronaldo's appearance when he was still in an elite European team with a myriad of achievements such as becoming the top scorer and others. Because at Ronaldo's current age, he will still have more value if he is able to give one trophy to the Al Nassr team before he moves to another team if there are still other teams interested in him at an age that is no longer young. As for Garnacho, my suggestion is that he does not need to move to the Saudi Arabian team if there are still European teams willing to accept him as a player because that would be much better for his own career as a player who is still quite young.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr was looking on cards because now he is having last years of his career while World Cup is also coming so for having good fitness and keep playing with good quality will give him good chance of having better results for Portugal.

After this as Al Nassr is giving luxurious salary and other bonuses these were not possible for any other club some hype was created by media but this gone dead because Al Nassr needs him and Ronaldo was also having something special for this club even Al Hilal try but things not gone as expected.

This league is better option while things will be also good for Saudi League to have more availability of Ronaldo which give them good globally name in soccer community hopefully now all will be good for last year before world cup.

Batting paradise for first 2.5 days with condition apply, if you can play the spin. Other than that, it's spin stronghold and one of the difficult pitch of subcontinent.
In fact, nothing can be said for sure about Bangladesh's batting, where the first two sessions of the first day and the second day, that is, before the rain, were a batting paradise, but after the rain, the batting paradise changed and became a bowling paradise. Where Bangladesh lost five wickets for just 26 runs after Mushi and Liton Das were dismissed. If Bangladesh had had the chance to bat for one more over, they would have been all out.
Farewell test match for veteran Angelo Mathews who is playing 119th and last test match for his country injuries and other problems hit badly to this good skilled all-rounder who fail to achieve few good things during his career for Sri Lanka.

I was expecting this type pitch but Bangladesh's good luck they won toss and have 2 big innings from their experienced players now 10 to 15 more runs could be good for having good end of their inning. Marathon spells for Sri Lankan spinners as Prabath Jayasuriya 48 overs with 154 runs without any wicket and Tharindu Rathnayake 49 overs with 196 runs 3 wickets pick of the bowlers but Mushfiqur Rahim 163 and Najmul Hossain Shanto 148 steal the show now I am expecting one big inning from Angelo Mathews if he gets the chance because weather is now also important factor in this bore test match at Galle.

Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025

Ruben Amorim failed to improve Man United in the Premier League last season. But yeah, we can't blame Amorim because he just started with an existing team that might not even suit his coaching style. And now in the player transfer market, Amorim has been given the opportunity to rebuild Man United to be even better by changing the depth of the Man United squad itself. And Amorim is definitely busy now bringing in the new players he really needs. And some players will definitely be released. Especially players who don't fit into Amorim's desired criteria. And in the new season we will be able to assess Amorim's performance. We'll see whether he succeeds or not. But I personally would probably like to see Amorim succeed.
While we can't blame "all" of it on Amorim, I keep seeing these people who are trying to make Amorim look blameless, like zero responsibility for this season. I would say he is not to blame for all of it, but zero? I do not think so. No matter who he had, no matter how his players weren't fit for his style, no matter what ended up happening, we are talking about a guy who had the worst start of a managers career ever in United history, that is a bit for his to be blamed at least.

This is why we can't really say he is fully blameless for this season. Should he deserve a chance to continue? Of course, he should continue one more year, in fact, no matter what happens this year, unless they are in relegation zone, he should keep one more year, with whatever player he can get for next season, but that's it, no more, just one more year.

Re: Long-term earnings in sports betting are evidence of high intelligence.
by
SquallLeonhart
on 17/06/2025, 03:44:43 UTC
In gambling it is not those with high intelligence that have long term earnings. It is those who are persistent. Even a fool who is persistent will be more profitable over the long term if they are able to stick with the recommended gambling strategies.

It is persistence not intelligences. I can even say that highly intelligent people may likely not gamble because there is no intelligence required for it and gambling is not in anyway mentally stimulating. Rather it is only dopamine stimulating and highly intelligent people are looking for brainy stuff.

A sign of high intelligence is also knowing when to stop regardless of your winning or losing situation at that point in time while gambling.
I am not at all sure that the persistent fool will be profitable in the long run. Persistence is a quality that can bring success in other areas, for example, in business. In real business, there are often situations where you are required to persist and persist in achieving your goals. The most important thing, the main thing that persistent fools can survive in the long run is the low cost of mistakes. In business, mistakes can really be cheap, although this is not always the case. In gambling, mistakes are almost always expensive if you measure them as a percentage of the entire deposit. The high cost of mistakes will not allow the persistent fool to have significant profits in the long run.
I think you missed the part where he said, that the fool gamblers are being recommended by a gambling strategy, (a well-working one). Now that makes them to be profitable. If not, they still can transform their selves because they are persistent. So intelligence really/also can play a major role. Usually, a naïve can make a lot of costs, especially in the gambling field. In doing real business, normally we always have a decent budget here because they are more complex.

So we can say that mistakes here can also be costly. It may seem tragic but they can be a good thing too, although if we are able to minimize or avoid it right from the start, then why not? That seems even better.

Re: It all starts with the right mindset.
by
SquallLeonhart
on 16/06/2025, 17:04:09 UTC
Most of us probably don’t believe that it’s possible to be profitable in sports betting. That mindset alone already closes off any opportunity to earn, so it’s hard to argue with people who don’t believe. On the other hand, there are people who truly believe they can win, especially in the long run. and that’s the mindset we need if we want to take sports betting seriously and make it a long-term journey.
That's addiction at peak for anyone who thinks that way. Thinking about making money from gambling is impossible, regardless of whether you gamble on slots, originals, or you bet on sports. Such mindset that you will profit in the long run can be dangerous because it's like digging a hole with all your might but in the wrong direction and you will never reach the destination.

I would rather have the weak mindset that I cannot win from gambling because that surrender kind of mentality at least stops me from gambling more and more in trying to find why it's not working lmao

I am yet to meet someone who earned money from gambling in the long run, without hitting some type of jackpot.

Re: Consequences of not gamble with the right frame of mind
by
SquallLeonhart
on 16/06/2025, 15:48:04 UTC
You will only end up regretting, that’s the most possible consequence. Gambling is a game of knowledge and skills, analysis and strategic bets, so how would you showcase them if you yourself isn’t prepared enough and is not capable making it at the present.

Simply put, you will only lose and drain your wallet. You don’t have focus and presence of mind, that it’s hard for you to even attract luck and chances.
So you mean having knowledge and skills and knowing how to analyze and strategize? I don't know if there's an advantage if you have these.
Mentally stable or not, gambling will still be a game of luck no matter how capable you are of analyzing it.

If you are mentally ill, you better stay away from casinos because it's not the right place to treat any emotions and mental disorders because if you lose in a casino, I'm sure it would make it worse.
I agree. In fact, the more knowledge you think you have about gambling, the worse it is. Because with the mindset that you have gained a lot of knowledge comes the attitude of "I know everything". Gambling is all about luck and a monkey betting is the same as you betting with years of experience and knowledge. It just doesn't matter how much you know about gambling. We can shine the coin all day and analyse all we want but flipping it still has a 50% chance of winning Smiley.

When I read all these threads, I feel like people are overthinking about gambling. Some are trying to find a strategy that beats the casino while others are debating how we should approach gambling. Guys, it's just a fun activity and nothing else. You cannot make money from it, just gamble the way it's most fun for you, simple.

I understand people who are disappointed in Messi and MLS level, because if you watched before this game, you would know that it's a subpar league and they are not good at all, not even remotely at European level. But to say that Ronaldo changed Al Nassr and made them good is funny Cheesy That dude won nothing with them, no league since he arrived for 2.5 seasons. So to say that you are going to end up with a better Ronaldo and Al nassr which can do anything here, is funny.

Messi had some shots that the other goalkeeper saved, but otherwise, Al Nassr and Inter Miami are not that different in level that any decent European team would destroy them. So that is why it makes sense to realize we are not going to see any team outside of Europe would have a remote chance to win this.

After a disappointing and worst tour of England today West Indies playing last game of this soil against Ireland with 2 abandoned games increase their frustration, but today they have done amazing stuff.

20 sixes and 20 fours hit by West Indian batsmen while they score 256 for 5 with Evin Lewis 91 on 44 balls, Shai Hope 51 on 27 balls and Keacy Carty 49 on 22 balls hammered all around this was one of the best batting display by these young West Indian players. Now in reply Ireland lost early wicket of Paul Stirling but now Harry Tector and Ross Adair score 55 runs in just 6 overs which is making this match interesting to watch.

What we know so far is that Claudio Ranieri and Stefano Pioli refused to train the Italian national team. I assume they aren't sure if it is possible to save Italy and make it qualify to FIFA World Cup.
Gattuso isn't the best coach and he already failed with Marseille, yet he will have a better selection with the national team and he will most likely has few good pals helping him like Leonardo Bonucci, Gianluca Zambrotta and Simone Perrotta.
Sacking of Luciano Spalletti was wrong decision by the Italian federation because he can do better in coming days just one defeat has surely never been problem while things were on their lowest level for Italy now they are looking for spot into World Cup 2026 but this defeat and change of coach create some doubts on their chances.

Few big names already rejected this chance while few not considered even they were looking much better than Gattuso who is having first time at this job while his record in clubs are also not good which can give any encouragement for Italians to have better chance of qualification. Gattuso had not enough time for doing things on balance which is the problem for him, but they can do some good in coming matches which will surely give them good confidence if they are able to have better results and chance of qualification.

That for sure is gambling. There is no way even the best trader on earth can predict the price movement in the next 10 mins or 30 mins. This is just gambling and as I can see it pays 87% on win which means the house-edge is about 6.5% which is crazy because most casinos have 1-2% edge on original games and slots have usually 4-6% edge.

I used to play on a website I believe was called secondstrade (I think it's closed now) or something similar and it was the same concept. Burned a lot of money there but I always knew it's gambling and played in limit.

Unless you can manipulate the market with a humongous capital, it's impossible to predict the price in such short term. And if you were to manipulate the market you need millions of dollars. These sites don't accept more $1-2k bets so it won't be worth it anyways.
