Re: Which platform is the best for staking?

Find the best platforms that runs on cheaper network like BSC, uniswap fee is very high, also I recommend a well secured platforms like kucoin and binance that's if you prefer exchanges than wallets, as for wallet atomic and trust are the best

Re: What's your expectation for 3090ti in terms of hashrate
by
Squezzi55
on 27/08/2021, 11:12:31 UTC
I'm not sure it will worth buying for miners because the difference in hashrate won't be that big, it's just like comparing a gtx1660 to gtx1660 super where their hashrate difference is just 5-7MH, I expect nothing more than 140-150MH max

Re: Bitcoin = 100k by December
by

The only that could make this happen is the taproot upgrade that's coming to bitcoin network, if this happens this year well we can definitely see a new ATH but I'm not sure it will hit 100k still, these are mere predictions anything can happen, the coming weeks will determine how December will play out, all we can do is wait

Re: Are my GPUs overkill
by

I'm using 1200 watt power supply on a rig that consists of 5 gtx1660 and 1 3060ti and from wall I'm only using 480watt, I calculated this using watt meter, imagine how many power I have left but if I have to use more I will make sure it doesn't exceed 1000watt for GPUs and Motherboard combine, I don't want a dead power supply on my watch

AMD stopped making these cards already and there are high demand for them because they are so good and efficiency for mining, you can easily find these cards only in bear market, same as Vega 56 and 64, in China right now they are sold out, you can find the RX6700 and 6800 easily but not as good as 5700xt

Re: A gem among 1000 of savage new projects

I don't see anything great about this project as it's just like many new projects out there today, polkaparty lacks good trading volume and market cap too so I don't understand how this project will be huge, many investors invest because of hype and I invest because of utilities surrounding the project, I never doubted or think twice before investing on polkadot and avalanche, good projects have different auras

Re: Who is switching to what? Which coin will you choose to mine after Ethereum 2.0?
by

And did anyone try to mine ERGO meantime? It's shown as really profitable coin but is it really like that?

For example today it make only couple cents less than ether.

Exactly, my eye are on ERGO Coin as we speak it's very easy to see that this is the next Ethereum in terms of minable algorithm I meant, this coin is capable of taking ETH hashing power and still survives because I believe this coin will join top 20 soon, the use case is just way better than many PoW algorithm coins I've seen

You might be right but the case here is making money out of them even if their long term plan is to be fraud, I wouldn't bother myself much in this area since all developers are also humans like myself, they are here to make money too, this is why taking profits from new Altcoins and investing them in BTC is my best strategy

Re: Need advice in starting a Solar Mining Farm

Solar energy will make your ROI longer compare to using grid only, I was in this state of yours before and I ended up building a solar power anyways for personal use but I still have grid power too, so all I do is switch to grid when available and switch back to solar power when grid is gone, yea in my country grid doesn't stay for 24hrs

Re: Any FREE linux distro for setting up small rig 4cards?
by
Squezzi55
on 24/08/2021, 08:50:39 UTC
I'm using three rigs on hiveOS as we speak and it's for free, it's been weeks that I sent the whole rigs up completely and they have been running fine since then, I've used minerstat OS and MMPOS but I just like hiveOS better, once you find a way to understand how the thing works you will find it hard to choose another over hiveOS

82°C isn't safe to say the truth, work on the thermal paste and thermal pad atleast to run the cards at lower temp, or run on hiveOS and downclock to use low power which will reduce the GPU temp effectively

I know, but that card is removed from a working environment which had a lot of dust in them.I have power limit it to 70% with the built in Linux command :

sudo nvidia-smi -pl 70

I got it for free as I said from a workstation which needed an upgrade so as long as it lasts I am happy and cannot leave it out in the air (has to stay inside the case) because I have a small kid just above 1.5 years.
Just saying, have you try changing its thermal pad? Or if thermal pads aren't available on the GPU mem chips you can create yours I'm sure this will drastically reduce the temp of the GPU

Re: How to understand that you are making a mistake?
by
Squezzi55
on 24/08/2021, 08:32:18 UTC
Have you ever had a situation when you realized that you were making a mistake, but you just keep on doing it. For example, buying some kind of hype shit coin about which you are absolutely sure that in the end it will become garbage, but in the short term there are chances to get a good profit, but in the end everything turns out the other way around.

Share your stories.
This is like going against your own mind, if your mind is telling you that you are doing something wrong you need to believe and if you still keep doing it them greed have taken over you, shitcoins will always be shitcoins but it's normal to feel like you are missing out when others are cashing out, it's not just good for your mental health is all so stop it.

Xec will pump more in value as bulls are getting stronger every day, I'm also into Ergo and Conflux too since you've mentioned Ravencoin already, Ergo will be big in near future because of its potential, it seems to be standing tall among the rest

It depends on how much we talking about here, if the money is much it's safer ti divide them in USDC addresses or USDT, I'm a fan of USDT though as I feel more safer using it than even DAI which is a decentralized stable coin, the choice is yours to make

Maybe what you need is a crypto mining calculator? You can see how much a GPU will give your every 24 hrs/day so you will know how many GPUs you can afford to buy

You already have 400MH? If I were you I'd keep mining with that hash power and keep changing to stable coin, it's like BTC will go over 50k and this will bring more values for altcoins, just keep mining and storing ETH/BTC wait till bear market to buy GPUs

Re: Why did Monero creator let himself be known?
by
Squezzi55
on 21/08/2021, 16:14:19 UTC
He's not the creator, he's just one of the developers plus I think it wasn't because of his involvement with Monero that he was arrested and denied bail, something like embezzlement or laundering, something that involves money.
Bitcoin has developers too why isn't anyone of them known till date? OP is on point if we think about this very well, no one should go out and says he helped develop any privacy coin, this should go on in silence

Re: Avoid expensive GPU
by

I bought 3070s for many reasons.
1) I can get decent mh/s on one rig not have 2 rigs. Used all old stuff I already had with new corsair psu's.
2) Power is highest price in world where I live, currently almost 1/3 my income goes straight to power (more if there is no sun for solar).
3) If something does happen and mining is not worth it 3070 are sell able, 1660super good luck selling tons of them for decent price. At least in my location.
4) Setup cost was pretty much risers, gpus and 2 psu so roi is quicker. 1660supers would mean need way more setup gear.
It still depends on how much you buy your GPU, I bought gtx1660 350$ to 450$ and I bought my 3070 for 1400$ if bear market comes believe me a new 3070 will cost 700$ at the time that's half of the price they are been sold right now

How many pcie extender have you been able to run on a single motherboard? I heard that for some only two slots works per pcie x4 slots, is there anyone running more than one of this extenders on a single mother?
They don't always work very well and on most motherboards you can only use on pcie splitter, I don't like them and I never will it's better to buy mining motherboards with 12gpus slots available, this will even save you more power consumptions

You got your recovery seed right? Download metamask app on your androi d phone and import the seed into metamask or trust wallet they support BSC network, I'm later coinomi wallet will also supports BSC network but they just work too slow
