The amount of time these trolls have to just talk rubbish never ceases to amaze me. Here we are spending time on things that actually matter and make a difference and I look back for 2 pages and I just see people that literally have nothing better to do with their time.
To me, time is a valuable asset - I could never imagine spending it going on another coins thread and just being a c**t for the sake of it... Anyway... each to their own. I wish you guys would just stop bitching about the Isidor situation. Either contact him and see whats up or shut up and wait. It's possible the review is done and they are waiting to release it. It's also possible that the damning review that was posted before was real. The devs have said nothing. If you want an answer, find Isidor. He at least owes an explanation for taking donations and apparently doing nothing.

Why was the use of USE_UPNP disabled?
Yeah you will need to install that; You can disable it post install.
IIRC the reason was related to Android wallet integration ... for the moment it is required during install.
First Bitcoin based coin that I have ever come across that does not allow the USE_UPNP=- flag.
UPnP has had some pretty major vulnerabilities in the past and almost certainly still has some. The convenience, for me, is not worth the security risk however slight that might be.
I will wait until the USE_UPNP=- flag is hopefully restored.

after some time away from wild west alt coins, this one has lured me back, it looks promising, is the android wallet working at the moment?
I was in IRC earlier, and I heard one of the devs say that the team had a meeting and is excited to get working. He also said ryno will be working on the Android wallet tomorrow. I don't think its working at the moment as it hasn't been updated since the ShadowSend implementation, but sounds like it is being worked on currently.

I'm looking forward to the phone wallet. Will it be a light wallet, or will it need the full blockchain on the phone?
Once this is ready I'm going to get a throwaway phone and see what can be done with it.
Dumb question: if I had Linux proper running on a phone will I be able to run this wallet on it, being Android and Linux are related? Would I be able to run the Linux wallet?
I think the mobile version will be available sooner than you think but it will be interesting to see if you could get it compiling on a mobile linux OS.

The entire wallet source is available at https://github.com/SDCDev/shadowcoin . This is the latest version with the HTML wallet fully open sourced including the css and js!

They said the issue was something to do with stealth addresses and a missing index in the wallet. St3baS said it was something to do with a rare case of the secret key using less than 32 bytes to represent the secret key. But he has fixed the code to work for secret keys < 32 bytes. Not sure what that means, but I think it means St3baS rocks. Really glad to have him on team Shadow.

This project needs more devs and less of the gimmick crap... You all know i'm quite blunt and frank at times. I'll remain consistent and state an observation.
Gimmick is sneaking into this project...again.
The ShadowBay is not viable or feasible in the current state of its team makeup! Just be realistic about what you expect and what you encourage others to expect about that kind of gimmik crap this early. (My message to the community)
The team clearly stated it is looking into ShadowBay as an idea from the mass of the shadow community. But most people here, a week later started to change that story and started saying its happening within a month or so. (making me vomit) Personally i don't see it as something that will be viable nor will it be close to completion this year. Its a gimik that most projects tried to use to justify price increase. It was and has always been driven by communities who think they know what they want and need. And i fear that its a pipedream of most to become a launchpad to "the moon". It is not a launchpad in this case and never will be unless there is sufficient talent, resource and motivation to fund devtime to completion. Besides, the core is not even working consistently across all platforms yet.
Many of you may think we need it now but i argue that its fools errand and that we do not. You will burn out the current team then the project will die.... I will stake my life on that!
Ryno, Techno need and want more devs interested in the tech. Not the gimmick shit most of you want to justify a rise in value.
The focus here should be recruiting dev talent and appealing to them. Leave the gimmick wet fart to xc, xst and the rest of those trash communities please.

xst have tor implemented, anon sms, and just released a new 3d wallet. xst wallet and block is rock solid. your coin have nothing beside broken block, lockup wallet and nonsense ring signatures no one bother want to know, this is probably the wallet is lockup because of cheesy ring signatures coding. a code reviewer which is not qualify to be one. oh, and no adoption. your coin is deem to die soon.
Come back and talk to us when you actually have anonymity in your blockchain. Because until then, you are just like every other scam trash project shill who has .5btc volume and 5 zeros at the beginning of its price. Full of hot air with an incompetent team and community.

Shadow is an Open Source project, all the team members here work for free.
So what's the difference between a "team member" and a "shadowcash investor" ? A team member is just an investor who is working to make Shadow greater (as Dev, PR, or anything else).
Lot of people here are waiting for things to be done, waiting for his investments to be bigger, in a passive mode.
If you really believe Shadow is a breaktrough tech and if you want you SDC to value more, you too have the power to do something for Shadow.

am I to assume you worked out how to convert ur 1 Shadow to SDC?
Just to clarify something that the UI doesn't tell you - The anon outputs need to be 10 blocks deep before they can be spent.
There should probably be a notification or something to let you know - I will speak to SDCDev about it.
