Re: NEW 0% FEE LITECOIN POOL WITH BLOCKFINDER REWARD

How are you making any profit from your pool if there's no pool fee? How are you covering your so called 'professional server' costs? What's the catch?

Looks ok, better than alternative profit-switching pools but the profitability calculation method sounds very basic.

You should take into consideration things like:

  • Trading volume in the exchanges you use. (i.e will you be able to dump large amounts of the currency without making the price plummet?)
  • How stable the cryptocurrency's price is
  • How frequently does the cryptocurrency's difficulty update? (Will we be able to mine here for a worthwhile time without the difficulty skyrocketing because of your hashpower)

Basically, I'm not going to mine with a profit-switching pool until they take into account things like this, or I'd be making much more profit mining on my own, manually.

It's too difficult to explain to the masses unless they already know about Bitcoin. It's something for cryptocurrency enthusiasts and mathematicians.

a Q in the middle to fill hole?

good idea

I don't think you guys understand design. The logo has to be reasonably identifiable in many sizes, and as small as 16x16 pixels. A small Q in the hole wouldn't be visible at such resolution.

TLDR: We need to keep it simple.

Re: [XPM] Working on a GPU miner for Primecoin
by

Hey guys. I am working on a GPU miner that uses mathematical calculations to detect whether or not a Primecoin GPU miner is out!

Where do I download it?

It's not ready yet. I have a working GPU proof-of-concept, but it's not any faster than straight-up CPU mining. Donate 1 BTC or more and get early beta access a week before others! The address is in the bottom of this post. Thanks!

When will it be released?

If all goes well, there should be a closed beta on August 25th! The official release will be after a week or two of beta testing.

Why should I trust you?

Because I'm a stranger on the internet! Nothing can go wrong here!

Donate 1 BTC or more and get early beta access!

To fund the development of the miner, I would appreciate it if you could donate a sum of BTC, it will motivate me to work harder and faster, and thus you'll be able to enjoy the miner sooner. As an additional bonus, every donator of 1 BTC or more gets early access to the beta version at least a week before the miner is officially released.

Can anyone tell me their ratio of stale to rejected shares? I.e. The SS figure in cgminer, and the R figure. And over what time period.

Also, if anyone is using --no-submit-stales, can you tell me your address?

My 7950 running for exactly 10 hours:

It's a website where people can rent machines to mine XPM for a fixed daily price in Bitcoins.

However I did get slightly confused about what the number here meant in the first few seconds of me reading:

http://puu.sh/3MdRg.png

I would suggest putting this symbol: BTC or just BTC after the number.

This coin is terrible. The creator even tells you to not use it, what's the point then?

Lets see, if people are afraid GPU will kill XPM they will sell now, so then I will be able to get a whole lot of XPM for my 1 BTC. Then again, LTC is going up slowly against BTC so I might be better off keeping my LTC, then selling it for BTC to buy XPM. Then again XPM is going up against LTC, so perhaps selling LTC for BTC to buy XPM when price crashes because everyone will sell XPM because there is a GPU mining software might be a good idea. Hm, then again if difficulty goes down because price is crashing, I might as well just mine it with my CPU, but whats the point if prime goes down the crapper because GPU killed it. But perhaps it wont kill it, and if difficulty goes down AND I have a GPU miner myself one week in advance I might reeking in a whole lot more XPM on mining then I would get from buying. Then again difficulty might not go down so much and XPM might not crash and then I might be better of buying this GPU mining sw.

With a pool? You can set up slaves and transfer your coins into a single wallet

Primecoin doesn't have any pool support yet. I'm talking about solo mining.

I want to mine XPM on other computers but I want it to automatically send the block rewards to my main wallet without me having to do anything. Is there a way I can do this?

Re: Which Alt Coin you like best

I want to say XPM because it is the first cryptocurrency to calculate something moderately useful when it is mined. I just want people to confirm the security of the coin and then I will say that it's the best alt coin hands down.

Otherwise it would have to be LTC. The rest don't show any true innovation.
