Hi there.
I think to start of with basic theory of trading cryptocurrency as well as learning some basic strategies is a good start.
Lately I check on https://theblockchaintoday.com/trading-university/ , there you can find free courses with information.
The courses aren't complete yet, but still..

Next to that it is very handy to be active in reddit /daytrading /bitcoin /cryptocurrencytrading
I get a lot of information out of those subreddits.

I think The Blockchain Today is a very nice and easy resource for people who want to start trading cryptocurrencies.
They just develop some free courses (not finished yet), but they're very helpful snd give a lot of insights.
On their Youtube channel he is also doing some technical analysis and not only on bitcoin but also including some other stocks now and then.

My tip would be to read the course they're making now at https://theblockchaintoday.com/trading-university/

Also youtube channel "The moon" is a nice resource I think personally.

This video shows quite good how to put your tokens on Binance. For a non-listed coin I don't think it's possible to transfer to Binance.

How Does the Lightning Network Work
by
Statedapps
on 29/10/2018, 10:15:12 UTC
(Source : https://theblockchaintoday.com/how-does-the-lightning-network-work/)

The main idea is that small transaction don’t need to be on the main blockchain this avoids the transactions per second limit and is also called “the off-chain approach”.

Basically the lightning network makes it able to create multi signature addresses. Simply said, multiple parties can use a same bitcoin address.

For example, I’m shopping often at a supermarket. So I’m opening a payment channel with the supermarket. The payment channel you could compare with a safe deposit box.

I’m sending let’s say 0.3 BTC to our payment channel. The supermarket will have a small amount inside 0.05 for possible returns.

Opening the payment channel happens on the main blockchain so that there is full transparency. The supermarket can see I successfully deposit 0.3 BTC and so is the supermarket ensured that it will get the money as soon as the payment channel closes.

Now that the payment channel is open, I can go to the supermarket and buy my groceries. Let’s say on my first visit I will buy things worth of 0.02 BTC. To pay for it I just simply give a order to the payment channel that 0.02 BTC of my account has to go in to the supermarkets account. which leaves me on 0.28 BTC and the supermarket at 0.07 BTC.

Now the supermarket and me are signing this with our private keys. We then each get a copy of it but don’t do anything else with it.

I can do my groceries for as long as I have balance inside my payment channel.

There is no-limit in the transactions between us. I can make thousands of transactions at the supermarket without that it has any influence on the main blockchain.

The payment channel can be closed at any time by either me or the supermarket. Al we would have to do is take the latest copy of the balance sheet signed by both parties and broadcast it to the bitcoin network.

Miners will then validate the signatures on the balance sheets and if everything is okay it will release the funds according to the balance sheet. This creates a single trans action on the blockchain.

Re: Most alts are worth Zero

I think a couple of Alts are definitely worth holding.
Most of the alts are rip offs or similar coins then Bitcoin, sometimes even forks which can be okay of course but still they are all following he leader (BTC).

Although I know it sounds cliche, some alts are using completely different technology and are steering their own path with its own technology (of course inspired by Bitcoin).

Let's have a look at IOTA and the Tangle (for a clear and visual explanation https://theblockchaintoday.com/iota-the-tangle/ ). The technology is very revolutionary as the speed increases over time and there is no need for miners and therefor no fees. This has a lot of potential, not even as a payment solution but a way of sending and storing data.

IOTA is one example that really brings something new to the table IMO.
Next to that we see others like NANO doing something with similar benefits.

Re: Is Block Chain going to be the next internet?
by

I do have to say when I see al the news I have the feeling big movements are around the corner but in my daily life I'm not experiencing it so far.
This is a simple riddle of where blockchain might be right now : https://theblockchaintoday.com/blockchains-position-end-2018/
I think the snowball will appear very soon and could be very big.

After the hype of Bitcoin, it's only natural that hype will leave. The massive increase of the price of BTC only would have resulted in hype, which naturally would have faded.

However, while the price of Bitcoin has dropped since, I don't believe it will drop drastically further, as IMO the hype has created an industry of advancement within Blockchain technology (more companies/startups are being created to developer Bitcoin and technologies like it due to the initial hype)

you right on hat I think. What would you think the future has for bitcoin self ?

Do you agree that facebook banned all that promote ico's and bitcoin?

I don't agree at all, there are a lot of advertisements that aren't "legit" not only ICO scams. Every investor is responsible for his buying behavior and research.  Next to that there should be freedom of marketing to promote your products.
I don't think all these "get slim now", "start earning now 10k a month " is good advertisement, yet they are also there.

Again, power is lost about what is going and that scares them. So they prefer to get out and even share that "in the future there will be a own blockchain/coin" then that they support it now.

It is safe for whales who don't care much if they lose their coins. Rule is to leave only the coins you are trading with on the exchange, anything long term should be put into a proper wallet off the exchanges.

They can shut down any time and all your coins will be lost!

I completely agree!

If Ether stays (which in my opinion it will do)
It's of course a good (and long term cheap) idea to mine.

Wait till one of the first 10 - 20 Dapps will be popular. It will change a lot for Ethereum
