Sell your xst if you got any brains. Main dev hondo now works for breakout. People need to do their own research. He gives no f**ks about you or the project. He now is trying to save this shit and act like he cares. dont get fooled he is just trying to sell you his shit coins he wants to get rid of. I got kicked off the slack for trying to help people. Please read his own comments in the slack. You will see for your self. Dont believe me just read. I am just saying do your own research, read his few comments on slack. He has posted more today than he has this whole year. Good luck

I dropped you from the slack because you were not being constructive. You were simply "LOL"ing and ridiculing others who were trying to be helpful, which I took to be needless trolling. I am no stranger to criticism, and you weren't even criticizing me when I dropped you. If you want to get back into the slack, I will let you in. If you want to criticize me, I am fine with it. And even if you want to criticize others, it is probably okay. But at least add some content to your posts and don't be so trollish, please.

Also, if you have visited the Bittrex slack, you will see that I have made every case for their continued listing of this project.

The premine has been untouched since 12/17/2014 (over 2 years)

Premine address: S8knUucS6iFwAt1S8BmRpiTykqQfRLcape

The last send from the premine was https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xst/tx.dws?516672.htm

Personally, I own more XST than ever, almost all of which I have bought at Bittrex. I am constantly acquiring it and will continue to do so.

For the short term, I believe the way forward to get it listed on a centralized exchange, like Cryptopia or Nova. Beyond that, the future is a decentralized exchange. The frontrunner is BlockNet and I will work with them to ensure XST is fully integrated. Once BlockNet is fully functional, the constant threat of delistings will be behind us.

Hello, Arg has had many life changes. I ask no questions and help Sonic when I can.

For anyone wanting to sync the chain, I have made a new bootstrap current as of today, block 1096380.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rWObF4xz1YdWF1Yi1jU0xfZWc/view?usp=sharing

Given that the network seems to have only 2 nodes, I will set up 2 more nodes to ensure the network is live at all times.

The first is

Code:
addnode=4cubkmey352kxkbh.onion

I will set up a second soon.

In case anyone has been following, a semi-critical architecture dependent signature exploit has been found that can cause the chains of many cryptocurrencies to fork. I learned of this exploit only two or three days ago and have been researching it and determining the best fix, which seems to come from Peercoin.

I have updated github with the fix to this exploit and have been running tests.

https://github.com/StealthSend/Stealth/commit/e18175fe125b196d9bb1f25d3234f7eef3759b9f

In addition to patching this exploit, I fixed some longstanding synchronization issues, which I will be testing over the next couple of days.

https://github.com/StealthSend/Stealth/commit/540f745c4924f0c98661bf0cfeac85fbc48e8533

I will have new builds available within a day, but they may not be signed by CryptoCertify. Since release is timely, I won't wait on the code signatures. As soon as the signed builds are available, I'll replace the unsigned builds with the signed builds. This could take as long as 5 days. The issue with CryptoCertify code signing is my own mistake. I did not know I needed to manually approve the signing cert after it was re-issued. Because I missed the window of approval, I had to restart the issuance process. It may take several days before I can approve the cert and sign the builds.

When syncronization testing is done, I will issue an alert so that block explorers and exchanges update to the new sources (version 2.0.2.0). This alert will be issued within a day.

A description of the forking bug can be found here:

In the last couple of days, I've gotten two reports of users having difficulty syncing. It may be because two seed nodes were down for a few days. They are back up and synced without any problems.

I have also updated the bootstrap file. If you have trouble syncing, follow the bootstrap instructions in the OP.

Is XST being forked? I strongly believed XST is being forked as two of my wallets hardly stake, most are just question marks and difficulty keep dropping. Hey team please check into this? Thanks

You can't tell whether you are on a fork if you are getting orphaned stakes (question marks). Those are normal. Usually, if you have a hard time staking, it means the network is strong. Someone with a big wallet probably opened it after a long time and started minting all the blocks for a few hours. The best way to tell whether something is wrong with the network is to look at your connections. The number will stabilize after one day. Make a note of how many you have. If those are stable, given a consistent network connection and open wallet, then there is likely no fork.

The StealthCoin network has been running smoothly for over a year now.

SonicWALL.MobileConnect_cw5n1h2txyewy was the file that I found that seemed to be the sonic wallet? then I put the bootstrap into the SystemAppData folder and the wallet is still out of sync. what am I doing wrong?

SonicWALL.MobileConnect_cw5n1h2txyewy is not the wallet.

You need to find your user appdata folder, not the system appdata folder.

What version of windows are you running?

As a supporter of SSD from the day it launched i have watched it go from a great coin to a dead coin. sad really as i had alot of hope for ssd, but keeping all the announcements on a private forums like slack is bad in general and due to life commitments only being able to work half an hour on the coin is just not good enough for the coin to survive. it sad but oh well.

I see a theme reading through these quotes: holders want more involvement from the developer and the developer should bring more people into the fold. But here is a story. Arg was elected to serve on the Blocknet board, as an unpaid volunteer board member. To replace himself as a coin representative, he tried to recruit a person to spend about 1 hour per week to passively attend a skype meeting. For minimal participation, this individual would not be required to say anything but simply answer for roll call and maybe say goodbyes at the end. Arg couldn't find anyone to do it. No one.

It takes a community to build a coin where there is absolutely no financial gain for the developer. However, when it comes to brass tacks, it's very hard to find that community. Most users will "support" the coin with cheer leading when the price is high and chide the developer when the price is low. But to get any effort is impossible. You have a forum here. It's not moderated. You have a developer with a year-old coin who is in slack at this moment and who is also reviewing a pull request at this moment, but you have nothing but complaints.

Instead, ask yourself: what can you do to help? Here is what I did tonight for this coin: https://github.com/SonicScrew/SonicScrewdriver/pull/1/files

Can anyone tell me why my wallet isn't auto syncing? I tried putting the bootstrap into my program files in the same folder as the program data>SSD folder next to the launcher shortcut. I'm trying to get into this but I can't seem to figure this out.

Move the bootstrap file to your application data directory for Sonic. It must be in the "Sonic" directory.

Yes, arg is working on the bootstrap and instructions for everyone. Hondo posted the bootstrap in slack and arg is working threw the orphan blocks.

I'm sorry for the confusion. I made this bootstrap several days ago. I thought Arg, the lead dev, would post it, but I don't think he was aware of it. Here's the link:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rWObF4xz1YdWF1Yi1jU0xfZWc/view?usp=sharing

Simply stop your client, unzip the file, and place the unpacked bootstrap.dat in your Sonic data directory. Then start up again. It may take up to two hours to sync.

It will get you to block 476,442.

The md5 hash of the unpacked bootstrap.dat is 8bf6f7a20e84a113a84095fea495b088

I'm interested to know if anyone is having trouble with syncing from the bootstrap file. Today I found a very rare issue at block 304489. It looks like there is a normal orphan in the chain, but it is not being interpreted as an orphan by the bootstrap validation code. Instead, the validation code appears to want to keep this orphan as the main chain and orphan the rest of the blocks, leaving the user to sync about 50k blocks from the network.

I'm working to resolve this issue. It may be due to my source for the bootstrap file in that all my nodes have the same strange orphan at 304489. But if anyone is still having a problem, please PM StealthDevs (not StealthSend) and your message will get to me. I generally log in as StealthDevs when I check the thread. This is a very rare problem that has happened once in over 350,000 blocks. But I'd still like to get it resolved in the best way.

this trouble sound to be happening to people who using old bootstrap correct? the new bootstrap should fix this problem? also, if our current wallet is synced ok then this trouble should be ignore? thanks

Yes, this problem is only for new users who are syncing for the first time with the bootstrap. At this point, it should not affect many people.

Apologies for the Alerts: Everything Is OK!

I thought it would be safe to test the alert system tonight, but it looks as if a bug exists in this system. You will probably see many, many annoying popups. I terribly regret each popup you have to close. However each of those popups represents my trying to track down this bug. I believe I have fixed it (an explanation for the curious is below). The fix will be available in the release candidate (last closed source release) which I should have ready in a couple of days. In the meantime, I'm going to put up an alert that explains the alerts. I don't know what else to do. Again my apologies.

I realize that it has been a long time with this new wallet. But, in polishing up the revised Qt, I felt like I would do something that I wish other developers did: fix things before they add new things that don't work 100%. I'm tracking every bug great and small that I can find in this wallet, and fixing each of them. Each bug I find can take from a few minutes to about a week to fix, so it has required some time. Fixing bugs is vastly more time consuming than one might expect. Hopefully the user experience will be much more satisfying than if I added simply many bells and whistles that were not fully debugged.

Alert bug description for the curios

An alert can cancel any other alert but not itself or else it can't be broadcast. If it can't be broadcast, it can't cancel other alerts. This is a classic chicken-egg problem. I fixed it so the last alert remains active so that it can cancel other alerts, but the gui is not notified if an alert effectively "cancels" itself. I'm surprised this has not been fixed in the StealthCoin lineage, but I believe that is because few coin developers actually use the alert system.

More words from Devs here please.Me and new investors dont care about slack. Smiley

I've fixed 22 wallet bugs since the last beta release. This was a complete Qt re-design that we outsourced to a non-cyrpto Qt dev. He left some bugs related to his not understanding fully how the wallet should function as well as some bugs specific to different platforms. I have eight bugs left in the queue right now. I see those bugs being completed early next week, at which point I'll make a "release candidate". When the release candidates test without bugs, I'll make a full release and open the source.

We have about eight or nine beta testers who have been extremely helpful. You were invited to join the beta testers, but I'm not sure you ever did. The invitation is still open to you as far as I'm concerned.

There are no secrets in development. PM me through slack and I'll give you the best answer I can. If I say I don't know when something will be done, it means that I don't know how long it will take me. Right now I'm focusing on the redesigned wallet with Sascha, whom I consult on every level of design.

Hondo and XST team thank you for effort and this result. It was worth to wait.
XST, the coin of 2015.

I love this wallet but sync is terrible...

This is because TOR network.
Just download the full blockchain below.

If you need help to install the blockchain, just write here

I synced a fresh data directory with the bootstrap file today, just to see what to expect.

This is a 2006 macbook pro, so it's pretty slow.

1. It hung for a while at 71% filling the key pool. This is normal. Newer computers will pause briefly here. This is a computationally expensive task.
2. Checking the bootstrap.dat hung (again normally) at 91%. For my computer, it took about 1.5 hours. For newer computers, it will take 30 to 45 minutes at this step.

I watched the debug.log on both and everything proceeded normally. It synced automatically and quickly grabbed 17 peers--and that's behind a NAT router. It didn't require any restarts to get fully synced and integrated iwth the network.

Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology
by

OK first let me thank all who care about this coin. Due to the fact that I see no experienced dev come forward to take over the code and people expressed their opinions to release the source code, I released it now at github
https://github.com/supercoinproject/supercoin-p2p

So we have an open source now, anyone can maintain and continue developing it. I developed the p2p anonymous system with multisig technologies in a little more than a month time, it was an exciting and intense month that I spent a lot time developing the code and testing. A few people helped me testing the code, especially supercointeam, and with whom we supported the supercoin community for many months. The code works very smoothly, though it still have many aspects to be enhanced which I will list below for the potential future developers.

It was fun and exciting with supercoin. We have many great supporters, also enough fudders. I still see sometimes people doubt if the code is real. Imagine this, how can I put fake things inside that can work so flawlessly? and with dynamic log messages that everyone can use the console and see? There are so many dumb people in this domain, and so few people who really understand the technologies.

Now the code is public, please review the code (well for those who really know the code, otherwise it will be tough for you... very tough). If you have issues with the code, please use debugger, you will understand it better. I may come back from time to time to check the comments and questions, but as I am busy, I won't reply unless it is really needed.

For the future developers, please note that the p2p anonymous code with multisig is done in about one month time, therefore while I ensure the main scenarios working fine, there are some codes I haven't got time to complete, this is mainly in the domain of error handling and reverting back the transaction, this should be easy to add (though it could be tedious) based on the existing code. Another potential issues is the out of sequence messages. I handled many such cases during my tests, all occurred scenarios are handled. But due to the potential high number of combinations, in rare case there may still be some potential cases due to out of sequence messages that the transaction may fail.

Anyway, have fun with the code, and if you understand it well, you can copy-paste to another coin. But doing so only if you understand the code, since it is complex code. I'd be really sad if you copy-paste the code but don't know how to handle issues when they occur  Grin

Thanks for SuperCoin! It inspired StealthCoin.

I asked people on slack to post some info from there here.
I have heard nothing about what is going on in slack.

What about the BLOCK fiasco? What is Hondo's position?

StealthCoin joined BlockNet as a technical partner; to be a member coin that would support a distributed API. This API has been dubbed XBridge. We did not join to participate in the ITO and had no knowledge of an ITO when we agreed to become a member coin of the Blocknet.

After this agreement, Dan Metcalf and a few others released an ITO for an asset on Next Horizons. All facets of the ITO were organized by members of XC and NHZ, by my limited understanding. The funds from the ITO are in their control. No one from XST has received nor asked for any funds from this ITO, nor have any interest in doing so at the moment. No one from XST conceived of or executed the Blocknet ITO in any way. If there are aspects of the ITO of which I am uncertain, it's because XST was not involved in the ITO's conception or management.

Furthermore, as a member of the BlockNet technical community, I suggested, along with a few others, that BlockNet form a panel to approve any expenditures, with approval requiring a majority vote plus one. Additionally, we suggested multiparty escrow of these funds to minimize the potential for any misappropriation. I believe our suggestions will contribute to BlockNet accountability if these suggestions are adopted.

If offered any BlockNet ITO funds for merely participating, the XST team would reject them. Moreover, we will not apply for funds from the ITO until the legal status of BlockNet as an organization is fully determined.

Finally, the BlockNet community is composed of the lead devs from many exceptional coins. So I do consider it a "super team" where collaborations can start and ideas exchanged. This opinion relates to the Blocknet as the technical coalition that XST agreed to join, not as a business entity that has conducted an ITO.

Any ideas?

Where did you get this build? Our official, signed, builds are not compiled against the Visual C++ libraries.

If you didn't compile this wallet yourself or it doesn't bear the CryptoCertify signature, do not run it.

Hi Everyone,

Our slack channel (https://stealthcoin.slack.com/) has become such a success in terms of interfacing with the community, that I didn't realize that I haven't posted here in a while. Also, to be honest, I couldn't follow the old thread because of the volume. I realize that as a consequence I have lost my habit of checking the bitcointalk thread often, which I regret. This new moderated thread is much more manageable, admittedly at the sacrifice of much of the color that made the old thread so entertaining.

I'll try in earnest to start checking here more regularly and provide more regular updates.

As everyone may be aware, the new wallet is nearing completion. Intentionally or not, this wallet represents an entire new codebase. We recruited a very talented developer to create a complete re-design, based on the work of our lead designer, Sascha Pahlke of Pahlke Media (http://www.pahlkemedia.de/). He interfaces very closely with our Qt programmer, so the wallet is true to the design and interface standards set by Sascha. The wallet will probably be released within two weeks. This new wallet probably represents the most extensive redesign of a crypto wallet since the original bitcoin wallet was originally released.

In terms of my own efforts, I have spent a lot of time interfacing with the developers from BlockNet. We are really beginning to form a sort of crypto mega-team, with the generation of a lot of ideas. From these ideas, I have begun to work on crypto-2.0 technologies that will soon go into StealthCoin, to ensure that it is ready for fee-based layered services. These services should integrate well with BlockNet's XBridge interface and stay true BlockNet's goal of hosting revenue-generating services.

I have also been working on solidifying how to secure an anonymous blockchain using proof of stake. I formerly thought this would be impossible or require very expensive zero knowledge proofs, but I have recently learned of new staking methods that should make it possible. I'm very excited about this possibility, although I'm going to be careful not to elaborate too much in public.

I'll close by saying that I'm glad to be back, even though our community on the slack channel knows that I never really left.
