Re: when is bitcoin gold coming ? Y all Alts deep red

How do we actually get our BTC Gold coins after 10/25?  I didn't hold any BTC during the BCH fiasco.

To get bitcoin gold you should keep your btc 25 October at your own wallet which allows to export private keys. After 1st November you will need to import them to official BTG wallet.

Does the bitaddress paperwallet work?

Re: Amazon May Accept Bitcoin By October. Do you believe?
by

on 27/09/2017, 07:28:02 UTC
It does not make sense for Amazon to adopt BTC at the moment for the following reasons:
- Failure in implementation has high (negative) impact on customer satisfaction
- Adoption rate of BTC is to small to create any reasonable additional revenue for Amazon
- Resources spent on implementation can be spent to improve the business model somewhere else where a higher ROI is possible

It will take out the gambling from the ICO process which is a good thing. Assuming that an acc. investor at least works through the whitepaper of a coin and understands the basics of investing, risk management and the underlying technology he is investing in.

For me it seems that Vitalik does not really care about money. I am happy for me, he found his passions and is really good at it.

That post was written when BTC was down by more than 60% from USD 1180,-. Right now we're down by maybe 25%. Will you stay as confident when we drop down to USD 2k,-? Easier said than done! Wink

The money I have invested into cryptos is not needed and I have wrote it off. So any meltdown does not bug me and is also a good training for any kind of stock market meltdown because the majority of my wealth is invested in ETFs. Also there were no events or information published concerning cryptos that would have changed my investment thesis ...

Re: Bitcoin: $100K in 2021?
by
Stelfox
on 07/09/2017, 09:42:30 UTC
100k Is a number which is just too high. I am sure bitcoin hold a lot of potential and in time we will see the true value, but that will be something more in the range of 10k/20k instead of 100k.
100k means the cap would be higher then many countries total BBP.

Certain companies - think apple / alphabet - have a higher market cap than the BBP of some countries ...

Is it really necessary to look for new coins? I do not think so. Established coins offer still a lot of growth potential while becoming household names. Even after ~10 years of crypto we are still at the beginning of a mega trend, wait till the general public starts buying cryptos like they buy stocks.

$100k per BTC would mean a market cap somewhere around USD 1,65 tn which is rougly the market cap of apple, alphabet and microsoft combined. I believe that it is (technically) possible to achieve though there might be a danger by discruption through a new coin or technology.
