I'll check why you didn't get the compensation email. We'll ship your miner as well.
I apologize for the honest mistake.

Regards,
Guy

I appreciate your apology.

I knew something was wrong based on where I am in the order chain and that so many have at least received the compensation email. I trust that you will now ship the miner ASAP? Given that you have mistakenly not shipped my order in it's rightful position in the queue.

I await tracking information.

EDIT: And possibly some extra comp given the time I have lost mining Tongue ... wishful thinking? A couple of days hosted mining would go a long way here.

@Stevbenson,

You've contacted us with regard to cancellation of your order and full refund. We've written back and waiting you reply.
If you want your order shipped, let us know and we'll ship it.

Thanks,
Guy

You want your whole last email quoted here it is

"Hi Steve,

Our customer service department has started contacting each customer with regard to the compensation plan and will contact you in that regard soon.

We have started shipping the Group Buy units today and all units are expected to be shipped on time before the end of the month.

The SP30 under current spec is still an excellent unit but should you chose to cancel your order we will refund you in USD. All refunds will be paid out in October as we are still setting up our systems to manage the transfers correctly.

Should you choose to cancel your order please let us know ASAP as this is only possible before we ship the unit. Once the unit is shipped we can no longer process the cancellation request.

Best Regards,

Gadi "

I don't know where it says that it's ready to go pending my reply.

In fact it clearly states that you will contact me soon regarding the details of the compensation...Still waiting for that email!

Yes I still want the miner if its ready to go then by all means ship it out right now I'll take the 18% cash refund you have offered others.

Thankyou.

Sorry not going to post my TXID here. I can give you the date: Date: 03/05/2014 08:13. Hope that info helps.

3/5 Mine was the on the 27/4 (you can look up my TXID if you don't believe me) And you got your miner already?

WTF Spondoolies! Shipping way out of order!

That was full payment. Not placeholder payment sorry I should have clarified.

Date: 22/04/2014 10:29 is when I put in my deposit. Which if I am not mistaken is when the order was set for shipping the GB not on full payment as it was a non-refundable deposit.

Thanks for the clarification Bick I withdraw my shenanigans from SPTech... for the moment... I am still greatly sceptical that they will ship them all by the end of the week given the number of orders behind me.

Anyone else who got a miner or tracking want to post their TXID or placeholder/deposit date would be greatly appreciated Smiley

Also @ Whooper: It is clearly stated in the group buy that shipping order is based on the order of the reservation TXID. I have this confirmed to me by Roadstress in the original PM's from the GB too.

I'm not talking tracking mate... I haven't even been notified about comp options...

Also they repeatedly stated in this thread that the GB would be shipped this week... Do I need to go back and quote it?

EDIT: Bad typos...

When you get the compensation letter shipping letter soon follows.

Wish you speed in reception of both.

I really really hope you are right Bick... The thing is though if you look at the TXID's of the GB I would be roughly half way through...

There are roughly 50 orders with approx. 100 units in front of me and roughly 70 orders for 130 units BEHIND me (Not including the 185 unit whale that we have been told was practically the only one to not pay the full amount)

So they haven't even shipped half the GB yet...

Edit:
This is my TXID if you want to confirm what I am saying

e00c8e0e7dbc4e1ecf47a6ebca8574dcabc1f75e12eb6483f6d338edef1084eb

Anyone who has received a miner or tracking number please post the TXID of your original deposit so we can see where they really are with their orders

Hmmm ya like I posted before be best if they provide a 2 or 3 day window to narrow down when things ship. Not just a before the 31st. When I originally paid I calculated it out based on the info RoadStress and SPtech provided in the thread and it was between the 20th to 25th range given the project production numbers they quoted then. Mine shipped 27th arrived 28th. They have the skills sets to set customers with a much more specific shipping date but I suspect they want to make sure of under promise over deliver.

My feeling is you will get refund notice in before the end of August and shipping will follow rapidly. Can always ask for more compensation if you get your unit in hand post August. That is well within our rights as customers and I dare say that SPTech given their record will listen and consider such a claim with professionalism.

Sorry not going to post my TXID here. I can give you the date: Date: 03/05/2014 08:13. Hope that info helps.

Order #127X.
Got my tracking info.
Hope they get to Washington by Friday!

WTF!

I am #121X and I still have not even got the email regarding the compensation... forget about tracking... um order queue much?
how quickly did you pay?

I transferred the full amount the day after the 0.1BTC deposit was paid. Not sure how many days it took to end up in their account.

That should not matter anyway! It was made very clear in the GB that the shipping queue would be in the order of the 0.1 BTC deposit that was sent to Roadstress not when the full amount cleared.

Come on ST are you shipping out of order?!? And still no email in regards to compensation or shipping yet... Am I like the last person from the GB they are going to contact?

Can someone please say clearly what the compensation or refund option for the group buy is. I still have not been contacted about it.

Main question is the comp/refund in dollars or in bitcoin?

Cheers
We'll contact you this week. It takes times to go over the orders.
If you'll select partial refund for the missing GH/s, the refund will be in $

And if I select full refund will this be in dollars or bitcoin?

Aslo there are no news about compensation they promised 3 weeks ago. I, also cannot understand why there is such a big deal with announcing this important for us information. Do they have some sort of financial difficulties which make them so undecisive what kind of compensation package they shuld offer to us, so they postpone it as long as they can?

Compensation was promised for October so any news will be just news and nothing else.

I think it's pretty obvious he wasn't expecting the compensation now rather... "What compensation package they should offer us"

I also think they should announce this already the SP30 is preforming 20% under hashpower and for the vast majority of buyers they were already looking at a less than 20% ROI with the original specs. Without adequate compensation the SP30 is definitely a loosing bet... it will never ROI...

Even if you got your GB SP30 today (probably wont show up at your house for another two weeks) and difficulty increased by only 15% it will mine about 8 bitcoins in it's usable life since it cost about 10 at the time of the GB, that's a loss of 20% (Not even including the power/hosting costs)... Now you see why the compensation is critical to this 'investment' paying off or not?

That's why it would be good to have some news now... I'm sure it would put at ease all those GB customers that have now lost bitcoin on the SP30 venture (pretty much everyone).

Before someone says why don't you just email Spondoolies, I have more than once and no reply.

Can someone please explain the Spondoolies shipping queue to me... My current understanding is...

August Batch 1
Roadstress GB
August Batch 2

Now people have been told that the GB will ship between 15th-30th of August. How can they ship the GB as late as the 30th if there was an August batch 2 that succeeded it?

Are they shipping Batch 2 before the GB or are they shipping Batch 2 late?

Cheers,

It could be the GB is part of Batch 2.

Ok even if you count the GB as the START of Batch 2 it still dosen't make sense for them to start shipping it on the 30th and not come out late with some of Batch 2/GB. I mean there was close to 400 units in the GB and we have no idea how many were sold after that under the name August Batch 2... Since they allowed up to 1100 units to be purchased in the GB I imagine the shortfall was made up after the GB closed under the name August Batch 2.

Do you think it is plausible that they will ship 400-1100 units in two days if they start shipping the GB/Batch 2 on the 30th?

400-1100 units is easy to ship in two days.

Isn't most of the GB for colocation or a nice chunk of it, pallets can be shipped / moved to the data center quickly. 200-300 units can be shipped in a matter of minutes on pallets.  I've never received smaller than a pallet except for a single SP10 if they ship them individually its a simple software program that will print one label for each miner on order that isn't a pallet, slap a label on a box and wait for it to be picked up.

Boxing them is very quick.

Yeah....that's just the shipping part.... but what about building them?

Spondoolies has droned on before that they build test and ship a unit in a 24Hr period, that they don't hold onto it longer than that mining from themselves if this is true the building rate must match the shipping rate.

So since the start of August 20 days ago if they are building/shipping at that rate they must have produced 20*(400 to 1100) units or 8000-22000 SP-30's

That's a total Hashrate of 4500Gh/s*(8000 to 22000) or 36 - 99 Ph/s

Since August the entire network has risen by ~ 40Ph/s

So if they are producing 400 per day then they account for the all the hardware deployed in the month of August (totally ridiculous considering all the other manufactures specifically Bitmain pumping out the S3's)

And to pretend that they have been making 1100 per day is crazy as there simply hasn't been that much Hashrate deployed in the whole network since the start of August.

EDIT: Just realised that Spond's quoted just now they are making 50-100 units per day

SO how can they ship all 400-1100 units from GB/August batch 2 if they start shipping of the 30th?

Halfway through August! When will they start shipping this GB?  Undecided

Surely they must have some idea by now when they can start shipping it... It was in the first August batch after all...

Are you two days ahead of the rest of us? Halfway is the 15th not the 13th Roll Eyes

Thanks for sharing your email. However it's not particularly useful as it is already the 15th and if they were to ship after the 30th it would no longer be in August... I had kind of already assumed this...

Now to address your needless sarcasm...

Let me guess you are an American?

I guess this because it is generally those from the most self obsessed nation on the planet that fail to realise that it is a different date and time at different places on the planet "Gasp!".

I'm sure that this will come as a surprise to you but I posted that at about 10AM of the 14th in my time zone. I know I was a whole 14hrs before it was halfway through the month (according to you). Seriously who fucking cares it's basically halfway through... why must you be such a fucking pedantic arsehole?

I mean do you really think people will read your post a think 'wow that guy he's seriously smart pointing out its not precisely halfway through the month, how clever!'.

The point remains it's approximately halfway through the month and they haven't stated when they will start shipping. Since there are two batches in August and this GB was in the first batch I think they should announce that by now... Also if they do wait until the 30th (as they say they might in your email) to start shipping this GB then it would mean the august batch 2 will not be on time or it got shipped out ahead of these GB orders. Neither of those things are good...

Sincerest apologies for the sarcasm :p You need to get a thicker skin if you are going to get involved in this game, truly, if a tiny bit of tongue in cheek smartarsery gets you this riled up.

Seriously though, you could at least wait till the 15th, which is when they have been telling most people who care to ask them, when the GB will ship. Its also middle of the month, which really was a day away. I only posted the email to hint that you could have just asked them yourself Cheesy

Although I can see why you might be upset if you thought that the group buy was in the first batch.

My understanding all along has been that the Roadstress GB was not in the first August batch, so depending on your order number you will be sometime between the 15th and the 30th, as will I.

And no I'm not an American or even in America, you post was at 11:40PM on August 13 in my time zone, which is only 2 hours ahead of Israel time zone. Just bear that in mind on August 15th that your about 8 hours ahead when you throw your toys out of your pram once more you bogan Wink

Lol I am a bit of a bogan aren't I... and I am riled up but I have misplaced my anger towards you, your sarcasm just tipped me over the edge. Sorry for swearing at you.

Also I have emailed Spondoolies for estimated shipping dates twice... no responses... I'm asking people here because they have ignored me.

Ok so if the GB is not part of batch one it must still be before batch two as I am positive that they did not start advertising batch two until the GB had ended.

So that means the GB must come after batch one but before batch two. I still don't see how they can be shipping your GB unit on the 30th and then still have time to ship batch two?

Now my rant...

I know this account is new but I have been at this for quite some time and have dealt with multiple ASIC manufacturers and you know what when something goes wrong it's always the customer that get's shafted.

This whole fiasco with the sp30 reminds me a lot of what happened with cointerra. They failed to deliver on their specs by a similar margin, they however did the right thing and offered refunds... unfortunately for them ALOT of people refunded and they ran out of money and it pretty much destroyed their reputation when they couldn't pay all the refunds, some had to wait many many months. But it was the right thing to do to offer a refund.

Spondoolies isn't offering a refund but rather a vague promise of a partial refund some time in October...

I'm just sick of these ASIC companies and their bullshit, if they wanted to fix their reputation they would at least be transparent about the shipping.

How many units do they ship a day?
How many units until your order number?
Equals many days until your order ships.

To work out an approximate date is not fucking rocket science Its just adding! Not replying to emails or telling you sometime between 15th-30th is unacceptable. I mean that's half the fucking month, we already know it has to be some time in august, they may as well have just told you nothing!

IF we ever get a partial refund then they might be able to say they have screwed their customers slightly less than cointerra did... Until then they are shipping greatly underspecced units with no refund and no compensation that's the reality. Nobody should be 'pleased' with this situation.

Even if we ever get the comp spondoolies have said its based on the $/Gh but what about the W/Gh? Its gone from 0.46W(still in the title of this thread) to 0.67W, ~50% increase! This greatly effects the profitable lifetime of the device because power is NOT free. I saw lots of people raise this point on the main spondoolies thread but they were all ignored.

Of course this wouldn't be a problem if they just did the right thing and offered refunds but they won't do that because they know they will have too many refunds and it will destroy their company just like cointerra.

So even though Cointerra fucked over their customers at least they did the moral thing they risked their business to offer refunds when they failed. Spondoolies won't even take this risk, it's shameful really.

To anyone who thinks the compensation will make up for the under delivered specs. YOU ARE DREAMING! If Sponds had the money to make us all whole then they would just offer refunds plain and simple. What we MIGHT get is PARTIAL compensation but we will NOT be made WHOLE.

Rant over.

Ghash is back to 33%, you can go back to sleep now, nothing to see here.

They are hiding their real power.

I think the 51% we witnessed was a demonstration of power. I do not know for what reason.

They could have blocked miners as to keep their hash rates down as they did before, but they didn't.

I would say that GHash has MUCH more than 51%.

That being said, I do have some of my miners pointed at them.

EDIT: On the subject, NO, I don't believe that BTC is decentralized anymore.
In fact, the fact that we depend on the core dev team for anything means it is centralized, and from what I understand the core dev team is under the TBF orders.
Apart from that BTC mining is completely centralized.

WTF man! You think they have over 51% and you still point miners at them... Where is your logic?!?
