Soon I hope to start playing only blockchain-based games; I think there will be enough of them out, soon. It makes my gaming accomplishments feel more real

right? also doesn't it feel like you're more in control of the game knowing that you actually own the assets and can do with them whatever you want, and that you have a cryptogaming community that is solid?. I recently joined a bunch of cryptogaming groups on telegram and they're all so nice and welcoming, whereas when I play on fortnite or pubg its only people insulting each other haha

I agree with both of you. It would be much more life like in sense of owning things.. as a matter of fact.. even better in terms of asset owning like limited ones.
for example imagine this.. owning a car in an online multiplayer game something like Need For Speed. All the modifications and car models can range from legendary to common and limited. even the game devs themselves cannot introduce an inflation in the assets.

On the point of community, yeah trust me when i say i have been to the very top and back in competitive scene, kids are keyboard warriors. Its their way of letting steam away. No one should take it serious.
At this point blockchain gaming is new and hasnt penetrated deep into the gaming scene. Thats what our objective is with such initiatives.

BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN GAMING = HUGE POTENTIAL!

yeah and imagine you were able to take your car from Need for Speed and take it to another different game like GTA for example... cause blockchain actually allows interoperability of games, how cool would that be?!

I've already used the SaruTobi card in Spells of Genesis Cheesy

that's amazing! how's Spells of Genesis? I've seen a lot of people talk about it in the cryptogaming telegram groups I'm at

I'm interested in blockchain games, and like to fiind out interesting websites, pages! Now I want sharing a good fb page with you (@blockchaingamegames)Grin, this page usually introduce the popular crypto games and related websites, it very useful! If you find some good websites, please share with me too, thank you!
https://www.facebook.com/blockchaingamegames/

Hey Katekate! Can you tell me more about this blockchain games? And how does it become very useful? This blockchain games really did caught my interest.

Hey if you're interested in blockchain games you should definitely check the websites mentioned above, they're really helpful if you're looking for new games to play.

And blockchain games are mainly games that are powered by blockchain technology, like cryptokitties, 0xUniverse, Gods Unchained, Knights of EOS, and Stick Cricket (coming soon). Here's an excerpt from a blog post I wrote not too long ago about the benefits of blockchain for the gaming industry:

There are many ways in which Blockchain will change the gaming industry for the better, but we know people on the internet have the attention span of a goldfish so let's just discuss the main concepts that, in our opinion, will have the most significant impact:

Asset Ownership

Traditionally, the assets bought or earned in-game don’t belong to the gamer, but to the game publisher. Those assets are licensed to the player by the publisher, but if the gamer stops playing or deletes the app, the assets are gone forever. With blockchain, all those assets belong 100% to the gamer. For example, imagine you’re playing our new Stick Cricket game, if you buy or win a cricket bat, that item will go to your wallet, and you’ll be the only one able to use it. You will be able to sell it, trade it, loan it, customise it or do whatever you feel like doing with it, and we, as the publisher, can’t do anything about it.

Interoperability of gaming environments

Since you’re now the sole owner of your in-game items, you can take them to other blockchain based games and use them there. For example, you have a super cute cat that you bred in Cryptokitties, and you’d like to show it off to your Stick Cricket opponents, with blockchain you’re able to do that. And this works for pretty much any blockchain enabled game.

Open marketplace

Traditional games have a set of rules and restrictions when it comes to trading or transferring items from player to player. Blockchain allows us to create an open market in which users are the ones who set their own rules. And the best thing is, they can sell whatever they want there. If they want to offer cricket bat polishing or coaching services, they’re totally allowed to.

Rewards for players and developers

Game publishers can reward players with tokens that can be used to buy more items or to pay for game services in the marketplace. The more you play, the more tokens you’ll get. On the other hand, developers can also get a reward by contributing to the development of the game. They can add new game features or build things within the game, and get rewarded for it.

Thank you StickSports for giving me a detailed information of blockchain games. It seems like these blockchains games could be the future of gaming. I'm looking forward to it.

no problem Smiley I really think blockchain will improve the gaming industry and change the way we play (and consume) games, so I'm always trying to get the word out and tell people how they can benefit from it haha if you ever want to start playing any cryptogame and want some recs, just let me know!

They will not be alive for so long I am sure, such project is not strong to be successful in the case of the profitability's level. I think it will be better to find another one for investing.

If you think of cryptogames as a source of profit then you will definitely not be happy with the end result. At the end of the day, those are games and they're meant to be played, rather than just speculating with and expecting to get rich off them.

crypto gaming is a great source of entertainment but lot of us still don't know this.

i'm so excited for the future of cryptogaming and i really can't wait for people to get more interested in this! Right now the people interested in cryptogaming are mainly trying to make a profit out of it and i think the concept goes way beyond profit... I mean it's obviously nice to be able to cash out what you spend/earn in game, but there's other aspects of cryptogaming that are worth focusing on, like interoperability of gaming environments and peer-to-peer marketplaces for example

Hi!

I was searching for a list of blockchain based games to make some investments into them as they gonna be hype in 2018, but hadn't found anything useful.

So I did some research and post it at reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/BlockchainGame/comments/7oi21o/daily_updated_table_list_of_blockchain_based_games/

If there will be need, I could move all collected information to this forum (the only thing it will be hard to save table formatting, since I'd used custom css).

I had posted it here, cause most of them are Ethereum based.

Feedback and comments appreciated.

Hey I came across your list not so long ago on Reddit, nice to see you here as well!! Would love to know which games are you guys currently playing? I can't seem to find an established cryptogaming community here on B

I use these sources too. You can also check https://gameunculus.io/

GameUnculus is great as well! thx for sharing! Are you currently playing any cryptogame? If so, what's your fave?

Your list is quite comprehensive already, but I'm thinking of:
Age of chains (bitcoin)
Hash Puppies (NEO)
Laserchain (Waves)

You can check Blockchaingamer's directory: https://www.blockchaingamer.biz/blockchain-games-directory/
I also like GameUnculus and Dapp.com to find new games

The idea to combine gaming industry with blockchain sounds very cool. I especially enjoyed watching this video on the matter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywvTIM_eOVI. The author says that we shouldn't be using blockchain in gaming industry solely for the purpose of monetizing it and essentially making it an interactive version of crypto trading. Blockchain can be implemented anywhere, where chronology and specifics of changes with any type of data is crucial. I loved an example he provided, that blockchain could be used in RPG for providing a history of weapon's ownership and making its level higher due to the real battles it was used in.
This Summit seems to be a serious platform for people to exchange thoughts and form partnerships. I hope some not monetization-oriented projects will be present there as well.

I loved that video and the guy really does a great job of explaining everything in simple terms. Blockchain and gaming for me are like a match made in heaven but right now the cryptogaming industry is really lacking good, playable and fun games... there's a bunch of games that are kinda alright, like 0xUniverse, but IMO they still focus too much on the collectables aspect instead of the gaming side. At the end of the day, games are games, and if they're not fun to play, have good features and a stable storyline they just get boring! I don't want to be breeding and trading cryptokitties for life haha

How will blockchain change the gaming industry?
by
StickSports

I think there are many more reasons but here are the ones I believe will have the most impact, what do you guys think? Would love to hear your thoughts on this and meet other cryptogamers!
