Right, I mean, I always knew that you could force it that way, but for some reason I thought that claymore would be updated as well. I'm an idiot.

Does ethos-update really not update the installed mining software?

Just want to get this out there - I've purchased 6x licenses so far, and have used them to monitor rigs. 99% of the time, when I don't change anything, the software is awesome. But when I go in and change something as simple as a wallet address in the remote config, things go haywire. I live an hour from where my rigs sit and I had to drive out and spend five hours figuring out why ethermine started rejecting all shares. It's definitely a love-hate relationship.

If I have the old wallet, send all my ITNS to stocks.exchange, will I be able to install the new wallet and send from stocks.exchange with no problems? I mined a few thousand back in August and forgot about it - something was wrong with my wallet file, but somehow it worked today, and I'd like to preserve it.

A related (and not trolling) question... I just tried out hsrminer on a Windows 10 machine with a single GTX 1080 and Neoscrypt went from around 1040 kH/s with ccminer-klaust to 1230 kH/s - a sizable improvement more than worth the devfee. However, moving the exact same card over to a Windows 7 machine resulted in an average speed of about 1130 kH/s while ccminer-klaust still does around 1040 kH/s. Granted, hsminer still handily beats ccminer-klaust, but what could cause the drop in hashrate? The Nvidia drivers are the same on both machines, the amount of RAM is the same - 16GB - but the Windows 10 machine has an AMD FX-8300 CPU while the Win7 machine has an AMD Phenom II x4 955 (a generation older).

I'm guessing I need to tweak intensity on the Win7 machine, but it would be nice to know what the current intensity is so I don't have to go through a laborious iterative search.

I too would like some data on intensity settings, if anybody has them.

Would anybody post their experience with this auto-overclock stuff? I've been wondering for a long time why that type of functionality hasn't been available, so I'm really curious how this project has implemented it. I've got a rig of 8x 1060 3GB that would be great for this type of thing.

FWIW, I bought 6x XFX Single Fan 560s last summer and they've paid themselves off - and continue to churn along. I only bought them because nothing cost effective was available, but they've been solid cards.

I've been mining Decred at roughly 2GH/s for nearly a week and nothing has posted. Is that normal?

Yeah last decred block was hit 2w ago.  If you click on decred you can see the latest blocks hit by the pool.  You did get teased with an orphan 28h ago, unfortunately.

Thanks. Guess I'll switch to a different Decred pool. I've still got my Nvidia rig dualmining lbry - is there a better choice?

$22k right now to be a masternode. I'm too poor for that.

That said, love what I've been reading, bought 500 coins, it's already done very well.

Probably a dumb question (never used Asics, only GPU), but would this be able to be used on any coin using scrypt algo? There are many new altcoins using it and I'd love to be able to use a device like this to speculatively mine early while difficulty is lower.

Yes this is what alot of people use USB miners for. This will work with any scypt based coin or pool.

Perfect! OP, I'd love to order 3.

on windows
make 2 bat file

Code:
b2bcoind --config-file configs/b2bcoin.conf

Code:
simplewallet --config-file configs/b2bcoin.conf

I'm honestly not trying to play stupid here - but the download provided by the OP (and the download on the coin's website) doesn't include either b2bcoind or simplewallet. Only walletd. What are you guys downloading?

I'm lost - where is "mysimplewallet"? There is nothing in the "forknote-windows" folder named that in the download in the first post.
