Happy to see how hard you guys have been working. This was one of my favorite VR projects and I've been following you since you first launched. I haven't been too impressed with the VR projects in the space so far, and I am hoping this one is able to become something big. Look forward to trying out the alpha once that is released. I'll stay tuned in here for more updates.

Thank you for the support! We are doing all of this work to be different. We want to set the standard in everything we do, both in crypto and in VR.

Thanks, I'm interested in what you are doing on the VR side in particular though. What are some of the things that the Alpha will include? Will it be available on the Oculus store or Steam?

We do plan to develop a full VR app for all of the relevant platform app stores: PS, Oculus, Rift, and Steam. This app will not be available for the this first Alpha release, but you can 100% expect it in the future.

As for what we are doing on the VR side, the Spectiv VR Alpha V1 will be a fully functional VR streaming platform that will allow users to upload content, view content, create channels/accounts, subscribe, and more. This Alpha V1 will be technologically advanced by industry standards, supporting Rift / Vive VR viewing directly through web browser. This is a feature that is limited based on a browser to browser basis, but it is currently available with Mozilla and we expect Chrome to be available shortly. This is all in addition to our desktop and mobile headset functionalities. We have partnered with several VR content producers who will be porting a wide selection of quality content to this Alpha, and we are excited to share these experiences with our supporters.

I look forward to be being able to use the app in the Oculus store, that would be a pretty big achievement. I've test the Vibehub platform a little, so I'm curious to see how you guys build your VR environment and app. Also definitely excited to be able to enjoy VR in my browser without having to use Bigscreen or something else. It seems like the delay was a good choice, I'll stay active here and will definitely participate in the token sale. I wish I would have known about the pre-sale though...

Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs

I just posted in here a few hours ago because I was pretty excited about VibeHub and seriously thinking about contributing to the token sale. I have recently discovered a huge red flag and I would like an answer from the project owners because it is a serious subject. After discovering the LOOQ Vr scam earlier today, it made we want to research Vibehub a little more in-depth. I have always been impressed with Vibehub's development and their demos in their videos, so I was confident in the team. I own an Oculus Rift and use VR personally, so in my research I wanted to find other apps that might possibly be like VibeHub. I discovered one app called Bigscreen Beta which let's users share experiences in environments, and it came out much earlier than Vibehub plus has investors. I downloaded Bigscreen to test it out and I was shocked when I realized that one of Vibehub's environment is exactly a copy of BigScreen's environment with a couple slight changes. I have included a couple of side/side comparisons below so you can see what I mean. I am hoping there is a good answer for this because I wanted Vibehub to be legit. I am big fan of VR and Vibehub is the only VR crypto I am exicted about right now since Spectiv delayed and I couldn't get into the Decentraland token sale.

...

I was pretty shocked when I discovered this tonight. I was just testing VR apps that seemed to be Vibehub competitors and when I saw this I was reminded of the Vibehub video. Take this for what you want, but it definitely scares me. I do think Vibehub has done a lot of work on their interface and such, but if they copied this, I don't know what else could be copied.

Hello! NO need to be alarmed... All the 3d models and assets used in our beta platform have either been created in house or purchased licensed for use...it is normal practice to purchase stock art or 3d models to help complete projects...that is also just one of many scenes...btw 3d models come with no logic, user interface, networking functionality, animations, voice chat, vibe wallet, ect...All things we have built in house...Our vision is so expansive that one of our first priorities is to expand our team of modelers and animators so we can create 1000's of custom digital assets...We know there are apps that do individual things...thats why we strive to present a one stop shop on one platform...virtual desktop support, 360 videos, social interaction, live and ondemand photorealistic performances...and various marketplaces...im sorry you feel that is a red flag...but again i can assure you purchasing art for projects is common practice...

Thank you for answering my question so fast! Don't get me wrong, as a fan of VR I want to see Vibehub succeed because VR needs more applications and innovation. It was just a bit weird for me to see these environments being the same, especially after identifying Looq as a straight up scam. I'm not a developer at all so I'm not sure about sharing 3d models and purchasing stock pieces, but I will take your word for it. At the same time, I think I will end up passing on the ICO because I am still a bit hesitant. I will continue to follow this project though and may buy coins later on.

Really interested in Voxelus!

I wasn't able to get into the Decentraland ICO because it sold out so quick, but so far it seems legit. I'm a big fan of VR, but my other two VR prospects Spectiv and Vibehub are not looking to good to me right now. Spectiv delayed their token sale 3 months, so who knows if it will actually happen, and I discovered that Vibehub has copied environments from other VR apps. So, VR ICOs are not looking very good for me right now.

I think I will invest some money into Voxelus though because it has been around a long time and has shown proven development. I look forward to being a part of this community and hopefully we can spread VR!

Voxeuls environments look awesome by the way.

Started getting into cryptos a few months ago and I was very interested in all the money I saw being made on ICOs. I researched a few different coins and a couple sparked my interest, but they are proving not be what I thought they could be. Even tonight I spotted two ICOs that might be scams, so it definitely makes me hesitant about investing in ICOs. I'm starting to research coins that have been around awhile and maintained a level of success in crypto, and Dash is one of the one that I am very interested in. I'm currently looking at Dash, Monero, and Steem as my top 3 prospects for longer term holds. What do you guys think?

See the Images below:

You'll see here that Vibehub changes the background from a cityscape to a galaxy thing, but that is basically the only change. Look at the sofa and the wood paneling and the chairs on the deck, it's all identical.

These next two are on the other side of the deck, you can see that they are identical and have the lighting and everything in the same spot. Vibehub only blurred out the windows.

I was a supporter of Spectiv early on, and I still am, but I'm a little worried about the delays. I believe in the project and the team, so I want to see this succeed, but 3 months is a long time in which anything can happen. Due to this I am very hesitant of Spectiv and I think I will be staying out of the token sale until I see some real development.

Just wanted to make a post for everyone to see because I think it is important. I'm a big fan of VR, own an Oculus Rift, and use several VR apps +games. I'm very excited about the Vibehub platform, and I think Spectiv and Decentraland could be interesting as well. I want to offer a warning though about Looq because I strongly believe that it might be a scam. I don't say this to hate on the project because I support any innovation in VR, but LOOQ is blatantly lying about their mock-up.

The Looq mock-up is literally a screenshot of the Oculus Rift store, but they just put the Looq logo in the top header bar. I highly doubt they have any partnerships they mentioned, but I do know that they stole an image of the Oculus Rift store and are trying to pass it on as their own. Plus the team is barely communicating in the thread. Take this for what you want, but please take caution. Below is an image of the Oculus Rift store, notice how it is exactly the same as the "Looq Mock-Up":

Fair enough 8 made an error in calculating and added one zero too many to your coin ask.

However this does not take away that you are still trying to raise $14million for this ICO based on an idea. Also you are planning to hold onto $60million token which if valued the same will be worth $9.6 million. So all in all you will,be potentially in charge of $23.6million... Let's be honest you hope to have operational costs in the future, your negotiations for licensing could stall or hit a wall... what then? Will you return the money...? Nope doubt it.

I don't mean to piss on your ICO but like I said, such greed and money grabbing attempts will make crypto seem like a sham and cause a bubble. If you fail to deliver a working product this will be called a scam. Personally as an investor I would invested if you had your ICO a bit further down your road map when more critical elements of the platform were in the bag. But even then how would I know I can trust your info.

So FOMO will not guide me here...

Given that this ICO bubble will not stop, I hope one day people who do not deliver on their promise will be brought to book and forced to return the funds they collected. After all they are all written to the block chain  Smiley

Thanks for the commentary - your concerns are valid and may be shared by others evaluating different projects.

First and foremost, there is risk associated to ICOs. It is possible that market participants could buy token for a platform which never meets the expectations it set. This is an important point and we are happy people in the community like you are challenging it to make the blockchain a better environment with higher standards. However, this can sometimes serve as a distraction from the bigger picture.

On behalf of the Spectiv team, we believe ICOs give the average person the opportunity to take part in the success of something bigger than them, with the added security of blockchain technology. This is a powerful innovation.

To your point, some of the platforms that utilize this innovation will fail in the future. This is the nature of startups and is a characteristic that will never change. As experienced entrepreneurs, we understand this better than most.

With that said, one must also appreciate that a number of the platforms issuing tokens today will succeed in executing their projects and that some will even achieve major mainstream global adoption. In these cases, token purchasers stand to benefit greatly. This is our mission.

Ultimately, it is the responsibility of market participants to use their better judgement in deciding which projects they choose to support. You priced our project at a lower valuation than what is implied by our max cap - that is your speculative opinion and you are entitled to it. However, the aggregate market will have the final say in Spectiv's valuation. We have a clear and concise vision for the future and it is our objective to help the community see that vision and give them an opportunity to take part in it.

We encourage market participants to evaluate a blend of factors before deciding to buy token in a project; the product, the token's utility, the team, technical overview, state of progress, etc. In evaluating Spectiv, we hope market participants visit our website and take a close look at our team, our strong entrepreneurial background, and our history working together on successful projects. Look us up on Google, LinkedIn, or YouTube.

We are confident that the market will accurately price our project for its true value and hope that SIG purchasers are equally as excited about the future of virtual reality as we are. We look forward to updating you all on new developments, partnerships, and sponsorships leading up to the crowdsale. Keep an eye out for us, Max!

So impressive to see how the thought the Spectiv team has put into this. I agree that a lot of crypto fail, but I see big thing for Spectiv! I am sure to keep following as long as the team keeps involved. So many translations too, do you have a Chinese translation coming?

What are the benefits for long-term token holders?

One of the most valuable benefits for long term token holders is the potential growth of Signal Tokens price as the VR industry grows and curating videos becomes more profitable. For example, when Spectiv first launches, a user may spend 1 Signal Token (~$.20) to generate a signal on a video, and from that signal, they might earn let's say $5 in profit. As VR grows, that $5 profit might become $20 in profit. At this point, spending 1 Signal Token, roughly $.20, is far too inexpensive for a Token which can earn you $20 profit. That means that the market will adjust and users will buy signal tokens up to a price at which the cost is equally balanced with the potential profit. This is the value for long term holders.

Very nice and concise explanation. So hopefully the team will be active all throughout this project. Since the team itself comprises of individuals with strong entrepreneurial background.

This makes a lot of sense. Hoping that the project succeeds and the value can go up. This is one of the projects I'm most excited about. Still too long until the ICO though.

Looks like a unique project in the space, VR is a hot topic. What do tokens have to do with video platform? Looking forward to your answer, excited about this one!

In regards to what tokens have to do with a video platform, we believe that for VR to properly function, it has to exist on a cryptocurrency. We are integrating Specs as a virtual currency to run our website, allowing us to reward viewers and content contributors their share of ad revenue. This is something no other streaming platform is doing right now. More importantly though, Specs allow us to create a user interface where viewers can seamlessly give content contributors tips while watching VR videos without having to take off the headset.

Signal Tokens will be an ERC20 token which is built to allow content curators to be involved in growing the VR industry by curating top-quality VR content. By paying Sigs in order to generate signals on videos within the Spectiv platform, we are allowing curators to get paid a share of ad revenue and we are bringing more users into VR.

Thanks for the answer, the devs here seem to be very active early on. Hopefully they stay active because I think this project could be pretty big. I wish I could do the signature campaign, but I just registered on here, I will be involved in the social media bounties though.
