Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin?
by
SuperVillain
on 05/02/2017, 12:15:09 UTC
The number of bitcoin users is 2.5 millions. I found this information couple months ago on the net. But I think during this couple months the number increased. Bitcoin as money and as technology are getting more and more popular and used in daily life.
I can hardly believe in that, there are no more than one million of real users; I personally don't know anyone, except me, who uses Bitcoin, not to speak of alts. Many heard about it but nobody ever purchase it  Undecided

Re: Who is Satoshi? Why did he hide his identity?
by
SuperVillain
on 05/02/2017, 09:14:48 UTC
I don't think there is really a person named Satoshi, but most likely is a real person hiding his/her real identity. He might be now rich because I am sure he is holding a lot of Bitcoin which I know is good for his/her lifetime. Showing the identity of the person will only put their lives endanger because people will start pursuing them.
what good is bitcoin if you don't use or spend it

Re: Who to blame for the increasing transaction fee?
by

You are difinitely correct, SegWit helps to increase the block to the suitable size, but only 20% miners agree with it, the left miners are so selfish, if btc tx is so slow, users won't use it at all, miners will cry, they are too naive to refuse SegWit.
More than 20% and those miners who lingering just wait to test in on Lightcoin.

Now we see why bitcoin cannot go mainstream yet.
Don't get upset.with ligntning network all will be better but for easier implementation of LN we need to activate segwit as soon as possible

Most active regional section
by
SuperVillain
on 05/02/2017, 08:19:30 UTC
I've found out that Russian section on Bitcointalk  is most active. 771706 Posts 30965 Topics. It's more than twice as much as Chinese for example. Why people in other regional sections are so inactive or uncommunicative? What do you think? or is it because people from other countries write more in main English section because they know language better? How do you assess your country citizens' English level in percentage?

yes I think so. At the beginning there's no taxation and now, as time passes governments invent more and more taxes, most of them are pretty baseless  Sad
