Re: You Think an $8000 Bitcoin Price Is Cool? Wait Until We Hit $12000 in January

The bitcoin price has broken $8,000 USD – yet another milestone. Now, the price could rise as high as $9,000 before the last round of profit taking occurs ahead of the big rally to $12,000 in early 2018.

Prices left behind a major Elliot Wave movement to arrive at the Gann´s Angle Theory trigger zone, which could launch a rally towards $9,000. Those actions contribute to the likelihood of an imminent rally to a higher bitcoin price.

In addition to having bullish mathematical indicators, the bitcoin price in the mid-term depends heavily on fundamental data. Short-term quotes crossed the Gann´s theory bearish angle to reach the trigger zone, which should launch a bull rally towards $9,000 in the nearby.

From there, sideways trading activity should confirm a new scenario in which the bitcoin price rises to $12,000 as the first technical objective for 2018. What do you think will happen to the bitcoin price?.

Totally agree with the stats. Whether it actually happens or not is yet to be seen but heck yeah, why not. It has gained substantially since the August fiasco and the BCH attack.. The CME listing  can give it the push to fulfill your predictions.

Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency.

I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??

Ohh! my friend, this topic is more sensitive than it seems on the surface.
The community is divided on this.. and this is one of the causes of the Segwit2x debate..

It was created with the use case of being able to retain the value of an investment to tackle deflation that currently affects the fiat.
It currently serves as an asset to most but there is a growing demand for Bitcoin to be used as an active currency. But at present if that were true if would be weird if the price of a gallon of milk fluctuates like every day in line with the market value of BTC even weirder if the milk cost you different price everyday.

Owing to its limited supply I thing it would better serve as an asset. and would benefit the owners more..
I'm with the CORE team on this one.

Is Microsot accepting BITCOIN  BTC??  If so it is wonderful news!!

https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/13942/microsoft-account-add-money-with-bitcoin

You read the caveat "When you redeem Bitcoin to deposit funds into your Microsoft account, you can use it to purchase games, movies, and apps in the Windows and Xbox stores.  You cannot use these funds to purchase items in the Microsoft online store."

Regardless this is a great news that tech giants are encouraging Bitcoin adoption. i understand that they even funded the seed capital for Cindicator (Hybrid intelligence) project.

Re: Selling Bitcoin

I'm a week into this whole bitcoin thing so be easy on me. I wonder why you would ever sell a BTC ... For example: you buy 100 dollars worth of BTC but the price drops drastically. Why would you sell it when its that low? You KNOW it's going to go up again. You could wait a month (for example), the price will be up again. Or am i totally wrong here?

Hi and Welcome,

People usually sell due to FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt). If one does not believe in the intrinsic value of Bitcoin and has bought Bitcoin as a speculative tool just with the hopes of making profit, when the prices dip such people give into FUD and sell their coins to avoid total capital loss not knowing that it is normal for the seasoned investors in the  cryptosphere.
I wouldn't! Dayum I did not sell my ZEC for so long but I finally gave up and sold it today.. because it was eating up my potential earnings so I did not want to stay invested.. That's another reason why people might sell... If they see that they can get a better return in holding another altcoin if the current investment does not seem to benefit you as per your set targets/goals.
