Only trade if you have the skills to do so. Trading takes a lot of research and risks. Only take risks you can afford to. Holding is a less risky strategy if you buy low.

The system is set up where you have to work to earn money to live. Most single wages are not enough to live off of. School is kind of like free daycare. It is better to teach at home but most people can't afford to. I am lucky enough to homeschool my child but most are unable. The system is very flawed.
