Re: 📢 [WANTED] Collector Seeking Rare Sats & Nominal Sats – For the Love of Digital

These are really cool.  I bought a few that were tied to historic bitcoin transactions like the 10k pizza, etc.  this was a while ago but I lost interest because I didn’t notice any discussion here and it could have been a scam for all I knew.  The cost was do cheap at the time and I was more interested in learning the process which I never really mastered tbh.
If you want, we can talk about it here or in chat. Up to you!
Right now, the prices aren't too far off from where it all started few years ago. There's definitely been a general drop in interest, but I still find these really interesting. The pizza ones are cool and still pretty accessible btw.

Surfer - Are you familiar with Physical Bitcoins? Casascius, BTCC Lealana, etc.?

BTCC has already been mentioned for it's rare sat value, but there are so many physical bitcoins that have incredibly well identified early sats. A bitcoin on a 2011 Casascius coin qualifies right? I think the answer you may be looking for here in this section of the forum is yes, almost every member here has a drawer full of specialty sats.
I wasn’t familiar with Lealana and BTCC Mint, really cool stuff!
Just recently started getting into physical Bitcoin collecting (thanks to a friend), and Casascius immediately stood out.
Crazy to realize how early sats from those coins now qualify. This whole niche is way deeper than I thought. Super interesting!

mmm why to join this pool you have to install Xverse wallet??? Huh

thank

I think it’s the result of a partnership that’s been in the works for a while. Btw Xverse is a solid wallet, I’ve been using it myself for a couple of years.
That said, I’m not here to promote any specific wallet.
Just sharing my feedback.

A presto!

There are a lot of pizza sats out there, but they’re still a good starting point.
The hype has definitely dropped a lot over the past year, but I see rare sats as true historical artifacts collecting
In this “zero hype” phase, it’s actually a great time to find good deals..

You rare Sat hunters are missing out on the the REALLY RARE Sats.  BTCC items are loaded with virgin bitcoin... mined directly to the coins/chips.  Forget about names etc... virgin Sats for the win IMO.

Good luck in your hunting.

You're absolutely right, couldn't agree more. That’s a race that will truly begin once people gain more awareness of the value of each individual satoshi.
Totally with you on this. it might not be the first step for most collectors, but it’s definitely the endgame. Finding them is no easy task either and that’s exactly what makes them so special.. Thanks, I'll keep you updated on my hunt. I already have some really rare "sats" sittings in my bag but not so special like the virgin one.

I have at least 1 uncommon from most years including an early 2009 paired with a 2009 black uncommon. I have a lot of sat “names” including ones inscribed on ordinals.  I don’t think you’ll find many members here who like ordinals, curious if you’re buying from exchanges.  If you want to make an offer, you’re welcome to message me.

I like ordinals - plans to work more with them and combine them to physicals.

Nice!! Tell me more, it's nice to hear these things.
I love ordinals too, update me when you do something phygital.

The 2009 uncommon sat (black and "normal") are truly interesting. Not something you see every day.
The names on the sat are a nice touch, too. Kudos on your research!

I know Ordinals aren't very popular here, but I find them intriguing, especially for their historical and collectible value. I occasionally buy through exchanges, but i prefer other way when it possible.

I'll contact you privately

📢 [WANTED] Collector Seeking Rare Sats & Nominal Sats – For the Love of Digital
by
SurferGG
on 09/07/2025, 09:35:38 UTC

BTC Hello everyone!

I'm a passionate collector of special and rare satoshis, and I'm currently looking to acquire two distinct types:

🔶 1. Rare Satoshis (as defined by the Ordinals protocol)

These are sats that are objectively rare based on blockchain position and mining events, including:

- Uncommon – (First sat of each block) from 2009 to 2012.

- Rare – (First sat after each difficulty adjustment)

These sats are rare, and collecting them means owning a piece of Bitcoin’s deep structural history.

🔷 2. Nominal Satoshis – Sats with name inscriptions BTC

I'm especially interested in sats that have been assigned human-readable names, such as:

"satoshi"

"dragon"

"mario"

"pizza"

(i mean any sats names*)

These named sats (nominal sats) are fascinating because:

They create a human identity layer on top of raw Bitcoin data.

They're like digital relics: personalized, collectible..

Each carries a story, and in many cases, artistic or meme value as well

To me, this is the future of Bitcoin-based numismatics, collecting not just value, but meaning.

📦 How I Trade:

I'm open to purchasing or trading.

I use trusted escrows or direct deals with verifiable reputation.

📬 If you hold any rare or named sats and you're willing to trade or sell, feel free to reach out via DM or comment below.

Let’s preserve history, one sat at a time.

– A digital relic hunter

Exploring Parasite Pool: Lightning Payouts, No Fees, and a New Mining Model
by
SurferGG
on 09/07/2025, 00:24:12 UTC
I recently came across a project called Parasite Pool, currently in beta, which introduces an alternative model to traditional Bitcoin mining.

The concept is framed as a response to the growing centralization in mining, where a handful of pools control most of the global hashrate often using distribution models (such as FPPS or PPS) that can disadvantage small-scale home miners. Parasite aims to refocus on the individual miner, offering some notable features:

No fees for participants;

- Very low payout threshold (10 satoshis);

- Lightning Network payouts with simplified integration;

- Block reward distribution that gives 1 BTC to the block finder, and the remainder to other participants;

- Payouts are made only after a block is found (no pre-payments).

The project is still in testing and has not yet found a block, but it aims to provide a more decentralized and accessible alternative for smaller miners.
The full article explaining the technical and economic design is available here, written by ZkShark.
https://zkshark.substack.com/p/parasite-pool-igniting-the-mining

Has anyone here heard of Parasite Pool or tried it out?

I'm interested to know whether it might be a viable option over time,
especially as we head into future halvings.

Stay away from all Bitmap copies on other chains, especially anything running on Proof of Stake.

There is only one real Bitmap, and it's on Bitcoin. The rest are cheap clones made to drain liquidity.

Be careful. Hope you didn’t fall for that shit..

It’s just a scam wrapped in a fake clone.

Ciao Bitcoiners! BTC

Sto valutando l’installazione di un Full Node Bitcoin e sarei grato di ricevere qualche consiglio da chi ha già esperienza sul campo. 📜

Mi interessano in particolare:

- Requisiti hardware e di rete aggiornati

- Scelte software (Bitcoin Core o alternative valide)

- Best practice su sicurezza, uptime e gestione nel tempo

Ogni suggerimento, link o esperienza personale è più che benvenuto.

Grazie in anticipo per il supporto e la condivisione! 🫶
