There we go again, every year we see those threads popping every time there is a dip. No, this is not the downfall of BTC, just give ti some time, it will get on the track again soon.

Yes this coin has almost been forgotten now. Don't think it will 10x though, there is no hype at all around it and development seems poor too.

Wow this is great. I don't think those companies are behind bitcoin obviously, but you might have found out how he came up with his (fake) name. Best read of my week, this is quite funny.

Re: Is bitcoin dangerous ?

You can't compare between fiat and bitcoin. Bitcoin is a digital currency, that allows you to pay anonymously to anyone in the world. However, most importantly, bitcoin is decentralized, that means governments can't control it's inflation and supply and are very limited in manipulating it's price.

Yes they are. If a big enchange gets hacked it can affect tens or hundreds of thousands of people, that sounds pretty centralized to me. I don't know why decentralized exchanges aren't more popular, but they will be eventually.

As you rightly said, a fixed supply results in an increasing price as time passes. Creating new coins will drastically reduce the price of BTC so there is really no point doing that.

What do you mean take control of it? Theoretically if someone has more than 50% of the hashing power in the network it can attack the network and double spend, but this is very unlikely because that would instantly result in a collapse of the whole network. People will lose faith on BTC and stop using it. Currently, people with hash power earn money only if the network is live and people believe in it, so they have no incentive whatsoever to do such an attack.

Re: Guys what you think will happen if many countries ban Bitcoin ???

This will probably never happen in most countries. There is already so much money invested in cryptocurrency, it would be very difficult for governments to ban it.

Even if the fees will be 1/2 or even 1/4 from what they are now they would still be too high for daily usage. Imagine you would have to pay 5-10 bucks every time you buy something with your credit card. I don't think Segwit and LN would decrease the fees to less than 1 USD, so even if bitcoin sustains, there is surely a room of alts to take over in areas where using BTC will simply not be worth it.
