No, I don't think bitcoin will be of low value in the near future. Ethereum can overtake the leading position, but bitcoin will still stay on the 2nd place after ethereum.

I'd invest in both. But you have to keep in mind that the btc investment can double your money, but it can also extremely drop in value. The price of gold is way more stable, so you won't loose much money, but you shouldn't expect big gains.

I never go all in, but when I buy a coin with very much of my portfolio I set some alerts, so I can also react if I'm sleeping. I do this with the app blockfolio.

I'd start with 500$. After you made some gains you could cash out your initial investment so "there's no risk anymore".

I would suggest to invest 50%-70% of your money in the top 10 coins (except ripple) and with the rest you can trade coins which you think will go up in value like if they have aswome news in the future

Lets see in 2-4 weeks time. BCash may also increase it's value since then, but bitcoin will be very strong again and it will always be the number 1.

It's really awsome to see people in my surroundings who are suddenly interested in bitcoin. This is just the beginning!
