Burnside, please stop spamming the AM thread. I don't buy merchandise from email spammers and support them, and I will not be supporting forum spammers either. You have a thread, post it in.

Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace - Official Launch

This site is pretty awesome compared to others I've looked at. It has an easy and intuitive interface which makes buying and selling shares really easy.

I did like that the system is open such that all assets are publicly listed by Bitcoin address. The reason being that if BitFunder were to close the actual asset holders wouldn't have to wait 2+ months get a list which is something most of investors from GLBSE are dealing with currently.

Ukyo has been very responsive to questions about how it works and addresses any problems immediately. While the terms and conditions seem daunting, I don't see how it is different from any exchange that claims their assets are not real and immediately claiming they have no actual value.

I really can't wait for more assets to be listed on BitFunder. I'd suggest that all GLBSE asset "fugees" take a look at BitFunder's sandbox and see if it will work for them. Then immediately list their assets on the production site.

People should definitely check out the Bitfunder option. I looked at the other options out there and the interface for bitfunder is so much easier and cleaner than the rest. Not to mention that cryptostocks appears to be another GLBSE that doesn't post its data publicly. Which worries me a bit.

What changes should be made to the DGM calculation in the presence of miners that are mining at different difficulty levels? For example, a pool that dynamically adjusts difficulty based on the users hashrate, or one that allows the user to select their own target value?
It's more or less the same, but instead of p=1/D you should use throughout p=d/D, where d is the difficulty of the current share submitted.
Pardon my ignorance to this issue but I was looking over your initial post and I was trying to understand why with a variable share difficulty that p would turn into d/D? Wouldn't it be 1/d? I guess I don't understand where D comes into play with variable share difficulty.
p is the probability that a share will be a block. If the global difficulty is D and the share difficulty is the standard 1 then p=1/D. If the share difficulty is d then p=d/D.
Ah, so it should have always been d/D? Where d was always 1 until now?

Re: [1000 GH] Ozcoin Pooled Mining | DGM | PPS |Stratum+Variable Diff ASIC Ready

Ozcoin Update
We have been doing a lot of work on the site lately
Stratum and VarDiff being most noticable to miners and the best solution currently.
Our implementation of VarDiff allows miners a per worker choice between dynamic with a target of 18shares per minute, user set range of 1 - 10000 or off which defaults to 1.

We have more plans for the near future so I thought I'd take a moment to share where we are up to and our plans going forward.

Stratum
Stratum and VarDiff have been implemented on stratum.ozco.in and au.ozco.in
Coming soon stratum on us1.ozco.in and a european server
Note: No merged mining on Stratum

Ecoinpool
We will continue to run Ecoinpool on servers it is currently running on but will not deploy to any further mining nodes. Unless it is updated soon Version 2 blocks will break it, at which time we will need to turn it off.
Merged mining will continue on Ecoinpool
No varDiff is planned

Servers
We plan to restructure our servers
The server that is currently us.ozco.in will become our www server
The current www/db server will be retired (the most expensive to host)
The us.ozco.in mining subdomain will be moved to the us1 server

After the restructure we will have 2 US stratum nodes and one each in AU and EU
We will continue to run 1 ecoinpool node in US, EU and AU for as long as possible
The worker page on site will always have up to date mining node information

Timing
I am taking my family away for the weekend, when I get home I will move the mining subdomain DNS's and we will start working on the new www server.

Other
Payout issues finally resolved,
Some miners still need to go to User Account > Pool Options and put in a payout address after the recent hiccup.
If your Confirmed Credit is greater than your threashold for more than an hour please contact me either by PM, email or on IRC.

Hall of fame Bitcoin donators - I have a horrible feeling that during a frenzy of deleteing forum spam I also deleted this, will look at reinstating it asap.
Measures will be taken to reduce forum spam

Looking for someone with the skills to make 480 by 60 ad banner to put on some sites, PM me if you can help, I would be happy to pay 2 -3 BTC for a nice job Smiley

I think thats it for now

Best wishes
Graeme

Yay ozcoin!

Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?)

I would like to request to be white listed.

I've been mining since April of this year and I have rarely found a use for me to post on the forums as I learned a lot of what I know from people at Ozcoin and various other websites. However that day has finally come where I'd like to pose a question about DGM difficulty calculation, yet I have to do posts in the newbie forum before I can do that.

I have been running an IRC network with forums for over 15 years so I think I might qualify for knowing how to behave on a forum.

Thanks

trying to fight the spam and troll, you are forcing pepole to post, and their posts are made of troll & spam
if i understand the system correctly, you can be verified sooner, you just have to ask for it in the appropriate thread

And who/what would that be?
