Re: Aura: the future of decentralized exchanges
by
Sylvial
on 23/11/2018, 09:13:29 UTC
Are you serious, please stop call Idex a decentralised exchange, is it not the same IDEX that started blocking some IPs from certain countries. I think it is just a market word to market the exchange and nothing more. I have not seen any decentralised exchange in the space it only exit in theory and not in practice

You are absolutely right. The so called decentralized exchanges are not exactly as decentralized as we thought. IDEX currently blocks IPs from certain countries like the USA. This brings to question the whole decentralized talk. Aura will go down as one in my opinion.

Re: What do you think about new coins?

For those who have resources to add new coins to their portfolio, this is the best time to do so, especially those low sats coins which huge potentials. But a lot of people will argue that it's safe to accumulate BTC only in these times. Again, it's function of what interests you more, BTC or alts.

Re: Bakkt postponed to january 2019
by

on 22/11/2018, 11:50:47 UTC
This was the cause of the Drop that Happens 4 hours ago. Its coincides time and move.

If I was an insidertrader I would dump the market with shorts sellers just like days before and then, when the news comes out, I would use the panic to Buy all back.

But I am an Outsidertrader  Undecided

It's obvious Bakkt had nothing to do with the dump and it almost had no further impact on the dump because it didn't orchestrate it in the first place. You therefore can't attribute it to the dump, insidertrader or not

Re: New Way For Scammers. - save your money !

This is a common trick/scam in this space and isn't entirely new. Like I'll always say, only the greedy will fall for those kind of scams. There's no free lunch in Freetown! People need to know, these people asking you to send certain amount of ETH to receive a higher amount aren't father Christmas nor a charity organization. You almost need to work for all you earn in this space and that's the truth. Those who fall for such scams are just greedy and they should themselves for it.

Re: Binance listing
by

on 21/11/2018, 15:21:17 UTC
Binance is the biggest and world's best cryptocurrency exchangers. Most of the good coins have target to listed in binance but its enlisted fee is huge. Only good and strong coins age listed here.

Good and strong is relative, because you still have coins that get delisted from Binance and one begins to wonder, weren't these erstwhile good coins? Imagine TRIG disappearing from coinmarketcap as a result of the delist. The Binance effect on a coin cannot be overemphasized because of the exchange's liquidity and the trading volume the coin will enjoy.

Re: BITCOIN reach 15k$ by December 2018!!!
by
Sylvial
on 21/11/2018, 14:58:19 UTC
First he adjusted his projections from $25k around November 15 to $15k by December and this is largely because the market was showing signs of more weakness. These men just look for ways to stay relevant in the space by coming up with unrealistic price projections and the gullible believe them. Anyone who's been in this space for a while and follows how crypto assets move price wise will know the cryptos have a mind of their own and most times these projections never materialize. There are indicators of a price surge to $15k as we speak, the only hope was Bakkt, and that has been postponed to a date in January. How then is the $15k supposed to be achieved? I would have listened to him if he was referring to a date in 2019. But hey, let him keep fantasizing.

Re: ADVICE TO EVERYONE HOLDING BTC
by
Sylvial
on 20/11/2018, 12:24:26 UTC
Firstly, i am not a financial Advisor but please do take this tip seriously. BTC has gone all the way down from $6k to $4529 this morning. People are in great loss. so to avoid further losses. sell now.. i believe some people will listen to me

Your advise is without any depth and lacks tact. There's no market that goes down that doesn't bounce back up. Selling now for some people is taking a huge loss and for me that's not an option. If the money invested isn't a loan, or some money needed to take care of some pressing needs, then selling off shouldn't be an option.

Re: Bitcoin Falling Down? Is it The end ?
by
Sylvial
on 20/11/2018, 10:28:12 UTC
Yow guys, just an hour bitcoin price drop nearly $700 is this the end, or is it just taking its time to pump so hard, or will we wait a years like what happened before ?
Why is it that when bitcoin is continuing with the downtrend, people tend to think it is the end. For your own sake, this is just a downtrend market, and there is no harm in seeing this happen once in a while, people should get used to this and grow enough to understand that this is an opportunity for them to be picking at a lower price instead of getting worried for no reason, and then eventually missing the dips and joining FOMO eventually which is what a lot of people do. What the whales are looking for are those who will end up panicking and capitulating, if you want to make their day, you can join the weak ones.

You need understand one thing, how people react to situations as this differ and talk is cheap. How many people are actually picking up coins now? You can't possibly advise someone who's lost over $80M in this crash to be concerned about picking up at coins at this time. Many are simply licking their sores and hoping things get better sooner than later.

I honestly look at the market now and it feels like most of the coins are currently at a good bargain should one consider to buy. But then reality stares at you in the face, we're going down, and we do not know how far we're dipping into. So, it could be a bit risky committing some funds into any coin now.

Re: -=let's tell the good news about crypto=-
by
Sylvial

People don't concern themselves with good news in these times. You get the self pitying types who feed in to the negativity and you also get the true bears who are more than happy to contribute, bulls stay mostly quiet in these times because it's also in their interests to buy cheaper coins, a large majority are probably also scared of being too optimistic.

Not sure some are scared of being optimistic. People have suffered huge losses in the last 72 hours and since we're humans, it's not totally out of place to  see some negativity flying around. This is that time in crypto when good news don't result in any positive price action on a coin

A lot of people are so rekt and it's difficult to explain. Right now it's $150 and BTC is below $5k as we speak. It's getting uglier and shittier by the minute and no one knows how much lower we're going.

What the fuck this guy is trying to do? I don't know why he keep trying to promote for a shitcoin like CAN Smiley). Maybe this guy fell into the trap of the whales and at the moment he's trying to promote for this shitcoin and hope that somebody will believe and buy this shit from him Smiley)

His post are irritating and he has one of the most ridiculous topics. I recall he has a post where he literally said he'll wet his pants should his shitcoin get to a certain price. I think the moderators need to to take a closer at this sort of spamming and delete such from errant accounts. There's hardly a day that passes without seeing his posts.

by

2018 isn't just the year for cryptos, the possibility of a bull run happening is very slim. Except maybe a few alts spiking in price, coins like XRP maybe, just maybe. BTC might have a little run to $7000, but all these are mere speculations

Re: The BTC crash is good news for Altcoins
by

Trust me this is not exactly the case. The drop in the price of Bitcoin greatly affected altcoins. So you find a situation where alts that were bought at certain prices and because there was a drop in the price of BTC, the dollar doesn't reflect the amount it was bought

For an exchange that is very silent about the team, this leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely not one exchange I would want to put my coins on to trade. A few newbie accounts to shill it even further. I hope no one falls for this scam

This is more or less gambling with some ponzi schemes and the risk of losing it is very high. A lot of people have been burnt by such schemes before and I'm sure when payouts suddenly starts being intermittent, it becomes a clear sign your investments are gone.

Re: Btc price....what's happening?
by
Sylvial
on 16/11/2018, 18:47:15 UTC
I actually have no idea why BTC tanked around $1000 today.

In the past there was usually some reason like hacked exchange or ETF rejection/delay or China ban.

After research I can only come up with 2 reasons. First one was some over leveraged longs on OKEx, basically similiar to what happened a few months ago with that half a billion liquidated position.

Second one is Craig Wright saying he really is Satoshi and he will sell all his BTC to fund miners to mine SV instead of ABC and SV.

I think the former makes more sense to me.

The fact that one single individual or a few individuals have the ability to crash the market and bring it to it's knees says a lot about the crypto space in general and this is one of the reasons the SEC site flagrant market manipulations as a reason for not approving Bitcoin ETF applications. The fact that a few people can put the investments of several others into complete jeopardy is a cause for worry.

Re: Who actually invests in ICO's?
by
Sylvial
on 16/11/2018, 18:31:24 UTC
What you need to understand is that there will always be people who will invest in ICOs notwithstanding the state of the market. There are varying motivations for investing in ICOs for each individuals. This is why a project will be tagged an obvious scam, yet people will still invest the such projects.

The truth is that all the exchanges in the crypto space at the moment are centralized and they're prone to government regulations like the SEC. So even all the DEXes are not truly decentralized and are there not immune to regulations. Let's see how Etherdelta comes out of this unscathed.

Some hours ago i posted this after realizing the big drop...  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5069276.0

So just gave a call to someone i knew he was interested since few weeks ago in my girlfriends car, and just sold it for 2000€..nearly 13 ETH at this prices..
maybe for others it is not a lot of money..but for us, it is..no more money left, and living with my parents! hahaha
yes i STILLL BELIEVE IN CRYPTO.. the best is still out there to come in the next 2 years i think..  so with a pair of.. I am  ALL IN  Grin

wish me good luck

(please dont follow the same behaviour unless you are as mad as me and ready to loose it all)

This move is badass and a tad risky. I definitely won't be taking such a bold move largely because I'm not that much of a risk taker. But this is clearly a case of get rick or rekt. Wishing you the best and hope we're here to jubilate with you when it pays off handsomely.

Any hey, just to add that a girlfriend that allows you sell her to invest in crypto no matter the state of the car during sale, is definitely a wife material and should consider upgrading her status to being a WIFE soon enough Grin
