That's because it's a scam. The website went down months ago and everything when I exposed the fact this coin doesn't even use the tor network.

I still plan to hold the DOGE that I have. Thinking long-term, many years, the price could go up quite a bit. Just need to be patient.

With stocks you have financial statements and SEC filings and calculations for many helpful ratios, so as I am new to bitcoin I am curios as to how one might proceed in conducting fundamental analysis on bitcoin (or any crypto/ICO etc.)?  Huh

First of all, this is more like ForEx than regular stock. The entire global situation impacts bitcoin, not just one country or one industry.

Re: Why to trade Cryptocurrencies and not just buy them?
by
SysFailure0x5a
on 23/11/2017, 06:08:31 UTC
Because it is super fast to start trading cryptocurrencies with online trading brokers. In a matter of couple of hours you will have the ability to start buy and sell your cryptocurrencies, therefor making this option the best one when it comes to catch the current wave in order to try to profit from it.
The most basic way to profit from anything is to buy it cheap and sell in a higher price, therefor, making a profit. Alternatively, you can do the opposite, sell first when the price is high and buy it later when it become cheaper and again, make a profit.

Well, a little of both really. Buy and hold certain coins. Buy and trade others. Personally, I don't trade crypto currencies directly. I trade Forex with Bitcoin on Whaleclub

https://whaleclub.co/join/GZRFCR

You can check them out with that ^ link. They have demo trading which allows you to practice trade with fake bitcoin.

Since im a newbee i am curious about a campaign what does a campaign do and how can i join in a campaign ?
I usually read it on some topics but i want to know it from you guys what can i get if i joined in campaign

You definitely want to increase your rank a little. The best way to do that is to naturally get to know the forums better. Go to each section, read, and be helpful. When your forum rank grows, you'll be more attractive to the people running campaigns.

It's like all they did was copy the ShadowCoin source code and rename it to TorCoin.

Nightmare Coin, Shadow Coin, CarsenK, oh my!  (That's a wizard of oz reference and my attempt at humor)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1920826.msg19142808#msg19142808

Although this is true, I believe TheTorcoin didn't know about it
As CarsenK was hired to create the coin, he simply used TheTorcoin

I do not believe TheTorcoin ever knew about this

We'll see what happens with new releases

All I'm here to do is be honest. I have at least a dozen more hints regarding this coin being illegitimate. I only provided evidence to the most obvious reasons. Hiring CarsenK was obviously a mistake.

there is still a compile error for linux torcoind as descibed earlier..
i think it has to do with the leveldb folder wihich is specific for windows and not linux..
( like torcoin-qt.pro has hardlinks like "C:/deps/boost_1_55_0" )

so what needs to be done? other coins with that problem suggest to replace the folder "leveldb" with the folder from another coin.. but is that really a wise idea? torcoin seems to need Berkeley DB   5.3.28.NC, whereas most coins today switched back to Version 4.8 ..

hello, I get this error when I try to compile on ubuntu 14.04. could someone help me please?

To compile the linux version did you follow the directions at the start of the thread, including all the various packages?

to actually compile cd src; make clean; make -f makefile.unix

Linux Compile guide to compile torcoin-qt on Ubuntu 14.04/16.04

Run these commands to install the required dependencies in general for compiling torcoind/torcoin-qt:

Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential libtool git autotools-dev automake pkg-config libssl-dev libevent-dev bsdmainutils libboost-all-dev libminiupnpc-dev libzmq3-dev

Then do this command:

Code:
sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8  -dev

Then install QT 4 so you can use the command qmake in the next steps:
Code:
sudo apt-get install libqt4-dev libprotobuf-dev protobuf-compiler libqrencode-dev

Then clone the github directory of torcoin onto your machine, cd into the folder and use the following commands to build the QT for Linux:

Code:
sudo qmake "USE_QRCODE=1" "USE_UPNP=-" torcoin-qt.pro

Then:

Code:
sudo make -f Makefile.Release

You may need to remove lines 19 through 34 from the torcoin-qt.pro file since you are building on linux, since currently the windows compiling deps are hardcoded in. [/center]

The problem is I don't even think the code is meant to work. The code has dozens of references to ShadowCoin. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=700087.0

It's like all they did was copy the ShadowCoin source code and rename it to TorCoin.

The PROBLEM is the owner says it already has integration. It does not say "IT WILL HAVE INTEGRATION." It says "IT IS FULLY INTEGRATED". It is not... And no one has shown that Linux integration is even real.

Furthermore, there are no whitepapers or a roadmap.  This is not a real project.

There's time for integration to happen Smiley

As TheTorcoin wrote

Full TOR integration here >>

https://github.com/TorCoinProject/torcoin/tree/tor

Windows and MacOS wallets aren't yet TOR integrated but will be shortly.

We finally got one step forward to the most reasonable outcome. The founder just admitted that the Windows and MacOS wallets are not Tor-integrated YET  Grin.
Thank you "TheTorcoin".

Again, "TheTorcoin", can you please tell us if you plan to hire some devs in order to get these 2 remaining wallets integrated one time for all ? (supposing the Linux wallet is REALLY Tor-integrated).
When talking or hearing about Torcoin, anybody expects it to be integrated to the Tor network. That f*cking makes sense  Roll Eyes ..
You (We  Wink) literally have a gold mine in our hands . Not every coin has the TOR mnemonic, not every coin has such available supply, not every coin has such potential ..

The devs have been working on Android wallet for the past month - it is apparently not so easy to develop this.  Most coins don't have an Android wallet, but TorCoin will. It is costing me 6 BTC (of my own funds, I'm not selling TOR for this)

After Android wallet, then the top priority will be TOR integration for Windows and MacOS wallets.

I'm going to leave the linux client as-is, so people can either download the TOR integrated version or the non-TOR version.

The PROBLEM is the owner says it already has integration. It does not say "IT WILL HAVE INTEGRATION." It says "IT IS FULLY INTEGRATED". It is not... And no one has shown that Linux integration is even real.

scamcoin, parasiting on brand TOR.. even using its logo.. get real, this coin has nothing to offer and is here only to make money to its creators and very early adopters
Give proof that this coin and project is launched for scamming purposes?its the developers and the teams choice to  use this kindof logo and name not for a purpose but just to make it cool i think,is it illegal to use that as a logo and name?im pretty sure they have the permission from tor developers to use this logo and name

I have given a lot of proof. You people just refuse to listen. TorCoin does not even use Tor. It does not have Tor integration. The creator of the coin lied. Go back to Page 77 and read. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864282.msg19132310#msg19132310

Quote
TorCoin does not connect to Tor. All TorCoin traffic goes over the regular internet. TorCoin clients and nodes connect to a IRC channel that anyone can access. Inside the IRC channel you can see every client and their IP address. I can personally track everyone that is using TorCoin. If I can do it, anyone can....

This is particularly bad BECAUSE the creator of this coin says the complete opposite of what the coin does. He says it has full tor integration. IT DOES NOT. He says It's completely anonymous. IT IS NOT. Basically he lied about what the coin does.

Now go read for your proof -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864282.msg19132310#msg19132310

I've heard a lot of bad things about binary trading. for 1 its basically gambling but instead of a random number generator they use the market. Second, the Risk/Reward Ratio is extremely low; below 1 always because the house needs to make money. I wouldn't recommend it. With your high success rate, Im guessing you have a knack for reading the market. I think you would make more money more safely just trading regularly.

Yeah. When I first started trying out turbo I lost about $100. But I had no idea what I was doing. It seems that binary options are gambling until you know how to read charts. I definitely plan to invest in regular trading since I've learned how to read markets a little better. Thanks for the tips.
Binary trading is gambling. if you know how to read the market, why would you do binary trading. you can make much more money actually trading. Plus I wouldnt trust any sort of binary trading website to be ethical with your funds. Everytime you store coins online, you are taking a risk. If they get stolen from you, it will be almost impossible to recover it all.

They do regular trading too. Turbo Trading is just another option on that site. Most people do the regular trading like you said. I was just wondering if anyone else has had success with this type since I'm doing well. I honestly don't think it's a gamble. I just think it's high risk with a high reward. I'll probably switch over to regular trading on whaleclub since a lot of people seem to prefer it.

It allows you to buy and sell. You can do this with real bitcoins or you can use the DEMO to test out ideas. I suggest you use the demo until you're comfortable with the idea of investing.

Whaleclub Turbo Trading

So, I've been turbo trading on Whaleclub ( https://whaleclub.co/join/GZRFCR ) for a little over 12 months now. A lot of people told me to avoid turbo because "It's a gamble blah blah blah". I also tried the regular Forex trading but I don't really have enough bitcoin to make a profit from it. I did lose a little money in the beginning... but lately I've been pretty consistent with winning the turbo trades. What I've found out is that you can accurately predict the turbo trade price most of the time if you watch the 1 minute candle stick charts. I've been using TradingView for the most part. Their BTCUSDIDX is the exact same chart that Whaleclub uses for turbo on the Bitcoin trades.

With the BTC/USD turbo trading I was getting about 5 to 6 accurate predictions for every loss. Basically I was able to turn 0.001 BTC into 0.01BTC, but it took a long time because each successful turbo trade returns 35% of the investment and every loss is 100%. Someone in the Whaleclub chat said I should try USD/CAD under Forex because it returns 75% instead of 35%. What's crazy is I actually found the USD/CAD to be easier to predict. I used the USD/CAD chart on TradingView and watched closely. You could see a buy surge peak that is consistent with the last few minutes, at that moment you could sell and expect the price to drop again. This worked most of the time, but I did lose some as well.

Has anyone else been doing Binary Option trading on other sites or the Turbo Trade on Whaleclub? I'm wondering if anyone else has had success with this type of trading. If anyone has any stories, tips, resources, or ideas... I'd like to hear them. I attached a screenshot of my trade log below.

To "TheTorcoin", as the coin starts to get a bit older than a month and regarding the number of FUDders (I noticed that "SysFailure0x5a" has done a great job at making things clear and as an IT worker too, I simply can't ignore these facts), you should seriously work at improving your project by hiring some qualified devs to get ALL of your wallets REALLY Tor-integrated. That would be a MAJOR step  Smiley.

Actually the one who made the wallet and started the  project did dump his premine, but he is gone now.
Apperantly carsen has made many shit coins in the past, so this is not something new. But new team can take over the project, and leave carsen out.
Maybe he will be pissed after he sees what we can become  Grin

the first thing this coins need is tor integration. without fully implementation off to this coins needs a new name. and every torcoin node need to be a tor node too.

It already has full TOR integration.

Can you show proof of the Tor integration?
