Re: Bitcoin mining is costly...

Surely mining is costly but worth a shot, if you ever plan on mining a bitcoin then better do a bsckground check and feasibility study of your proposed project
For sure that if the electricity fees and rigs are cheaper than other nearby countries then it is really worth a shot and you might get back your capital/investment as soon as possible. Mining is not for everybody but for those who want to do it then better start doing your own research now

Yep that's totally true, also people are working on that

Re: Bitcoin miner stoped distribute bitcoin
by
THATBTC
on 28/06/2018, 02:40:28 UTC
what if all miner bitcoin stops working does not generate or distributes bitcoin for one day if it could affect bitcoin price?

If miner stop mining then there will be no value to bitcoin. Miner not only mining new bitcoins but also confirming the transactions too.
If there is no miner, than no transaction will happen.
In others words, that day Bitcoin will not have any value, because if I say ,somebody want to sell it cheap but transaction from his wallet to seller wallet will not happen and then why should pay for something that you will not receive.

yep, but this is will not happen, well at least not soon.

maybe the opposite Grin

There are lots of short length videos on youtube to understand Bitcoin in very easy ways. People should use google a little. Also, sites like this one provides very informative how-to and guides https://www.bitcoinmarketinsider.com/what-is-bitcoin/
useful! the btc it's like a kind of asset that you can use easily and well, right now with a value a little volatile, but this will change when the crypto market be stabilized

maybe the people can be a litle confused with the paper that blockchain represents on btc

even like this basic terms

Re: South Korea Opens Doors for Cryptocurrency
by

on 23/06/2018, 12:54:19 UTC
Before this time, almost Korean investors really worried about new tax policy for cryptocurrency.
That's why all news said the government will apply 3~40%taxes for crypto at Jul~Aug.
But today, the government said we will apply 10~15%taxes for crypto like interest income tax, and it is very acceptable to all Korean investors.
Also they said we feel hard to say it will happen within this year and although will happen this year, there will be 1~2years stay period.

http://news.naver.com/main/read.nhn?mode=LSD&mid=sec&oid=023&aid=0003382087&sid1=001&lfrom=kakao

In conclusion, Crypto is accepted by government's legal property, SO MANY KOREAN INVESTORS WILL GET INTO MARKET AGAIN!

WOOWW :O this is really good news!

Re: Good News for Miners and Gamers
by
THATBTC
on 22/06/2018, 03:10:04 UTC
This is a good news for us miners and gamers who are into mining and gaming. I bought desktop last month but apparently the price is jaw dropping on VGA that why i can't buy right now, and this is the answer i have been waiting, that the price will get back to normal. what are your thoughts about this?

The last year or so has been hard for most of us gamers looking to build our own PC, and the reason is tied primarily to cryptocurrency’s popularity. It’s been years since graphics cards were used for Bitcoin mining, because the hardware arms race meant that specialized application-specific integrated chip (ASIC) mining hardware quickly overtook them. Ethereum mining, however, as with other digital currencies, doesn’t benefit in the same way from specialized hardware, and so graphics cards are a great solution for mining them, and that’s leading to stock shortages and price hikes.

Thick black lines represent the average price for parts in the given category. Gray banding represents the minimum / maximum price range. Individual part prices are displayed as light blue points within the gray banding, creating an intensity graph of the price distribution. Dips in the lower price bound typically correspond to sales, or in extreme cases merchant pricing mistakes. Price data includes promos, coupons, rebates, and shipping costs (when available).

source: https://pcpartpicker.com/trends/price/video-card/

last January Nvidia stated that it was not happy with the current rising prices of GPUs and requested that retailers take action to ensure the needs of gamers were met before cryptocurrency miners.

“For Nvidia, gamers come first,” the company wrote in a comment to German website Computerbase.de. “All activities related to our GeForce product line are targeted at our main audience. To ensure that GeForce gamers continue to have good GeForce graphics card availability in the current situation, we recommend that our trading partners make the appropriate arrangements to meet gamers’ needs as usual.”

The GTX 1080 Ti, meanwhile, has a retail price of $700. That’s been inflated to at least $1,000 on Newegg, with most cards going between $1,200 and $1,400. Amazon does no better. At the time, we couldn’t find any cards with stock direct from Amazon.com. Most listings, provided by third-party stores, were well above $1,000.

READ THIS
Rumor has it that both AMD and Nvidia are working on releasing mining-focused graphics cards which would ship with a slightly lower price tag and no video connectors. That would make them useless for running a gaming PC, but perfect for mining rigs, and could help keep prices down on standard GPUs. That may finally present an option that has some impact on pricing, but few such cards have appeared so far.

There’s till plenty of room for GPU prices to drop before they reach pre-mining levels, and there’s hope that as Ethereum ASIC miner systems reach the market that GPU prices will finally fall to normal levels. In the meantime, it will be significantly less painful for anyone who simply needs to pick up a new GPU.

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

well, yep, it's a kind of asset, so it has to be treated like that

Re: New to Bitcoin. Should I mine or buy coin with my $6000
by
THATBTC
on 21/06/2018, 15:11:02 UTC
Hi Everyone,

I'm new to cryptocurrencies and would like to know your opinion on what best to do with my $6000.

I was initially planning on purchasing a GPU mining rig with gtx 1070s but then upon further research found that 1070s can only do 600-700 sol/s

Then I found the asicminer equihash which can do 40,000 sol/s and costs $14,800 which will be released on July along with new nvidia generation cards.

I know its a bit late now to start but I am really thinking hard on this but I need opinions from veteran guys.

tl:dr;

1. Should I buy bitcoin with my $6000 or
2. Use it to buy a 1070 GPU mining rig or
3. Wait until July for new nvidia graphics card to come out (or the asicminer equihash).

Thanks so much for all your feedback.

*Edit: Would like to inform everyone that electricity costs would not be a problem as I have a way to manage it. Considering that electricity cost is not an issue, is mining going to be profitable for me right away?

You should buy, this is a temporal down, it will increase soon

Some might see that this is the very best time to invest more when bitcoin starts to fluctuate, others see it as a soap bubble because they are afraid that bitcoin will continuously lose its value resulting in a huge loss. It's simply because that they cannot control it because it is run by a decentralized market unlike the issuance of fiat money in our government.

yep this is also a good way to see it

blockchain it's the future, the trend of the market it's to increase, just look at some news

Ever since bitcoin price started dropping, most of the threads i see here are : is bitcoin dying?, will bitcoin go green again?, should i hold or sell? etc. I laugh when i see such threads. Every business has a window of opportunity when the market is ripe to enter. This is the time to invest more in bitcoin. Every good investor see every dip as an opportunity to buy more bitcoin and hold. The weak ones see dips and they start to shiver; selling all their bitcoins, even including their altcoins. Please community members, the way we are handling this drop in bitcoin will scare new members from even investing in the coin which will cause a further decrease in the price and the unexpected might happen. Let's have a healthy discussion about our coin even in hard times, and it will attract more people to invest and eventually pump the price again. Friends what do you also think?

Re: Interference of the future contract to bitcoin
by

The highest bitcoin coincides with the futures contract on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). However, after bitcoin prices continued to decline, by the end of May, bitcoin prices did not return to their peak levels before the futures contract. Do you think the launch of bitcoin futures allows pessimists to enter the market, contributing to the bitcoin price move. What is the future of the market?

the market has a trend to increase, but well has bad moments too

Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

I think. everyone has a law if someone runs a business. whether it's an economic business or a coin business. If we do not have a legal umbrella. Then there will be no more coin transactions. All bitcoin users will be caught. unless they use illegal transactions. that is what has no legal umbrella

maybe, but with this, a revolution  Undecided

Re: BTC Whales are playing a dangerous game

The Whales could possibly destroy BTC!

BTC Whales control one third of BTC

The Good news is the SEC are investigating Whales for market manipulation.

If the Justice department can link a whale to a futures position that was say SHORT and then find out the Whale dumped a mother load of BTC on the market it will be jail time for those involved.

The SEC are watching these Whales so they would want to be careful!

In my opinion the whales are running scared and that is why the market is in the doldrums.

ETH whales are also being watched carefully!

Well, not exactly, but they have a big part of power on the market ...

On the other hand, this will change soon

I have been reading some posts in this section about bitcoin But I never understand any reply about it because of the reason that we did not even know that where the bitcoin comes from and who is the real owner and so many question related to that.

Anyone who has answer is welcome.

You've around for almost a year, participated in a lot of bounties and signatures, made 311 posts, you've been also tagged for copy-paste and you ask WHO IS THE OWNER of BTC ?

Seriously?

There is no data of him anywhere not even on any kind of website related to Bitcoin. As everyone knows that he is the creator of this great forum and he esteblish this everything even a proper team and the whole network then he jsut disappear in the wind. No knows jis even address or has any picture of him if there is any then who is sure that its him.

So i do not think that we need to know these question just do what you have to do and keep doing your work. No need to find him if he is some where then he will be happy and proud to be the creator of this incredible forum.

Have fun  Cool Wink Smiley
