can you write to exchanges about the fork again? he ain't showing any activity, no promised wallet, no promised roadmap. does that even counts - if he appeared to mess with exchanges and close the thread? i would count that as "dev is not around". how the fuck exchanges count this is "dev is still around" if he made no development for like 2 month?

Hi Hodor - we tried this already, the dev can just come back and make a lot of noise with the newbie accounts and say we are 'stealing' his coins and that the reason he keeps going offline is because he is working on new development, same as last time.  We tried to rescue this but as long as the dev does this its just a waste of time and we would go round in a big circle.

Dear Community,

We have decided to remove our proposed fork of the Talkcoin code and resign from the project for the following reasons:

  • We didn't expect the dev to return after a month offline and consequently all this negativity and FUD  is putting the final nails in the coffin of a coin that had already experienced a long and steady decline in price and market confidence.
  • The developer gave no updates for 2 months while Talkcoin was being dumped and only started communicating again recently after receiving 560,000+ TAC from mining and voting for development costs.  Of these funds, around 20% were paid in bounties and we still got no answers as to where the remainder went.
  • Even though we did our best to explain to the exchanges about the lack of communication on the existence of the devfund and the -votedev command, this was not enough evidence for the exchanges to switch to the new fork with the dev returning and active on the forum.  If we were to continue and fork the network under these circumstances, it is bad for everyone involved.
  • The team is exhausted from the constant trolling and we would rather spend our energy and $ on a new project that isn't controlled by someone that doesn't share our vision or long term outlook for a coin.  Nor do we want to work with a developer that refuses to work openly or as part of a team.

We would like to thank all the investors, miners and the pools xHash.net, MineP.it, DwarfPool.com and Suprnova.cc who supported us plus special thanks to Aizen and bushstar, and we are sorry that we have to retract our takover now to prevent a fork in the network that would only make things worse.  We would strongly suggest to everybody now that you hold the developer accountable to follow through on his recent promises and to provide a clear roadmap and updates as to what is being developed.

We also recommend the community ask that the developer starts to be upfront about what funds he is collecting from the mining rewards and how funds are being spent, as this will go a long way to rebuilding trust in the community as well.

We did our best to rescue the situation, we are sorry we could not achieve this for everyone involved.

Best,

Andy (Talkteam), Chris (Ignition75), Dom (djm34), Atef (karimdr2) & Crz

TEAM!!

Please, try to have a detailed conversation with bittrex and other exchanges, maybe on IRC channel or smth. IT worth trying. We need to explain them this situation - dev left this coin a while ago, like 2 month or smth, 1 month ago he have posted smth about - communty blamed him in stealing. Now, when you have found out that "dev fund" and wanted to fork without it, he have written smth to exchanges like "i'm here, don't support fork". Everyone knows it's bullshit, so please... Everything is in thread, his post history, you've already made some good analysis, djim and Talkteam(with links, details and shit). It's clear as day to everyone who have at least half of brain. Don't give it up, just fucking have a close talk to exchanges, maybe Richie

sorry mate, we tried our very best to explain all our concerns and that our main reason is because we want to take Talkcoin forward and develop it which hasn't been happening as you now.  I don't blame the exchanges because the dev came back and from their point of view we are asking them to change to a new repo and they say they have a policy to support the original devs if they are active which unfortunately ours is despite this being the official thread since near the start.  We had lots of communication and they were open and nice with us about this but its a no go and we dont want to mess up the last chance for Talkcoin by forking the network tomorrow.

Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin *** OFFICIAL THREAD ***
by
TalkTeam

A bit explanation.

Talkteam (Andy) is not developer. He sent me a message when I realeased the first version to help me on the communication and maketing and he wrote me in his first messages "Just say openly now, this is your project & your creation, I will always go with your decision", these are his words. I accepted as it's not my discipline and I let him to make his own thread with his own words and he was the one that I invited (other members was invited by him without my approval). We already had clashes, this is not the first time. It slowed down the development (too much talk and not much action) but I tolerated him because he was here since the start and I didn't want to kick him off the project like this, the communication was limited.

Ignition75 didn't stay long. I quickly kicked him off the project. He is not developper, has no skill on a project like this, and he already wanted to take over the project, no link with the dev fund here, it was during july.

I never dumped coins as some said. But I gave many coins to many people. In these people, there are Talkteam (+100,000 TAC) and he asked me to send him more coins because he was "broke". djm34, karimdr2, AizenSou have also received coins from me. (don't deny facts, I saved messages).

I don't spend much time in this forum, but it's for a good reason, I am developing a video integration solution right now and I prefer to spend time to do useful things.  I will release a new version when these clowns stop their hostile take over. They won't develop new features, it's not their code and they need to hire someone just to change 2 or 3 variables...

This is becoming really ridiculous. Talkteam has created a situation that he cannot get out from. Now, I think they just want to save face...

As you know very well, the 100k TAC you paid 'me' was paid to a bounty wallet you asked me to administer: TpZfUB2rdnao17d8ATEzTamEDkAN7P2WKz and as you know I paid all that out for - bounties.  The TAC the team donated me when I came back after resigning in protest, after we found your hidden rpc command -votedev and that you were paying upto 30% of mining rewards to yourself without telling anyone, I also donated the donations back to the team because you stopped funding the team already and its not fair for people to work for free.

Whilst on the subject, can you publish your wallet address that received the % of mining rewards now and explain where these funds went?

Also.. "I am developing a video integration solution right now and I prefer to spend time to do useful things" good one, still chuckling to myself Wink

Nice explanation.
I didn't know that they are such a scammers. Ignition75 and talkteam seemed like a nice guys. I was also mining this coin from the very beggining and I really like it. Other clones just got burned, but talkcoin is still kicking, eventhough price on exchanges drop a lot  Undecided

amacar if you have time to read his super long comment, you should read mine too.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg8681806#msg8681806

Thanks.

Regards,

Aizen

Thank you for link. I read everything and now I am confused. Don't know whom to believe  Huh For now I will just wait to see what will happen in near future.

Hi amacar. The answer is, everytime you read a comment on this subject, check when the account was created.  If it was created the day after we announced the new hard fork and is 95% comments on the TAC thread, that is the dev or someone he paid off to create every kind of lie and spin under the sun to keep his TAC flowing to his wallet address obfuscated in the code and enabled by the hidden rpc command -votedev, hidden because he never published it anywhere and ignore me when i asked him if there was a fund because there was a brief mention of it on the old OP here.  You will soon start to see the real picture.  Sorry to all investors that this happening now when its last chance for Talkcoin, please be reassured that the remaining team *are* working on new development and trying to add value to Talkcoin.

Here is the text from the OP now in case the dev decides to add the command here retrospectivel:

**Warning**
A group who made an unsuccessful hostile attempt to take over talkcoin have built an unofficial (read fake) wallet they call “v2”. They are still trying to market it as the real wallet and are currently spamming the forums. This wallet will hardfork you onto the wrong blockchain.
Talkcoins on the wrong blockchain will not be tradable on exchanges and will not have any value.

These people lied to everyone about the exchanges supporting their fork.
Please only use the official wallet at http://talkcoin.org where it has always been.

The hostile group have control of the OP of this thread. Please use the official thread here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=573998.0

Please be warned that the reason we fired the dev from the team was because we caught him stealing 30% of the mining rewards to his own private wallet.  So we have removed his malicious code and also removed reward voting as the community asked.

See here for the 30% scam:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg8293646#msg8293646

And here for explanation of the solution:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg8496645#msg8496645

And check the dev posts to see how he was offline for a month after being exposed as hiding his dev fund system:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=265152;sa=showPosts

Now check how much work the dev has done to receive the hundreds of 1000's of free TAC: https://github.com/talkcoin/talkcoin-wallet/commits/master

Then check the work we have done for free to try to rescue this investment for everyone: https://github.com/Talkcoin-Team/talkcoin/commits/master-0.8

What is happening here is that the original dev left the project after being exposed as a scam artist.  As soon as I post the link to our github showing the dev's malicious code removed, he realised he will loose his scam funding, so he logged in for the first time in 4 weeks and start trying to say we are 'stealing' his coins lol.

Don't believe the smoke and mirrors, go back through the Talkcoin thread and see the scam exposed and see how the dev is now trying to pretend he never stole these coins with 100 fake newbie accounts and a few users he paid off, its not hard to see through this.

What a shameless hypocrite!!
When the community questioned the dev's stolen money ,you and djm ,... tried to hide and deny that fact.

What on earth are you talking about?

djm34 is an extremely well respected and well like cuda coder.

Little boy, you need to show some respect.  You got caught stealing, it doesn't matter how much text to change to red and bold, you can't hide your guilty conscience and all these fake n00b accounts you are creating.

The adults are trying to steer this good concept into something investment grade, why don't you GTFO and move on?

Or, you can join us after the fork, but no more stolen TAC and cheap dumping on the markets, we will have a development fund and we can pay you for your time.
Shameless coder and other team members deserve to be despised.

Sure. Lead developer of Feathercoin who kindly identified and removed the dev's hidden payment system that Talk dev forgot to tell anyone about, is a scammer?  lol

Hey at least i am not the one doing fake accounts because i don't have the balls to post with my real one with petty attacks.

Yes, theres really only 3 users behind this, 1 is the dev, the other 2 were obviously paid off.  The other 20 accounts are all fake.

Ok so much spamming going on dont know who believe thanks you

This is crazy. TalkTeam you should be ashamed of yourself. It doesn't really get much sadder than this.

jelt14 - if you can't work out what is the real talkcoin, please don't download anything until you've worked it out. Better to not use it for a while than to take a fake wallet.

btw I am @The_K_meister on twitter have a look. Theres just no chance with my profile I'd be trying to trick some newbies in an altcoin scam!!  Smiley
Or you've got this anonymous guy and his friends, who won't give out either his real name or his real bitcointalk account.

k-meister, anyone can go back a few weeks and see the period where the community exposed the dev taking 30% of mining rewards for himself in secret from me and the team: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg8293646#msg8293646

now you are trying to confuse people with just huge amount of FUD.

But its all in the thread if people go back and look at it.

Obviously pools and exchanges are not going to support a known scammer because it is their reputation at stake.

But you continue your FUD in the hope if you do enough of it you can hide the theft which is still happening until our hard fork on Monday.

@TalkTeam,shameless fake dev,you just a PR manager worked for the real DEV(@Talkcoin),no shame you kick your master out of this unofficial thread, that's all.  so funny story!

Its easy - I ran this thread since right at the start of the project and have released all the versions myself including the current one, so just go to the OP and install the official version as usual.  Unless you want to use an unofficial version from a dev that we kicked out who was proven to be scamming 30% of TAC in a hidden fund which he didnt even tell his team mates about: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg8293646#msg8293646

I'm mailing you about the talkcoin hostile takeover, which they are now calling “v2”. The last chance to do anything about it is now.

At this point the takeover team have flooded the forum so much with their spam that they have mostly drowned out the community's voice, which is against them.

They accelerated their hardfork to this Monday so they can avoid people having any debate about it.

To see the bad stuff these people have been up to, please read my report of it here. Sorry its so long, but I had to get the details and the evidence in:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg8640617#msg8640617

The only chance to avoid losing the coin is to make your voice heard on the forum (and not to download their wallet).

If peoples protests can be heard over their spam the pools/exchanges won't implement the hardfork, it's as simple as that.

So it's up to you how it goes.

To sum up the choice you have:

Going with the hardfork means giving control to the takeover team. They have no developers. They didn't develop any of the coin. They have no talented members at all Sure Djm34 is a complete noob for example Roll Eyes and the current dev will stop working on it. They had to pay someone else to make this takeover build. They changed the code to steal all the coins being destroyed in the genesis block and move them into their own wallet.Ah yes because the coins were really NOT being destroyed with the old dev but let's not mention this They are only taking over to remove your vote on the number of mined coins, because they are a group of miners wanting to mine more blocks for themselves. By forcing the mining of 2 milion new blocks per month the percentage holding you have will disappear, with the miners sucking up the value of your investment. Nobody wants to buy these 2 million coins and there is no chance of anything other than coin collapse. Ah yes .. the block reward so dear to k-meister and the cause of all this mess

To stay with the current code & developer:
We will have mined coins reduced to 650k per month (5 per block) so the price will immediately leap back towards normal. And there you have it lol , WOW THE PRICE WILL ''IMMEDIATLY'' leap back... dude you are deluded
We will have the dev who created the entire coin still looking after it and working on new features.Yeah this worked so well before that the team he had hired to work for it is now trying to kick him out because he wasn't honest with anyone and wasn't communicating no more. Why would he ? The cash cow was working on its own afteral
He will let the community decide on important matters such as block reward changes.Oh my ! yes ! the most important thing to any coin , the BLOCK REWARD .. but if the community should be able to change the block reward .. why not leave the old voting system ? The takeover team have made it clear they will not.
Plus there will be myself working as a developer. And I will be helping with PR. I'm regularly on TV talking about bitcoin, and many of the most influential newspapers/TV/websites in the world regularly ask my opinions on bitcoin matters. Oh wow you are so important , lol . You went to japan to hold a sign and that make you an expert on cryptos from now on. Well i guess your protest in japan worked out so well in the end right ? Oh wait it didn't .. You got some media attention and nothing much came out of it as far as what you went there for. And your new ''protest'' here isn't going to work much better you know. You have not a single clue dude. You are doing more harm than good to this coin.

The next 24-48 hours are critical and if you care about keeping the coin, you need to make some noise on the forum right now. If they drown you out, simply post again.

Kolin
Twitter: @The_K_meister

Need i say more ? ... The guy is on a crusade just because the new team don't want to adopt his 5 coin BR.
Bet if they had agreed to his block reward scheme he would be completly fine with this takeover and all would be well in the world for him, and he would most likely say how the old dev was a big scammer too.

So pathetic.

Don't need to say more. Perfect. Thanks.

Maybe this thread should be closed?

It's full of FUD and newbie Chinese member posts, but I don't see any need to close it really. Anyone with half a brain can see what's going on.

The TalkCoin team are doing all the right things and we, as one of the main TAC pools, will be moving forwards with them - as I hope will all the other pools and exchanges.

People posting stuff like "talk coin will never recover from this" etc.. that's just ridiculous and is probably mainly posted by those who have dumped their coins already. Once new developments start being released human nature (greed!) will kick in and everyone will want back in - simple as that Smiley

Thanks for the support Dan Cheesy

So far,the specific take-over plan hasn't came out.
take the hard fork for instance, could you tell us from which block will you implement hard fork?

we just waiting for the final upload from Bushstar.  He has the exact block #, but it will be sometime on Monday 3rd September.

We already spoke to the pools and exchanges, they will be updating to the new official version from the official thread (here lol Smiley)

Check back later today for the latest Talkcoin release with hardcap, core clean-up and voting / hidden funds removed.
