Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool!

Hello all,

Just a quick question.  According to calculators I should be getting 23 ETN per hour.  However, I have been mining on Nanopool for 12 hours now and am only averaging 14 per hour.  Any idea why I am missing 9 ETN an hour?  I have 10.4 KH/s.  I averaged 1100 shares per hour over that 12 hour timeframe.  I feel like I am losing coins somehow and wasn't sure if anyone else is noticing a significant difference between what you should be getting vs what you are actually getting.

Rx480 has samsung chips and rx580 have Hynix , but I doubt this is the issue
That's the issue right there. Cheesy Samsung chips are faster, or rather people figured out the timings for those chips that result in higher hashrate than with Hynix and Elpida. This is what matters the most for Cryptonight.

I've gone to the high difficulty Port: 7777
Is this a good option?
I have the same question.  Electroneum.space offers an even higher difficulty. starting at 100,000 difficulty.  With 6x vegas I am not sure if I should be on the 7777 port or the higher one.
This is just the starting difficulty, it doesn't matter all that much cause it'll auto-adjust to your hashing power pretty soon after the start. 7777 is the port to use for multi-gpu rigs. And 100k difficulty is for nicehash and similar services, you don't want to use that: it'll adjust automatically as well after a while, but you'll just lose some time not finding many shares (if any).

I have noticed that while I am mining at the same hashrate for ETN VS XMR I seem to find fewer shares of ETN.  Is that normal?  I was under the assumption that since ETN was newer I should be finding more shares than I do in XMR.

I'm new to mining ETN, I've started with 6x Vega (~11,8KH/s) at http://uk-etn-stats.hashparty.io
I've gone to the high difficulty Port: 7777
Is this a good option?
I don't understand the benefits of the three difficulty options, can someone explain?

Just curious if MPH is planning on adding Electroneum to available coins to mine?  Sorry if this has been asked before.  I would look through the thread but it's 200+ pages and it won't let me display them all then ctrl+f to find it.

The three exchanges (Bittrex, Yobit and Poloniex) don't support it yet:

I wonder if there is eletroneum, then it can be algo switch mining with monero.

It would be possible if bittrex lists electroneum too.
Currently miningpoolhub doesn't support cryptopia.

Thank you!  I was mining Monero on MPH but electroneum is 3x more profitable so I decided to switch.  I would much rather be mining it with MPH though as their setup is easy to use.

Also, are there any pools that auto exchange electroneum?  Rather than having a wallet is it best to just mine direct to an exchange?  I am already mining monero through mining pool hub and have an account on Cryptopia.  i was just planning on copying all my monero mining configs and adjusting them to mine to monero instead.  If There isn't an autoexchange pool I will just mine direct to the exchange.

I created a wallet using the Github release. I am running the daemon with my wallet open, however, it keeps telling me my wallet is out of sync after I type address or anything in it.  Thoughts?

Random question.  When adjusting settings in OverdriveNTool do you do it while the miner is turned off or while it is running?  I feel like if I adjust the settings while the miner is running sometimes it causes it to hang and ultimately cause a restart.

I have been running steady for about a week now.  However, the problem that persists is I have 2 cards when I disable/reenable them 1 gives me error code 43 and wont mine.  The other gives artifacts and restarts the computer.  When the computer comes back on it is disabled I reenable it and it mines without hbcc memory.  I jave been running both of these without hbcc memory and pulling around 1400 h/s each But all my other cards are 1900+ so I should have additional 100 h/s but can't figure out why these won't work.  I am also not sure how to identify which card is which on the machine versus in device manager.

You can identify a serial number next to the PCI slot, which will probably say 1 or 2. You may also want to try uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling. http://vega.miningguides.com/p/faq.html#GPUorder

I did a fresh install of windows a couple days ago to see if it would fix the issue with the disable/enable.  As for identifying a serial number what does that correspond to in the properties window of the gpu?  I am on a H110 BTC+ motherboard.

Something new happened.  When I start Stak it loads all the gpu threads then for each one it comes up and says hwloc memory pinned.  Anyone know what that means and if its bad?

Thank you!

Interesting predicament.  I am running all 6 vega 56 at GPU P7 1408 MHz 1000 mV and  memory P3 1100 MHz 950mV.  Where it seems to be fairly stable.  I did get 1 hang in GPU0 which caused a restart.  However, when I undervolt the cards down to GPU 841 mV and memory 805 mV GPU0 that hangs in openCL or something like that.  It is always GPU0 and that confuses the hell out of me as these are all Sapphire RX Vega 56 and all have samsung memory.  The only difference is that GPU0 is in the actual PCIE slot on the motherboard and the others are all in risers.  It does have a monitor connected to it right now but that will be replaced with an HDMI dongle shortly.  Thoughts anyone?

I am running on Stak-xmr right now. And getting about 9900 h/s so I believe it was the miner that was holding me back.  However, my energy went up to 1300 from 960.  Any thoughts on how to optimize?  I am using suggested settings from oldcomers video.

error 43 could be a riser problem if the card is proven to be working

have you changed the pcie speed (gen1/gen2) in bios?

using the b110 BTC+ im at 8 vegas

I have not touched the Bios.  It said it was ready to mine out of the box so I did not adjusting.  Should I go in and change the pcie link speed to gen2 like with other boards?

Thank you for all your help.  I have been manually enabling/disabling.  The issue that bothers me the most is that whenever I enable/disable card 3 it comes back on as error 43 and whenever I disable/enable card 4 my screen artifacts and the computer restarts.  However when I first boot up I can enable/disable the other 4 and if I start the miner it recognizes the 2 problem cards and will mine with them although its at about 1100 h/s each.

amdcleanup and ddu do the same thing i find it quicker

i cant get claymore to work  xmr stak is ok, i use cast xmr - its designed for the vegas

Is there a walkthrough for setting up cast?  I only use claymore because I know how to set it up.

hi
use amdcleanup tool
if you have flashed to the vega 64 bios use the registry edit file from the yourtube guide RX Vega 64 Undervolting Guide for Blockchain Drivers - Part 2.
go device manager and remember the driver key numbers under rx vega properties then details...
apply the registry edit with the driver key numbers... reboot
use overdrive nt and set the p7 1407 and 841 for voltage, memory set to 1100 and volts to 805
run cast, u should get 1700+ at least maybe 1970 depends on the individual card

i can confim the h110 PRO btc+ handles 7 vegas and rx480 no problems @ 1240w

ill try 8 tomorrow night

Is the cleanup tool better than DDU? Or does it do something different entirely?  Also could the issue be I am using claymore instead of stak?
