There are hard-forks, forks, and blockchain rollbacks (essentially, large blockchain re-organizations).

Hard-forks are performed because there is a bug in the software that needs fixing - a fault in the software itself.
Bitcoin has had a few emergency hard-forks; 2 to be exact.  These are positive changes - they show that the developers and community are on top of things, and capable of fixing the protocol or protocol implementation when necessary.

Forks are when there are two competing blockchains - this is usually a bad thing.  Simple forks are often caused when there are protocol version conflicts, and the longer chain stops getting accepted by a set of nodes, who then branch into their own chain.  Forks are almost always a bad thing.

Blockchain rollbacks and re-orgs happen when someone 51% attacks the network, or for the first time with VRC, when devs decide to force a revert to a previous checkpoint.  Blockchain re-organizations (rollbacks) are VERY BAD.  They show that the network has NO orphan security, and that you very simply should not trust your money on that blockchain.

A fork is not a fork.  Anyone that says that has no idea what they are talking about, and you probably shouldn't believe anything else they claim to know.

Nothing I'm saying is untrue, nor attacking a specific coin.  I would make these statements about any blockchain that was re-organized like VRC was.

It's not FUD if it's true - it's sharing knowledge.
FUD has become the most ridiculously overused buzz word in this thread.  And it's being used to discredit people who's points cannot otherwise be disproven.  So, please, keep shouting FUD at me... it's obvious you're the only one spreading bullshit when you do so.

After reading your explanation of the fork vs hard fork vs block chain roll back, I recalled the early days of vericoin.
In the first day of mining, at around 1500 blocks, there was a fork (pow stage of vericoin was a fork heaven), the developer used a hard fork to hardfork the block chain to a early block before the fork happens.

I lost about somewhere between 10000 and 12000 coins in that hard fork (I was in the hero pool, the long and main block chain, and the 0feepool was on shorter chain, and in the first day, diff was very very low). At that time, I didn't think much about the hard fork (or we can now call it a rollback). After reading this explanation, that hard fork is just a mistake and should never be done. What the developers should have done is to find the long block chain, and use that right block chain to ask miners go to miner on that chain, rather than rolling it back.

Those forks happened multiple times and i remember it was rolled back multiple times. I was always mining in the hero pool and also lost some coins during those rollbacks.

Now I think it back, the rollback after mintpal hack is not alone(it has been done multiple times before), it has shown the incompetence of the developers, looks like they don't know what they were doing and just do what they want to do, rather than following the right thing in the community.

I don't want to FUD, but I am trying to say the fact. You guys can look at my post history and tell.

Nobody care to reply to my post, except one guy sees what i said as FUD
Anybody want to comment on it?

If you're saying that there was a rollback earlier in VeriCoin's history, sorry dude. Never happened. What did happen was that there were a number of forks (as happens to many young coins with heavy mining action) and some people were mining on the wrong fork. This caused them to THINK that they lost money, but they never really had the money in the first place because they were on the wrong fork. There was no early rollback however.

Thanks for your reply and your rudeness (at least it seems to me) to an honest claim the community manager. Are you sure about what you claim? I will do a recompile with the proof of what i claim and then get back to you, it may take a day or two.

Did that and there´s nothing in it confirming the allegations you posted here.

So for me you are most likely in the same altcoin rapist PnD group as phzi and BobBlob.

Based on what you reply, you are just getting around the fact(what my main claim is).
If I were you, I would not reply like you and rather reply with fact.

Look at my history, do you see any association between me and the two people you mention? How can you just claim we are in same group?

Do you call anyone who say honest opinion as FUD?

What is wrong with you?

I am here because when I look through btt and found that I lost because of the rollback in the early days which should not be done when a fork happens (in early days I didn't realize it was a mistake, but now I do)

Seriously why are you clowns even in this thread? You don't contribute in any shape or form. All you do is try to to dig up dirt on fire. Nothing better to do? You don't like the guy, fine you said your say now go away and be done with it. You don't like ROX, fine get out, it will be your loss. I have never seen any dev team go to such lengths just to disprove fud as the ROX team have done. They have more than proven themselves compared to some other coins out there. Price is low now, sure. If you've been around a while, you would know prices on other coins drop when there is a major pump going on in another coin. When that coin dumps, prices on the others go back to normal. That's all there is to it.

The problem is that they are trying to cheat, lie to new investors, and try to scam new investors' money.
They have already cheated, lied.

Some people can choose to walk away quietly, but responsible forum members would warn new investors, isn't it one of the responsibility for the old forum members, isn't it one of the reasons why btt exist, so that forum member can help forum members?

Volume was crazy since the market reopened on bittrex.

There was a 10 BTC buy at one go a few minutes after!

They are mostly fake volume, just a head up to new investors.
From what I observe, there are quite a few posting here to say positive to Rox (regardless of the scam point out by honest members), it is not difficult to guess who they are because they are a team...

It's not difficult to guess who is part of your team. You've posted what... 60 posts in this thread alone?
You should get a job at subway if you are so concerned with helping people.

People will tell who is honest, and who is not, by their standard.
What I do is just to warn new investors because I have seen the scam since day one.
Until now, I think I am right, how do you think?

what about the fact the rox coin dev is the same dev for cam coin
I'm gonna be honest if this is true I'm not sure I care :/ lol ill ride both coins to 20k and make double the amount

ive sold out based on that. when roxcoin came back online, i was really confident as if it was a scam dev would not have been here, that post changes everything. this is twice now the coin has fallen and dev has collected coins which he may sell higher. this is my honest opinion not FUD or anything as the price is already silly, but i am no way getting in if thats them. id just like a explanation on that matter before i buy

I think you are right, bitcoinwonders010, I am glad that you warned it to new investors.

The only reason they didn't abandon it is because of money.
They intended to sell their coins out to new investors, and then leave this coin and create a new scam coin.
However, they are so greedy and they create the CAM coin before they sell out all their Roxcoins. Yet they are too careless (which is good for the community, if it is not because they are too careless, it is difficult to find it out), and thanks to god, they are too careless and their scam was caught by honest member.

Now they didn't have enough time to sell out their coins, so in order to sell all the coins as they originally intended, they tried to find excuses balabalaba., and now pursuade people to buy their coins (...will got to 20 k....)

Look what they have done, since launch how many scams have been people found? They didn't explain any of them.

Look at what they created for TOR, it is just a copy and paste of Razorcoin, and remember Rox1.0 was a copy of Gurellacoin. Can you just make any innovation, other than spending minimum effort to copy paste and then dump?

Hopefully you're the kind of guy who is willing to apologize on public forums. This will all be cleared up, at that point I will kindly as for a public apology.
Despite what you may perceive (unless it's your intention) your FUD affects the lives of real ppl.

I don't quite understand what do you mean here. Yet from what I understand, I will answer you:
If what I said is wrong, I am willing to apologize in this forum, but ROX is not the case because I believe I am right.
I am here to help people so that they do not lose their money, expecially new investors, I hope they will not lose money or lose less money after reading my posts.

First of all I deleted my twitter account as I promised to if my XC call went bad. I had enormous faith in XC breaking 300k sats and I made the call at 230k sats advising people to make very heavy positions. My collateral to this advice was my word that I would remove my account and I believed that this was a bold move to make and I would be making people a lot of money/changing some lives.

XC ran up to 300k and then was marred by whales who got in at 120-160 and 140-170 exiting positions in 140 btc + 70 btc dumps. I agreed to keep my word and removed my account.

ROX was FUDed by scores of people here claiming the Roxjamz beta was all fake and completely fictitious. We proved them completely wrong and even had edits made to the original textjamz software which we also have rights of ownership to.

http://textjam.herokuapp.com/

https://github.com/prafmathur/TwilioMusicPlayer

Next, Rox network was attacked with malicious intent and Bittrex and Ccex should be making public statements to confirm this. As described before the hashrate had peaked at 300 GHS and stabilized at 180 GHS. Understand the distribution mechanics of a hash rate of that magnitude.

No one has left Rox, we are all here. If this was really a scam I wouldn't be wasting my breath here. I would have sold at 15k sats like a douche and ran with the cash. Why would I still be here? We will be buying as much as we can. . Bittrex has frozen the markets for now while we implement technical changes. We will still be bringing on our proprietary anonymous features. Like I have said, you guys can continue to FUD and just scare investors away, we will keep buying this coin at this undervalued price and continue to deliver.

The first attack of FUD that brought price from 9k down to dumps of 1.5k was completely unprecedented and unsubstantiated. You guys can thank the members of this community who were quick to jump the gun w/ unwarranted criticism. In addition we did have a team member who was acting completely irrational and out of hand who we had previously removed. I do not want to bring this point/link this issue back up again because the case has been closed however if you are really interested scroll down the roxcoin tweets.

We are going to keep working, we will keep delivering no matter what. Consistency and persistence will lead to results. I am not trying to be a hype man here, FUDers please stay away until features are rolled out. If you don't like it don't be here to buy it. If you hold any do not sell at these horrible prices, wait a few days and you won't be dissapointed. Some pretty strong coins in the current market have been through horrible episodes of FUD and I am pretty sure you are all aware of that.

In the same way that we delivered the jamz and disproved all allegations we will continue forward and steadfast.

Everyone will learn that there is so much false and unwarranted hatred against this coin that will only be converted into positive publicity in the coming days.

To the GUE boys who created accounts/revived accounts/spend loads of their personal time: Every coin comes from a hierarchy of forks. All your specs/design was was a template. If you believe your wallet color scheme/coin design is proprietary knowledge and intellectual property that is extremely unique please go FUD half of the other alts on the market.

Those who are with us are with us. Those who are not are against us however you will soon be with us as well. Or at least you will be buying but still talking the way you talk. I would not be here if I did not care about this coin. We have invested too much money, personal time and effort to bring this to late. A few bad grapes/idiots destroyed this whole situation for us.

Please find proof in the past where I am a 'scammer' or some crap. I created the ZET PDF that basically exposed the situation with realistic truthful facts. My documentation and proof of the situation made the price go from 6k to 18k sats. I then later found that over 15% of ZET was mined in a few hours and I had planned to release this information to the public and buy on the dips as I still believed in the validity of the coin. I recently made a call on XC that crushed my rep because I told people to hold beyond the tipping point of the parabola.

All of those who have forced people to sell their coins at dirt cheap prices with FUD please reconsider what you are doing and think. The stuff you said 4-5 days ago is now completely proven as null. People in the twitter community are retracting their statements as well. I will be buying ROX, we have things in store. We will display persistence and re-emerge. I have already used loads of personal funds and I will continue to do so until this can get back on its feet and break out of its shackles.

The price is demoralizing however things can be turned around as quickly as they went negative by proving the haters wrong and turning them around one by one. Within two weeks you guys will extremely dismayed at this opportunity. Please do not listen to me now, wait for a couple of days before you reply. Thank you - I am not a scammer. I am a human being/trader just like you guys. Go over my bitcointalk post history and please let me know if you find something frivolous or horrible.

Who even tried to attack our network? Who hates us so much at this point? We will be comparing IPs of the logins on the Bitcointalk acc w/ all the ips in the chat rooms.

ROX will come back to its feet. You will see what happens. Thank you very much, I expect a lot of hatred and negativity - please instead of doing this let me know what I can do for you. Please do not shower FUD/negative vibes. Nothing is over, this will happen. We are not scammers, we have picked out the bad grapes. This has been a topsy turvy excruciating experience for all of us. I am motivated and I am not quitting.

Thank you guys

After so much scam caught by forum members, you guys still tried to get an excuse after thinking about it for half a day, and say : trust us, we are innocent, we are hard working....

Roxcoin & Camcoin should be banned from exchanges.

Reasons:
#1 Roxcoin dev = Camcoin dev (no working developments shown in either)
#2 Roxcoin blockchain unstable often returning orphans. Bittrex disabled ROX deposit/withdrawal for the same reason
#3 Roxcoin POS interest rate is 1 to 8% which obviously not true. What do they mean by 1 to 8% ?
#4 Roxcoin promoter fireinyourhole deleted/disabled(temp) his twitter account yesterday to cause panic
#5 Roxcoin management team is partially responsible for FUD and greedy to buy cheap coins. When there was enough FUD they never bothered to respond in bitcointalk, rather they were buying for cheap. IMHO
