+1 on the US East server. I know with other pools I have used when the US East server went up and I started mining against it my profits went up. I have a 9ms ping time to the US East POP. So don't forget us on the East Coast.

Hey Trek.
I am liking the pool. I have moved back and forth testing between your site and another. I saw that you are looking at setting up a EU server. That is good news for the EU folks. I can tell you from experience that Latency does matter. But wondering if you will be setting up a East Coast server. If you setup servers on Amazon it would be easy to deploy new servers and extend services to more places. I think this maybe something to look into.

Keep up the good work.

So I have run into the problem before with Cryptsy. I have determined that they are holding coins and putting higher conformation times on coins they want to. It seems they will put a higher conformation time on coins such as Doge to push the coin down and then release them into the market when they are not as profitable. This is why I no longer trade with them. This has also been reported by alot of other users. Also they put limits on how many coins you must have before you before you can trade. This seems to be a trait of Cryptsy. I would look at trading with another exchange.

So been here almost 24 hours so far. reject rate was high and a few disconnects. To be expected with a new and growing site. I like to see we are mining the newer and smaller coins. They finish blocks really fast. So instead of lowering my intensity I reduced my scan time. I had them set for scan time = 30 and expiry = 90. I have since reduced them to scan time = 10 and expiry = 60. This has reduced my rejects by alot and my accept rate has risen. So may be something to try.

I would have to agree. I would love to be able to get better stats updates. I would also be fine with a json or api pull I could do to build my own stats page.

So I am liking the pool so far. I had previously been mining on MC for about 2 months. What I have seen so far I am liking. Definitely like the layout of the site alot more than MC. But I would make one suggestion. Maybe look at putting up a USEast server. I know that MC was struggling with rejections alot before there USEast server went online. Getting shares back to the server and high ping rates do actually matter. If alot of your users are in the East or in the EU region then there rejection rate will always be high. Just a suggestion.

Keep up the good work.

PM'ed you the TXID for the 5 5-Chip devices. Let me know if you didn't get the message.

I have not received a pm from you. Please try sending it again.

I just PM'ed you with the info. Let me know if you don't get it.

This may have already been covered. But what if any is the power source required. Does it require an external power source or is it just wall plug.

Edit: 5 Chip model.

I know this will annoy some people. But to finally put to bed the rumour that MiMiMiner is running some sparkly fandangled ASIC miner....   read his post in this thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355268.msg4371557#msg4371557

Where he says:
Hi,

Can somebody please PM me that has contacts with these people. We are very interested. Currently we have a pilot running with 80 GPU servers. We want to expand bigtime.

Thanks.

Now how one goes about getting over 900 MH/s from just 80 servers is another question - that's > 11MH/s per server.

Judging from here: https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison#AMD_.28ATI.29 the best achieved is around 1.5MH/s per watercooled 7990, so with 80 servers would require 7 or 8 cards per server.

There are motherboards available with 7 PCI-E slots (e.g. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131971) - probably more if I bothered to look harder Cheesy

Quite a feat of juggling enough power supplies, dissipating heat and keeping 7 or 8 cards per board running in a stable manner.

he didn't say he was running the big server did he? I thought he was the SECOND big account.

Yeah he is the second guy.

I hope to see more communication from h20, but in another form, like twitter or facebook... or heck, another thread without the flamethrowing.

So if you look at middlecoin.com it now has his twitter loaded in there and he is updating it regularly.

As for this thread if I was H20. I would leave it in the dust. Which I think he did since it is no longer linked on his site under news.

Hope this helps. But I think I am done with this site since he is now using twitter instead.

70% increase for me from the payout from lastnight to tonight.
Mine are up about 60% also. Really liking the new US East servers in Virginia. Can't wait too see what tomorrow brings. Added 3MH/s today.

64 bytes from 54.214.242.184: icmp_seq=3 ttl=247 time=104.180 ms

so we have to keep chasing around "the best" servers?

So in H2O's post about the new servers. He mentioned the middlecoin.com address auto selecting the best response time for your area. Since he is one Amazon they have a service called Route 53 for that. It works great for doing this. So you will not have to do anything once it is in place. It will route you to the best server and if it fails it will then redirect for you to the next best connection. So kind of like failover but done at the server instead of the miner.

US East server is rolling through the coins just like the other servers. It does hit LTC every now and then. But not constantly.

Coinbase or MT Gox.
by

So I have been using coinbase for a while now and getting good payouts with little wait time between transactions. I signed up for MT Gox a while back but never really used it because I am in the US and heard not so great things about getting payouts in a timely manor. But MT Gox is always higher on exchange rate than coinbase. So wanting to see if anyone has an opinon on it or has used MT Gox recently to exchange to US Dollars and have them payed out.
