The next version is ready as a release candidate: PhoenixMiner 6.2c.

You can download PhoenixMiner 6.2c from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.2c_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.2c_Linux.tar.gz

To check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):

The new features in this release are:

  • Using the newer AMD RX470/480/570/580 kernels even on older drivers (Windows driver 19.2.1, or newer; and Linux driver 19.10, or newer). If you want to revert to the older kernels on these drivers, use the new command line parameter -clabi 1
  • Added a workaround for the SSL pools with self-signed or expired SSL certificate: you can use the new command-line parameter -weakssl (for the pool specified by -pool), or -weakssl2 (for the pool specified by -pool2), or the new WEAKSSL: 1 option for the pools in epools.txt.
Note that this option must be specified independently for each pool: if you use -weakssl on the command line (or in config.txt), it won't affect the pools specified in epools.txt. Instead you need to add WEAKSSL: 1 for each desired pool in epools.txt
  • Fixed a crash with Nvidia cards on some older drivers (e.g. 460.79, and 460.89). If PhoenixMiner crashes or exits while showing Initializing NVML... try the new command line parameter -nvmalt
  • Validated support for AMD Windows drivers 22.4.2
  • Other small fixes

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869. Here are the signatures for the files in this release:

Hey there, just to let you know,

I am trying this update hoping to solve a minor issue about fan speed on a 6800xt I am experiencing.
Indeed constant fan speed had not been applied by PM, instead the fan speed was somehow capped at ~30%rpm. I got around the issue by asking PM to not mess with fan speed (-tt 0), I just had to open Adrenaline once PM itself started to mine, and apply a profile/set the fan curve as I wanted. Since then the fan speed follow the curve in Adrenaline. which is fine for me.

So I am running 6.2c and it runs fine.
for my fan situation, I still have to use Adrenaline curve. Although there was a little change in the sens that instead of going to 30%rpm when I setup fixed fan speed (-tt 52), PM made it run at ~62% oddly enough, but it was constant speed and better than 30% Smiley
Even tho when the miner started, it recognized my 52% setup as it is stated in the text when mining starts.

https://i.imgur.com/YaRzRA0.jpeg

adding to -tt -52, I also tried to add -fcm 2 but did not help. I wonder if -tt 42 would have resulted in 52%cfm, maybe will try it later on. For now I'm ok with my 'hybrid' solution.

Hey man, still got same error here:

Looks you are using nvidia card. Remove -clkernel as that is for AMD OpenCL and not for Nvidia CUDA.

WARNING!!!
God damn scammer DETECTED!!!  Angry Angry Angry

Link to his new URL:

The new version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.8a from here:

ZZZ

Changes in version 5.8a :
  • LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8a

V0.6.5
+ Huge performance increase on 'autolykos2' algorithm on GPU's (up to ~600%)
+ Huge performance increase on 'autolykos2' algorithm on CPU's with AVX2 (up to ~500%)
+ Added abort mechanism for 'autolykos2' dataset creation on CPU

Hey Doc! Hugs you man and tnx a lot for such good work!

Have two qestions:
1. i test two days - MULTI vs 1.9.4 on Haven on four rigs(8 cards RX470).
For MULTI i try some gpu tweak profiles and boost ...(boost 15, tweak 3 is better ... BUT  --->>>   Still 1.9.4 on custom GPU config works better. (faster, get more shares in short time)
Can you approve this?

2. Is there any command in 1.9.4 miner to start numbering GPU from 1 (not 0)?

Thank you.

Doc, greetings!!

I have two questions:

1. Today, faced with a large number of self-closing miner!
Here's the error ...

Doc, can you please explain what it is?
And why do you write "Don't be a dick." Huh  Huh

2. And I noticed that the work for you is 1.5 minutes. Logs i can include if u need!
It's an hour, right? If yes - then your commission is 2.5%, not 0.85 !!!

check your firewall/antivirus software is not blocking the miner.
For example i had a user report to me that on zone alarm even if he allowed miner connections, sometimes it blocked them.

I have a few rigs running 24h since i begun to develop the miner, on different coins, and never had it trigger the let's call it 'devfee blocking protection' mechanism.
No antivirus, no firewall and defender disabled on all those machines. Some are win7, some are win10.

Fee is 0.85%, not 2.5%
Fee mining period is never more than a minute. Also its calculated so that it is always around 0.85%/24h.

You can freely run a network sniffer to check it out.

With the commision it is clear, if you checked - ok.

These errors come from the mine, which is on a specific IP address and they are on all farms.
And all these mistakes began only today. Before that, for example, everything worked well.

On farms there are no antiviruses, firewalls. Auto-update is disabled everywhere.

The hang of the network equipment is discarded, since there expensive cisco

Is it possible to take ban on your pools because of the big number from one IP? or /// Huh
Can you have any recommendations for starting in the miner cycle?

Next version in a day or two

have a litle trouble

algo heavy

cards rx470-570 4gb
double treads work fine
in config "intensity" : 29, "double_threads" : true

single treads dont work with error
Error CL_INVALID_BUFFER_SIZE when creating scratchpad buffer for DeviceID 0 (Thread 0)
in config "intensity" : 57, "double_threads" : false

if set intensity 0 setting 44 and slow rate
same rig work fine with config "intensity" : 58, "double_threads" : false
same drivers version 18.2.1 same swap size 60gb for 12 card same windows version 1709

CL_INVALID_BUFFER_SIZE errors means you're running out of GPU mem.  Reduce your intensity.

do you read my message?
rx470 4gb card
single treads
max Intensity 45
at Intensity 46 have error

Greetings!

Tell me, did you solve the issue with an intensity of 45 in the srb miner ... encountered the same thing ...

broke the Windows account, then created a new one, but the miner stopped running with an intensity higher than 45 ...

Removing drivers, reinstalling all the software, does not help yet!

Such a moment is observed only in Heavy, on other aglorhrams the intensity is set out to be necessary !!! !!!

Anyway, I will wrap up single Lbry mining first and upload a new version as there are some critical bugs I need to address. Sorry for the wait!

...we collect some bugs a bit, when testing on three rigs. 5, 7, and 8 cards on board. so post it or later?, coz we post a lot of questions upper.

all type: rx470, sapphire, 4g, elpida (agro timings), samsung (mid agro timings).

p.s. "thank you Smiley" send on this address: BTC: 1BHwDWVerUTiKxhHPf2ubqKKiBMiKQGomZ ?? Right?

zawawa, where are you?
tnx for answers. waiting ... still 8 cards can't work normal.

and ...:
1. Does your miner work without reward to the developer?  Shocked

I am not going to answer this one.  Wink

2. How can I find out about hardware errors? (For example, as in the Gateless Gate field HW)
3. How can I find out about the complexity of the shares?

To be implemented.

4. The numbers of video cards do not correspond to AfTerBurner or GPU-Z ... etc?
5. 8 graphics cards are not recognized correctly?
5 cards - http://piccy.info/view3/11802575/ab667f9e50fd2a8a37dd41c892364ace/
8 cards - http://piccy.info/view3/11802589/ef059b5ea9c4154c9cfb0178d4927bdb/

I will look into this.

6. How to connect to European pools without using the Custom tabs

GGS automatically chooses the server with the fastest response time.
In your case, a server outside Europe responded more quickly than European servers.

1. Why? I see at the beginning of the work you are rewarded, this is not a problem! I just want an understanding of how it works.
Or is there any problem with this? I am for making your work paid for on transparent terms.
In this case, I wrote to Mr. Claymore in the forum topic ... and was not happy with his attitude and comments about the theft, etc.

2. & 3. Thank you! Waiting so much!

4&5 - i send RIGS with the same videocards. RIG bigger then 6 cards dosnt recognize correctly.

6. Thank you! I See.

7. How, in your opinion, to regulate the complexity of the pools that it is allowed to do?

8. How is it fixed to set the fan speed for video cards?

Comments: If you enter Monero's purse and click - "view balance" - the site opens without an inscribed wallet.
And // about #7: In my case it turned out like this: in the Monero string of purse, write through "." the name of the worker and through the "+" complexity.

Dude, you created this account to be a pain in the ass on every developer in this forum, if you are not happy with fee, use genoil miner its free, stop bothering everyone ffs.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Sorry, but I think I'm not talking to you?
Besides, it seems to me, I did not even ask you to write your opinion about who, where, ... and what pain in the ass?

And, by the way, the informative nature of your message is just a pain in the ass for this forum.

Zawawa, greetings from Ukrane  Wink

First of all I want to say thank you for the work and support of the miners!

There are several questions:
1. Does your miner work without reward to the developer?  Shocked
2. How can I find out about hardware errors? (For example, as in the Gateless Gate field HW)
3. How can I find out about the complexity of the shares?
4. The numbers of video cards do not correspond to AfTerBurner or GPU-Z ... etc?
5. 8 graphics cards are not recognized correctly?

... I do not understand why many write "thank you for the work," "it will not be easy" and that kind of crap ...  Undecided

If we use the program from mr. Claymore  and do not specify the "-nofee 1" option, we become mr. Claymore's clients and pay him a 2% fee (ex. SSL conn...etc).
I think Mr. Claymore should tell us "thank you" ...? Right?  Huh

I, as an active mr. Claymor's client, have a number of questions for mr. Claymore:
1. How to verify the reliability of 2% of your rewards? Real indicators are 10% or even 15%. The information is taken from the number of allocated shares on the pool and the indicators of the miner.
2. Why when I specify the option "-nofee 1" does your program report that some optimizations are disabled? And how does disabling optimizations relate to your reward? Why?
3. How does the "-h" parameter affect performance? Your measurements, recomendations?
4.  Comments on the following message when your program is running:
cannot find block data:
{"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":null,"error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}}
cannot convert blob data
How does this affect performance? Is the action accepted?
5. Will there be comments to the comparisons of the performance of your miner and  other's?
Yes, we have to thank him for is great work. With his miner I get a 10% higher hashrate on some cards. Donating him 2% gives me still 8% more profit. You don't have to use his miner! Just be a dick, take the stak miner source code, remove the fees and compile it yourself.
As already explained, it's not 2% of the shares, it's 2% of your mining time. Take a stopwatch and measure the time, the miner uses for dev-fees and the time it's mining for you.
...be a dick?
Excuse me, I did not go on insults ...

At the expense of time or shares ... think about it - 2% of the time gives a reduction of shares at 10..15% ... funny you.

The questions are clearly not for you.
Questions on the merits.

Dev fee is with stratum difficulty 50000, says so when you start the miner, if you're mining on a pool with different stratum difficulty of course you'll get major variance in share count and the fee would appear to be 10-15%. However you need to be accustomed to the most basic aspects of mining in order to make such accusations.

Can you distinguish between the concept of prosecution and questions?
Where exactly is the description of the complexity of reparation?
There is a concept of 2%. Right?
