Hash per Watt: 1070 Ti > 1080 Ti > 1070 > 1060 > 1080.

Dollar per hash is all over the board right now with market pricing well above MSRP.

I just got an 8x 1080 Ti rig going on that board with 1x M.2 PCIE adapter.  For some reason it was more difficult than the z270a - had to do some bios tweaking and plug the cards in one at a time after the first three.  I think I also rotated PCI slots if I ran into trouble with one not showing up, which for some reason resolved the problem.

This is a good question.  From what I can tell, there is no halving built into the code for now.  Meaning it will take about 8 years at a rate of 12,500 coins every 2.5 minutes to mine all of the BTCZ.  Looking at game theory, this will probably result in a rapid rise in market cap and send BTCZ into the top 100 very soon.

Hey Vann - 200-240v on the PSU, yes.  Thanks for highlighting that.  Also - huge fan of BBT and the PSU he showcased is a great one if you are running 110v.  I think he ordered it from Alibaba so not sure on delivery time.

Mining Rig Power Supply - A Better Alternative

Hello everyone -

In an effort to reduce overall cost per rig and achieve ROI faster, we have started using a different power supply. This one is a 2400w 94% efficient platinum power supply that ships with all of the necessary cables for up to 24 GPUs. Using this kit, we have reduced the cost per power supply per rig from $650 to $193.

(24x) 26in PCI-E 6pin to 8Pin 6+2 pin cable set

If you want to run the entire rig from this single PSU, you would also need the 160w ATX adapter. During testing on one of the 8x 1080 Ti rigs, we found that the ATX adapter was only pulling 25-40w, so 160w is plenty to run the motherboard, CPU and 1x SSD. They are of good quality and they are only $35 - so you could always order one and do some testing.  The support from Parallel Miner is pretty amazing.  Check out the discussions tab - I have worked with Joseph in the past.  He is very responsive and will generally respond via an email or phone call within a few hours of your request.

You would need to 160w or 180w ATX adapter and that powers the motherboard, CPU and SSD.

Hello,

Here is a link for the 2400w 94% Platinum kit from Parallel Miner.  I am using these on my 8x GTX 1080 Ti rigs now and there is plenty of room on the breakout boards to add more cards.  I use the ultimate 2400w kit ($159) + ATX adapter ($34).  Using this adapter you eliminate the need for a 2nd power supply and 160w is plently.  On my rigs, this adapter powers the motherboard ATX slot, CPU power slot and an SSD drive and doesn't draw more than 40w from the wall.  Here is a link to order -

Check the boot menu and make sure you have "enable 4g decoding" selected and also try disabling USB 3.1.

I just started using these on the warehouse rigs and can report back that they are working just fine.  Finally got everything setup correctly to run the entire rig off the one 2400w PSU with the ATX adapter.  This greatly reduces cost for the mining rigs as previously I was using a 1600 G2 and a 1000 G3 for each rig.

Once that's running perfectly you'll build your next rig cheaper and more efficient. Start small and expand

One of the best comments I have seen on these boards for quite some time.  Very well said.

We just put this one together today - getting some pretty decent hash, roughly 5850 on ZEC.  We haven't pushed it too hard yet but will probably be able to pull 6K hash pretty easily.  Surprisingly easy build w/ z270a and a M.2 PCIE adapter.
